The Native American Culture is different from the whites because they believe things like the buffalo is the most important animal because it led them to new creations like the tepee.
Attack formations. The Plains Indians were great in war because they would go in small groups and attack people. Than on the roads they did the same but they would steal the peoples horses. [ Insert your text here ]
The Land The Settlers needed land so they forced the indians to move west by sale,treaty or by force of arms.
Native American Land The Native American land was a lot better than the European land because the Native American's land was rich in soil.
Whites The whites favored the act because it ment that the whites would get more land.
Government The government favored the whites and then in court they decided that the Indians had to move.
Customs The Plains Indians believed in the Great Spirit. The Great Spirit ruled over animals and plants.It also ruled over stones.
Buffalo The buffalo to the plains indians ment there was going to be food near by so they would travel with the buffalo.
Sitting Bull Sitting Bull's real name was Tatanka-Iyotanka which ment buffalo watching.
Crazy Horse Crazy Horse was inspired by sitting bull because sitting bull was brave.
white men Were glad to see Indians go so they could get more space and they could steal the indians stuff.
Vocab Reservation- Where you reserve land to move onto of for other people to move on.  Treaty- To sign an agreement to become friends. Concentration- To focus on one thing and work hard to pay attention.
Essential Question I think that different cultures can coexist because we are all alike inside we just need to see that.
Stereotypes  We make all indians have headdresses and sing old indian songs and we make them sound like they are violent.
Respond Most of the tribes would let them take them away but there were others that would fight to stay in their land because it was where their family was laied to rest.
West The chinese and the indians were moved west and the mexicans were already out west.
Dawes-Severalty Act The Dawes-Severalty Act let the Indians extend the protection of the laws.
Thinking like a Historian I think that seeing through there eyes helped me learn the most to see what it was like for the Native Americans.
