1. In the last few years the Indian railways Turnover has fluctuate in a dramatic way .
2. When Lalu Prasad Yadav was the minister of the Indian Railways .The Indian Railways
had registered a record profit of Rs 13,431.09 crore in 2007-08.
3. When MamtaBanerjee has been selected as the minister of Indian Railways (2008-10)
.The Indian Railways had registered a huge decline in the profit compared from last years it
was declined about 93 % of the previous budget (2007-08) the railway mapes a profit of
Rs.951 crore only.

1. One of the biggest feature that Indian railway has provided to their customers is of e-
ticketing.
2. E-ticketing by this facility the people are some how relaxed a bit because he/she can book
ticket(reservation) without wasting any time or standing in queues.
3. If we look at the figures of the e-booking of tickets about 80% of the tickets are booked by
the people who are living in metro cities (NCR,Delhi,Gurgaon,Mumbai etc.)
4. There is a big drawback of booking an e-ticket that it is mandatory for the person who is
booking the ticket get his/her ticket confirmed before the time of boarding of the train
otherwise the person will be traeted as without ticket.
5. Otherwise all other quotas are there like tatkal , general and ladies.
