A self-cleaning glass called Indigo Tower uses a titanium dioxide nano-coating that breaks down air pollutants using a photocatalytic process, powered by sunlight. The largest-volume of recycled material used as construction aggregate is blast furnace and steel furnace slag. Blast furnace slag is either air-cooled (slow cooling in the open) or granulated (formed by quenching molten slag in water to form sand-sized glass-like particles). Analysis on concrete made from over burned bricks
Concrete is a composite material used for the ground that all considerate designing structure is developed with concrete
in an efforts to find an alternative material in concrete much work has been focused to use brick aggregates in producing normal
strength or even higher strength by far the most common course aggregates used in concrete is obtained from natural rock, but
type of rock suitable for concrete making is not available locally and everywhere. However, there is hardly any literature
producing previous concrete using bricks chips as course aggregates. The research was conducted to study the suitability crushed
over burnt bricks as alternative course aggregates for concrete production. The concrete cube beams and cylinders of M-25, M-
30, and M-35 grade were thrown in this trail explore work and try to analyze different properties of concrete with crushed over
burnt bricks as an alternative material. The physical properties like compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength and
workability with alternative material was used with a dosage of 10%, 20% and 30% in concrete with the age of 7, 14, 28 and 50
days of curing. The general properties of fresh and hardened concrete were tried and the outcomes were dissected. Over Burnt
bricks were casted and tested for compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, and workability. The result shows that
the aggregate that concrete derived from Over Burnt bricks aggregate attained lower strength than the regular concrete. More
detailed and elaborated work is recommended with different mix ratio and a different proportion of Over Burnt aggregates for
a better conclusion.
Introduction to Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC)
Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) contains short, closely spaced steel fibers added to concrete to improve its tensile strength. The fibers are typically 0.2-2 inches long and have a variety of possible cross-sectional shapes, such as flat, deformed, hooked, or crimped. SFRC mixes typically contain 0.2-1.0% fiber volume fraction, with higher percentages for larger aggregate sizes. The steel fibers improve the ductility and toughness of the concrete to reduce cracking and increase its post-cracking residual strength capacity.

MAGNETIC WATER IN CONSTRUCTION

Epoxy crack injection for concrete (the basics)
Epoxy injection offers a permanent repair for cracks (and delaminations) in concrete. The repair is structural, permanent and water-tight with the same lifespan as the surrounding concrete. It can be performed at temperatures as low 35°F, on cracks as narrow as 5 mils (5/1000”) and even underwater.
The cured epoxy restores the monolithic integrity of the concrete, protects the internal reinforcing steel from corrosion and is unaffected by water, chemicals and sunlight. University studies confirm that the repaired concrete matches the original strength of the uncracked concrete. A useful performance specification for the epoxy adhesive is ASTM C881, Type IV for load bearing (structural) applications. The cured high modulus epoxy generally exhibits more than 3 times the compressive strength and over 10 times the tensile strength of the surrounding concrete.
Typical structures repaired using epoxy injection include: parking decks, stadiums, concrete framed buildings, residential foundations, swimming pools, airport runways and taxiways, concrete bridge decks, floor cracking and delaminations in warehouses and manufacturing facilities, concrete pipe and tanks, concrete beams and piers and port facilities including docks, piers and pilings. Facilities where crack injection is often employed include water/sewage treatment plants, industrial sites, machinery foundations, and refrigerated and frozen food storage warehouses.
Specially trained contractors should be considered to properly perform crack repair using proper surface preparation procedures and positive displacement metering pumps to properly proportion and deliver the two component epoxy.

Self healing concrete
Self-healing concrete contains special bacteria and a chemical precursor that allow it to autonomously repair cracks. When cracks form, water activates the precursor which induces bacteria to fill the cracks with limestone, healing them. This increases the concrete's durability and service life. The bacteria, like Pseudofirmus and Cohnii, must withstand the alkaline environment. Calcium lactate is a commonly used precursor that the bacteria metabolize to precipitate limestone. This technology could enable more durable infrastructure with reduced maintenance needs.

bricks were casted and tested for compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, and workability. The result shows that
the aggregate that concrete derived from Over Burnt bricks aggregate attained lower strength than the regular concrete. More
detailed and elaborated work is recommended with different mix ratio and a different proportion of Over Burnt aggregates for
a better conclusion.

Epoxy injection offers a permanent repair for cracks (and delaminations) in concrete. The repair is structural, permanent and water-tight with the same lifespan as the surrounding concrete. It can be performed at temperatures as low 35°F, on cracks as narrow as 5 mils (5/1000”) and even underwater.
The cured epoxy restores the monolithic integrity of the concrete, protects the internal reinforcing steel from corrosion and is unaffected by water, chemicals and sunlight. University studies confirm that the repaired concrete matches the original strength of the uncracked concrete. A useful performance specification for the epoxy adhesive is ASTM C881, Type IV for load bearing (structural) applications. The cured high modulus epoxy generally exhibits more than 3 times the compressive strength and over 10 times the tensile strength of the surrounding concrete.
Typical structures repaired using epoxy injection include: parking decks, stadiums, concrete framed buildings, residential foundations, swimming pools, airport runways and taxiways, concrete bridge decks, floor cracking and delaminations in warehouses and manufacturing facilities, concrete pipe and tanks, concrete beams and piers and port facilities including docks, piers and pilings. Facilities where crack injection is often employed include water/sewage treatment plants, industrial sites, machinery foundations, and refrigerated and frozen food storage warehouses.
Specially trained contractors should be considered to properly perform crack repair using proper surface preparation procedures and positive displacement metering pumps to properly proportion and deliver the two component epoxy.

Self-healing concrete contains special bacteria and a chemical precursor that allow it to autonomously repair cracks. When cracks form, water activates the precursor which induces bacteria to fill the cracks with limestone, healing them. This increases the concrete's durability and service life. The bacteria, like Pseudofirmus and Cohnii, must withstand the alkaline environment. Calcium lactate is a commonly used precursor that the bacteria metabolize to precipitate limestone. This technology could enable more durable infrastructure with reduced maintenance needs.

Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.

Mutation Testing for Task-Oriented Chatbots
Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.
