Professor Chris Ashford welcomed attendees to his inaugural professorial lecture on the topic of historic reflections and future directions in the regulation of sexuality and sex. He explained that he would be discussing some of his own published work and offering queer perspectives. He thanked his colleagues and students for their support over the years. After the lecture, attendees were invited to continue the conversation over drinks at a nearby bar.

talking about some of my own published work as I explore historic reflections
on legal developments in sexuality and offer somequeer perspectives.
Whilst tonight is a slightly shameless ego trip (in the best traditions of an
inaugurallecture), I wouldn’tbe here talking about this work if it hadn’t been
for the awesomecolleagues and amazing students who have shared that
journey. Thank you for indulging me, supporting me and acting as a creative
