Tetracycline and chloramphenicol are broad spectrum antibiotics discovered in the 1940s-1950s. Tetracycline is obtained from soil actinomycetes and is orally effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Chloramphenicol is produced by Streptomyces venezuelae and also inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. Both antibiotics have fallen out of favor due to increasing resistance and potential adverse effects like bone marrow suppression and aplastic anemia. They were once used to treat serious infections but are now reserved as drugs of last resort.

Graphs showed moodscope ratings and average heart rate daily and hourly.
Agile is all about focus on creating value for the customer in a sustainable way. Actions that lead to business results and happier customers are a consequence of the behaviour of people. Agile coaching supports this by providing insights to people and the organization so they can choose what behaviour to change and how. This new behaviour will lead to improved business results and satisfied customers, or it leads to a more sustainable way - for the organisation - to achieve the business results.
How effective is the coaching and does it ultimately lead to changed improved business results? In this session Pieter demonstrates one way of linking the team actions to observed change in result as seen by the customer. This is demonstrated using data and methods taken from data science.
What's Measured Improves: Metrics that matterRaj Indugula
“Every line is the perfect length if you don't measure it.”
- Marty Rubin
So your organization has embarked upon a transformation to be more nimble and responsive by employing the latest tools and thinking in the Agile and DevOps arena. In this transformational context, how do you know that your initiatives are effective? Empirical measurements should provide insights on business value flow and delivery efficiency, allowing teams and organizations to see how they are progressing toward achieving their goals, but all too often we find ourselves mired in measurement traps that don't quite provide the right guidance in steering our efforts.
Rooted in contemporary thinking and tested in practice, this talk explores the principles of good measurement, what to measure, what not to measure, and enumerates some key metrics to help guide and inform our Agile and DevOps efforts. If done right, metrics can present a true picture of performance, and any progression, digression of these metrics can drive learning and improvement.
This document discusses using a Kanban/Scrum mashup approach to execute fixed price projects. It proposes using Kanban boards to visualize work in progress, limiting work in progress, and tracking progress through burndown charts. It also discusses adapting earned value management techniques to track budget and schedule by defining productivity factors that account for team ramp-up. The approach aims to bring benefits of agile and lean thinking to fixed price projects while addressing needs for budget control and commitment to timelines.

This document discusses applying daily inflation forecasts to predict Brazil's Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA). It motivates the importance of forecasting CPI for monetary policy. Currently an "Inflation Monitor" provides daily estimates but has limitations in predicting the first 6 days of collection periods. The authors propose using SARIMA models on daily data to improve initial forecasts. Their results found SARIMA models produced better predictions than the Inflation Monitor for each of the first 6 days. Future work could involve forecasting index components individually and aggregating them or estimating SARIMA models directly on daily data.
Companies need to add a critical measure of success to their operational analysis package. They need to understand and calculate inventory turns and to use that data to drive rapid throughput from receiving to shipping. Stacks of inventory at any stage in the process represent large financial losses.

prepared by Prof. BLESSY THOMAS, SPN
Empyema is a disease of respiratory system It is defines as the accumulation of thick, purulent fluid within the pleural space, often with fibrin development.
Empyema is also called pyothorax or purulent pleuritis.
It’s a condition in which pus gathers in the area between the lungs and the inner surface of the chest wall. This area is known as the pleural space.
Pus is a fluid that’s filled with immune cells, dead cells, and bacteria.
Pus in the pleural space can’t be coughed out. Instead, it needs to be drained by a needle or surgery.
Empyema usually develops after pneumonia, which is an infection of the lung tissue. it is mainly caused due in infectious micro-organisms. It can be treated with medications and other measures.

•QRS’ complex is also called the initial ventricular complex.
•‘Q’ wave is a small negative wave. It is continued as the tall ‘R’ wave, which is a positive wave.
‘R’ wave is followed by a small negative wave, the ‘S’ wave.
Cause:Ventricular depolarization and atrial repolarization
Duration: 0.08- 0.10 sec
T Wave:
•‘T’ wave is the final ventricular complex and is a positive wave.
Cause:Ventricular repolarization Duration: 0.2 sec
Intervals and Segments of ECG:
P-R Interval:
•‘P-R’ interval is the interval
between the onset of ‘P’wave and onset of ‘Q’ wave.
•‘P-R’ interval cause atrial depolarization and conduction of impulses through AV node.
Duration:0.18 (0.12 to 0.2) sec
Q-T Interval:
•‘Q-T’ interval is the interval between the onset of ‘Q’
wave and the end of ‘T’ wave.
•‘Q-T’ interval indicates the ventricular depolarization
and ventricular repolarization,
i.e. it signifies the
electrical activity in ventricles.
Duration:0.4-0.42sec
S-T Segment:
•‘S-T’ segment is the time interval between the end of ‘S’ wave and the onset of ‘T’ wave.
Duration: 0.08 sec
R-R Interval:
•‘R-R’ interval is the time interval between two consecutive ‘R’ waves.
•It signifies the duration of one cardiac cycle.
Duration: 0.8 sec

How to find heart rate using ECG?
If heart Rhytm is Regular :
Heart rate =
300/No.of large b/w 2 QRS complex
= 300/4
=75 beats/mins
How to find heart rate using ECG?
If heart Rhytm is irregular:
Heart rate = 10×No.of QRS complex in 6 sec 5large box = 1sec
5×6=30
10×7 = 70 Beats/min
Abnormalities of ECG:
Cardiac Arrythmias:
1.Tachycardia

Sectional dentures for microstomia patients.pptxSatvikaPrasad
Microstomia, characterized by an abnormally small oral aperture, presents significant challenges in prosthodontic treatment, including limited access for examination, difficulties in impression making, and challenges with prosthesis insertion and removal. To manage these issues, customized impression techniques using sectional trays and elastomeric materials are employed. Prostheses may be designed in segments or with flexible materials to facilitate handling. Minimally invasive procedures and the use of digital technologies can enhance patient comfort. Education and training for patients on prosthesis care and maintenance are crucial for compliance. Regular follow-up and a multidisciplinary approach, involving collaboration with other specialists, ensure comprehensive care and improved quality of life for microstomia patients.
