Was a Spanish explorer and conquistador .
He became the first Governor of puertorico by appointment of the Spanish crow
He let the first know European expediton to La Florida , wich the name during
his first voyaje to the area in 1513 .
Through in popular culture , he was supposedly searching for the Fountain of Youth ,
tere is no contemporary evidence to support the story , wich all modern historians call
a myth

9. ROSA CHACEL
Rosa Chacel was a teacher who sent her to live with her
grandmother in Madrid but they lived in Valladolid.
She was born in 1898 and she died in 1994.
During 1909, Chacel´s mother enlisted her at Madrir´s "Escuela de
artes y oficios" to study drawing ,but,soo after, Chancel followed her
teacher , fernanda francés ,to the newly built Escuela del hogar y
Profesional de la Mujer , also in Madrid.
