Biography
• Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth ,England
• His parents were John Dickens (clerk in naval), and Elizabeth Barow.
• He worked in a blacking factory in London when he was 10 years old
while his father went to prison for some money he borrowed and
can't returned.
• With this hard situation he wrote many novels like Oliver Twist and
he became famous.
• When his great-grandmother died and transmitted money ,so he paid
his father debts and stop working after that.
• He has more than 17 novels.

Summary of story
Oliver biography:
 This story is about a young orphan (Oliver) who tries to stay good but
the society refuse to help.
 Oliver is born in a workhouse, from unknown mother(no one knows
her).She died while giving birth of Oliver.
 He is sent to orphanage. Then, he sent to workhouse at nine years
old where they were treated him badly.
 Orphans decided to ask for their right of food ,so Oliver was their
representative after he was selected by draw straws method.
First event:
 Mr. Bumble sent Oliver to undertaker family Mr.
Sowerberry. Oliver ran away to London after they
hurt his mother memory .He took seven days to
reach London.
Second event:
 He became a friend with Noah who took Oliver to Fagin
(thieves band boss)
Fagin trained Oliver all pickpockets and thieves techniques.
 Oliver arrested while thieves stole Mr. Brownlow who took
care of Oliver after this problem.
Third event:
 The band decided to bring Oliver back ,so they sent Nancy .
Then, Oliver forced to go on house breaking mission with
Charley in Mrs. Maylie house. At this mission Oliver was shot ,
thieves ran a way and Fagin had known the news.After that,
Oliver was taken care and protected by Mrs. Maylie.
Fourth event:
 Nancy overhearing Fagin and Monks ,so she decided to tell
Rose Maylie what she knows and tells that Monks is
Oliver’s half-brother who has been trying to destroy Oliver
to get all inheritance. As a result, Ms.Maylie teels Mr.
Brownlow at the same day Fagin sent Noah to spy on
Nancy.
Fifth event: The true
 Fagin tells Charley about Nancy .
 Mr. Brownlow was a friend of Monk father and knew the true
. As a result, he found and met Monks who admits every
thing he did.
 The truth is that when Monks parents were separated his
father found a new girl friend before went abroad And she
was Oliver mother.
Conclusion:
 Nancy was killed by Charley .
 Monks singed the statement who Mr.Brownlow made to returne Oliver
his money and property.
 Fagin is arrested for many crimes.
 Charley falls of a roof himself while escaping form people come after
him.
 Oliver, Mr. Brownlow, and the Maylies live in a peace and in a small
village in the English countryside.
Two words:
inheritance(n): money, property, etc., that is received from someone
when that person dies.
Undertaker(n): A person whose job is to arrange and manage funerals.
Important massage & recommendation:
There is a battle between good and evil. The novel encourage us to
be not give up , have a hope , and look for good people in this world.
I recommend this story because it is a mix between complexity and
happy end.
