Indian television media has significantly impacted Pakistani culture through various avenues. Drama serials from Indian channels like Star Plus have become very popular in Pakistan and expose viewers to Indian culture through depictions of clothing, marriage ceremonies, and traditions. Additionally, the popularity of Indian movies has increased the influence of Western and Indian styles of dressing, incorporation of Hindi words into Urdu, and negative stereotypes of Muslims. Certain festivals and practices from India like kite flying, fireworks, and singing/dancing competitions have also been adopted into Pakistani culture through exposure via Indian media.

impact on Pakistan’s media, culture and public. If
we talks about TV dramas the one leading
channel of India is Star plus, Which is now
favourite TV channel of Pakistani, almost more
than other TV channels.
Star plus and other TV Channels of India has
impact on Pakistani public, they show more their
culture in their dramas rather than story.

Indian media always criticize Pakistan in form
of dramas and films or in reality.

Traditionally it’s said that Basant(kite flying) is celebrated to bid
farewell to Winter season and to announce the arrival of Spring
season.
Basant is not the part of Pakistani culture and they have to face
a great loss of casualities and finance due to heartrending
Phenomenon of kite flying. Inspite of this high contradict regarding
celebrating Basant the people find ways and means to celebrate
this Basant.

 Indians through out the world celebrate with fireworks as
parts of their popular ‘Festivals of lights’(Diwali). Quieter
varieties of fireworks are more popular for this festival.
 It is a festival of Hindu religion, but they adopt this occasion
from Indian Culture. They use fire crackers even at Islamic
occasion For Ex. Shab E Barat.
