2. INTRODUCTION
• Facebook is a social networking service (social
utility) that connects people with friends &
others who work, study & live around them.
Facebook was launched in February 2004. As of
September 2012, Facebook has over one billion
active users.
• All social networks are created for the
beneficial use of all, but, it depends on how the
user devotes their time for it in his daily life. One
can use Facebook as a source of knowledge,
mode of business, news mediator, advertising
agent, and marketing, contacting with family or
friends staying apart.

3. OBJECTIVES
• To create awareness about the
positive & negative effects of social
networking site FACEBOOK in the
youth generation.
• To guide the upcoming generation
to use FACEBOOK in a right
direction.

4. INFORMATION
• As per news in daily.bhaskar.com,
Facebook helps girl unite with parents after
20 years. In this case, Facebook is been
used as mode of communication.

5. • As per survey, people are
getting addicted to Facebook.
They are wasting their precious
time by chatting with friends
and most of them are unknown
people whom they don’t know
personaly! Many are cheated
by fake accounts! Here,
Facebook is used as drug!
• As per interaction with
students & lecturers, majority
of students lose their interest
towards studies by using
Facebook applications & they
get addicted to it. A very few
use Facebook to gain
information by interacting with
efficient scientist, universities &
laboratories.
