2. First off I decided to use ‘Danube’ font for my
masthead because its clear and simple.
Here are the other fonts I would
have used:

3. Images
This is the image I chose for my magazine cover.
CAMERA: Fujifilm Finepix S2980
ISO: 100
APERTURE: f/4.2
EXPOSURE: 1/125th
FOCAL LENGTH: 26mm
I took the idea of having a younger subject/ new face
as the front cover model, instead of the usual
conventions of having a famous or usual subject.
I carefully got the subject to pose for a eye-level mid
shot, this is so it’s easier for me to produce space for
the sell lines. I also took the image like this to focus in
addition to his clothing. Plus, the subject is Caucasian
which subverts the stereotypes of Hip-Hop/Rap origin
magazine covers.
4. Images
Here is the secondary image of this subject.
CAMERA: Fujifilm Finepix S2980
ISO: 100
APERTURE: f/4.2
EXPOSURE: 1/125th
FOCAL LENGTH: 26mm
Here, the subject has different posture and more rather relaxed so I
could try different effects on the cover whilst editing. I also
carefully got him to pose in a youthful manner this could interest
the reader, this could connote the unique aspects of Alternative
Hip-Hop especially since he is subverts the stereotype of a rapper.
Though, I felt that this image wasn’t as effective as the other as a cover
for a music magazine. This is because of the issues with presenting
the masthead.
6. Cover
First drafting I wanted the model to be in front of the masthead and in order for me to do this i had to use the
quick selection tool and draw around the area that i wanted to be in front which was the models head. Then I
added a new layer > layer via copy which is just of the area selected then i just moved that layer on top of
the masthead layer.
I also found that the models head was too dark therefore I used the quick selection tool and highlighted the head and
adjusted the brightness of it.
However, I then noticed that I could just place the masthead above his head so it would make the overall magazine much more clearer.
Next i sectioned my sell lines by dividing them with lines and also added my magazines artist feature on the bottom.
