This document outlines the requirements for a research project on international human resource management practices. Students must form groups of 4 and select 2 companies located in different countries. Their report must include: 1) The companies' international staffing practices and issues in expatriate selection; 2) Cross-cultural training programs for expatriates; 3) Components of expatriate compensation packages and legal issues; 4) Performance appraisal processes and rewards for expatriates; and 5) Repatriation programs. They must also compare practices of Indian companies to the selected companies. The project is due January 12, 2015.
