One study used a measurement of interviewing the parent and child, along with different

companion, if there were any gender differences, and whether children would be more likely to
have a negative self image. M. Taylor interviewed both children and their parents and demonstrated
that the parents of younger children seemed more aware of their child having an imaginary
companion, while only 20% of parents with children aged 6 to 7 knew, supporting study by Hurlock
(1932). As cited in Manosevitz, a study done by Schmechel found direct questioning of the child
about their imaginary companions had a higher occurrence (50%) compared to parental report
(31%) (Manosevitz, 1977). Further suggesting that parental report alone is not affective in

questionnaires including the Activity Questionnaire, Creative Functioning Test, the Unusual Uses

III. Hypothesis: If I stack quarters on a wet paper towel, then Bounty will be able to hold the most

V. Procedures:
Gather Materials all materials
Test the first paper towel brand by laying a strip vertically on the desk
Drop five drops of water on to the center of the paper towel
Place a quarter in the center as well, over wet surface
Have the person then elevate the piece of towel by grasping opposite ends
Continue adding quarters within five second intervals to the paper towel no longer supports it
Record the set amount of quarters the towel last held up securely
Repeat steps three through seven with other brands
Repeat entire experiment twice more

Therefore, my hypothesis was proven to be incorrect. During the experiment, I placed quarters
onto a single paper towel of each brand at 5 second intervals. I continued to place quarters on top
of the paper towel until it tore. I repeated this process for a total of three trials per paper towel
brand. After each trial, I recorded the number of quarters that the paper towel held. The results

The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allen Poe tells the tale of a man that is wronged and avenges
this wrong in the most sinister way possible. After being insulted by a man named Fortunato, the
narrator [vows] revenge but more specifically wants to punish with impunity (qtd. in Meyer
536), this is the primary conflict in the story: the narrators hope to avenge this insult without
getting caught. The narrator creates an elaborate scheme to murder Fortunato, but never
explicitly states what Fortunato did to insult him. The narrator uses Fortunato s weakness for
wine and lures him into the catacombs of the Montresors (qtd. in Meyer 537). Montresor plays
to Fortunato s pride and tells him he has come into possession of a bottle of Amontillado, a rare
wine, and would like for Fortunato to use his extensive wine knowledge to see if the wine is
genuine or not. The climax of the story is the moment at which Fortunato is chained to the wall of
the catacombs. Under his ploy, Montresor is able to get Fortunato into the deepest part of the
catacombs where he has set up supplies to bury Fortunato alive behind a brick wall. Poe builds
