Valerie Thomas Research Paper
Have you ever thought of how cool it is to be able to sit and watch a movie in which the images
appear to come out at you in 3 D? If so, and even if you haven t, you have Valerie
Thomas to thank. Valerie Thomas made and patented the Illusion Transmitter which later led to
3 Dimensional images. This was a big contribution to our modern day technology and even
NASA research. Valerie Thomas is one out of many African Americans who influenced
American history.
Valerie Thomas was born in 1943 in Maryland. While Growing up, she was always interested in
technology. Once, Valerie watched her dad take apart their television. She was mesmerized by all
the mechanical parts, thus, sparking her interest in technology. Thomas loved making and tinkering

With flat mirrors, it would produce a reflection that would seem to lie behind the surface of a
glass. With concave mirrors, the reflection would appear to be out in front of a mirror, thus,
producing a three dimensional optical illusion. After these findings, Thomas believed that this
method could be used in a more accurate representation of video data. She not only viewed this as a
potential breakthrough for commercial television, but also an opportunity for NASA and its image
delivery system.
After a year of working with her process, Thomas applied for a patent on December 28,
1978, and the patent was issued on October 21, 1980. This innovation was like the method of
holographic generation of picture recording which utilizes rational radiation and utilizes front
wave recreation systems. Explanatory mirrors can render these optical figments with the
utilization of an inward reflect close to the subject and a second curved reflect at a remote site. In
the depiction of her patent, the procedure was clarified: Optical illusions may be produced by
parabolic mirrors wherein such images produced thereby are possessed with three dimensional
attributes. The optical effect may be explained by the fact that the human eyes see an object

Columbus Didn T Discover Us Leppzer
The short film Columbus Didn t Discover Us by Robbie Leppzer explores the cultures and opinions
of the indigenous populations of the Americas that were on the continent prior to Christopher
Columbus arrival in 1492. The video coincides with the five hundred year anniversary of his
discovery. However, instead of celebrating, the indigenous populations from all over the continents
gathered together in Ecuador to participate in the historic first continental conference of indigenous
peoples(Leppzer). They discuss the impact that Columbus had on the land, but also their hopes for
the future. The diverse variety of indigenous populations gathered at the conference speaks to the
great effect Columbus had on the entire North, South, and Central

5 Fastest Growing Real Estate Markets in South Asia
South Asia is the world s fastest growing region where the value and importance of real estate is
more than anywhere else in the world. It is a diverse continent where people have different ways
of trading. You must know the fastest growing real estate markets in South Asia before you start
your property search. The 5 fast growing real estate markets in south Asia are discussed below
Pakistan real estate market
Pakistan s economy faced depression in 2012. In 2013, the political scenario was quite
unpredictable and challenging but the position of Lahore real estate market was relatively
attractive for the same year. It was due to the success of the agricultural sector. Generally the
political scenario does not have a deep impact on the real estate market because the economy of
Pakistan is quite informal and investors are attracted to invest in the property market. The year
2014 was also positive for the economy of Pakistan and since the beginning of this year, real estate
market of Pakistan showed stability in both residential and commercial terms.
Now the real estate market is showing positive results. The demand of the properties in the leading
cities like Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi is also increased along with some increase in the prices.
New and existing projects also show upward growth. Rawalpindi/Islamabad real estate markets are
growing and receiving more investments but Lahore property market is going through

Death s Shocking Truth By Emily Dickinson
Death s shocking truth
Emily Dickinson wrote two poems I heard a buzz when I died and Because I could not stop for
death . In these two poems, Emily Dickinson, describes two very different death experiences.
While doing so Dickinson describes what she believes death to be. The poem I Heard a buzz when
I died, takes a rough route to death with an even rougher shock. The other poem Because I could
not stop for death, takes a gentler route to death with a not so gentle shock. However out of these
poems, I heard a buzz when I died, receives the worst shock. This character faces the brutal shock
of death without any closure. Tension build up is one reason I heard a buzz when I died, is
more shocking. Dickerson does a good job build up to the death. Rather than just dying
Dickinson describes vivid revelations prior to death. In the first stanza of I heard a buzz when
died, Dickinson describes a room full of stillness. There are people in this room but no movement
or sound. The stillness is a representation of the calm before the storm. We can all agree Dickinson
is foreshadowing something intense was about to happen. While in the first stanza of I could not
stop for death, the naive character is simply picked up and greeted by death himself .This character
is spared the negative thoughts of what death feels like. The character has nothing to worry about.
She has met death straight on and isn t afraid. According to Frank Bernhard, author of

ABSTRACT: Spirometers are used to measure lung capacity and response of lungs and chest
during physical therapy. Current spirometers available in the market are expensive and usually
cost over $1,000. Due to this high cost, many physicians practicing in developing countries like
India, cannot afford spirometry equipment. As a result, millions of people with chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, are unable to be effectively monitored or treated for
their disease. Thus, the development of a low cost reliable spirometer would allow these
physicians to assess their patient s pulmonary health. All these factors led to the development of
a product which addresses cost issues as well as technical accuracy[1] . A computer based
miniaturized spirometer system is Designed to be realized which would use a solid state
pressure sensor. A proto type of a Computer based Spirometer system has been realized which
would employ a solid state single port pressure sensor. A dedicated analog signal acquisition and
processing channel has been designed and tested along with the solid state pressure sensor.

Summary Of Smile For The Camera, By Kelle James
Reading this novel you would find a young girl in a world all by yourself due to an abusive father.
This story is called Smile for the Camera, by Kelle James. There s a 16 year old girl named Kelle
James who ventured off to the big city, New York, to get away from her abusive father who didn
t treat her any good. Her plan was to become a rich model and live off her modeling money, but it
all didn t work out as planned. When Kelle arrived in the megalopolitan area she lived in the
Barbizon Hotel for Women where she could start her journey for modeling event s called go

Throughout Kelle s experiences she meets men, other models, and she learns a significant
amount of good and bad advices. In my opinion the book was a unique plot and it had me
intrigued all the way till the end the pages were an ease to go through and I wish there was more
to offer, as to more books. There was always some drama going on in the book so I would never
set it down for a break. I would like for the series to continue if it could, but overall it was a very
great and I would read it again. In this reading it shows how the life of a teenager living on her
own can be really difficult without a parent, but can be good for the young girl because she can
learn from her mistakes and it gives the teen a good life lesson on the consequences. Throughout
the book Kelle grows up and faces many challenges. Most young teen readers can relate to Kelle
since most of us teens are starting to think about life all on there own and they can have an real
idea of what it would look

Propaganda In Advertising
In advertisement, propaganda is all around. It is in newspaper articles, television ads, movies, and
a plethora of other things. Propaganda is a type of advertisement that shows how good or how
much better a product is that anything else in that department. Advertisers lean heavily on
propaganda to sell products, whether the products are a brand of toothpaste, a candidate for office,
or a particular political viewpoint. (The Longman Writer McClintock s Essay Pg. 232). There are
seven main types of propaganda, Name Calling, Glittering Generalities, Transfer, Testimonial,
Plain Folks, Card Stacking, and Bandwagon. Since its first use, most people when they hear
propaganda, think only about political ads but that is not all that propaganda is used for. Although
propaganda may seem relevant only in the political arena, the concept can be applied fruitfully to
the way products and ideas are sold in advertising. (The Longman Writer McClintock s Essay Pg.
232) Two very good examples of using propaganda techniques are a State Farm commercial, and a
Farmers advertisement. The State Farm ad is a beautifully done, two minute long commercial that
is meant to pull on the heart string of the watcher with a technique such as Plain Folks. The
farmers advertisement on the other hand is a think out of the box comical commercial that does not
cause emotions to stir but instead makes up it up with a Testimonial. Both ads are very appealing to
the eyes and don t use attacks on another

Essay on Conflict, Disarray, and War in Democratic...
Recently, war has become a huge problem in many countries around the world. War is defined
as a violent mass conflict between two or more armed forces or actors in warfare. The
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), previously known as Zaire gained independence from
Belgium in 1960 and immediately descended into a state of conflict and disarray. It is a vast
country, covering territory about the size of Western Europe and include a wide variety of
geographic regions. However, the war is ravaging the land in one of the most complex African
conflicts. The Democratic Republic of Congo is currently at war due to several reasons. Conflict
prevention was meant to be an integral part of the operation and was covered by the mandate. Thus,

(Peace).Unfortunately; violence continued until 2009. The DRCis fighting with Rwandan militias

violence and conflict between the two groups. According to the International Rescue Committee ,
5.4million people have been killed, and 3.4 million have left their homes. This war in the Congo is
due to negligence, and nonalignment of the country. Finally, some remarkable progress has been
made in consolidating the peace process, culminating in the imminent installation of the transitional
government and other institutions. 2. Analyze the specific actions that the leadership of the
selected country has taken, through the use of its foreign aid from donor nations and international
lending institutions, to relieve the severe problems caused by warfare. Foreign aid plays an
important role in the developing countries. War has caused famine, malnutrition, and high rate of
mortality in the DRC. There is aid from donors in many countries around the globe. Africa,

What Is The Mood Of The Lady Of Shalott
In the poem The Lady of Shalott, we find a woman, who is trapped inside of her own home by a
curse. She is faced with the fact that she cannot experience reality due to this curse that for
whatever reason has been placed on her. The poet uses imagery and symbolism to portray the
feelings in the story as well as the hidden meanings within the poem. Imagery within the story
poses the mood of the setting. The poem states, Four gray walls, and four gray towers, overlook
a space of flowers (Part 1, Stanza 2). The poet describes the place in which the lady dwells as being
very dreary, and lonesome. Also, the poet talks about the Lady of Shalottbeing tired of the shadows

Both the mirror and the loom act as key symbols in the story. For the mirror, it represents the
absence or even a fake reality. The Lady of Shalott longs for experience of true reality, in which
she cannot experience due to the curse imposed on her. Though a mirror reflects the image of
reality, what is seen is not the actual thing. The loom acts in a similar way. As the woman slaves
over her works of art, she never directly sees the progression of her craft, but only the reflection
of it. In light of the Victorian era, art acts in the same way. Art is a portrayal of reality from the
view of the artist. Like the role of the mirror, art does not directly show reality but the reflection of

A black SEO has unethical strategies focused on improving search engine results only nothing

In this case the J.C. Penney s would be considered a black hat SEO because they didn t care about

Hollywood Is Like A Battle
Maggie Quigley, a 29 year old Asian/ White Actress, told Associated Press that competition for
roles in Hollywood is like a battle. Even with her roles beside many top tier actors and actresses,
she believes that It s a struggle. You got to win roles. You really got to fight for them. When I
left Asia and went to the U.S., essentially I was starting over. It s very hard...The first part of it is
going into a room (for an audition) and trying to quell this stigma that people have about Asians
only doing certain kinds of roles and Asians only being looked at a certain way, Quigley said. You
run into these stereotypes a lot. (Lee)

So the one Asian guy in Star Wars disintegrates on an Imperial Starship. Just like how Asians are
stereotyped daily on their driving. But it is not just under representation, Hollywood is actually
giving away roles to white people that should be for Asians; the term is called white washing .
Apparently there is some belief in Hollywood that Asian leads just will not be understood by
American public.
For example, the movie 21. The movie is based on a true story about a group of MIT students led
by John Chang and focusing on player Jeff Ma. They used card counting to win a fortune in
blackjack. Yet Hollywood finds it boring. No one would want to watch two Asians playing
blackjack. Why not make the cast almost all white and add sex and drinking? And that is what they
literally did.
Most members of the team were Asian males, but you wouldn t know that from watching the
movie. The author of the nonfiction story that inspired the film, Ben Mezrich, told an audience of
MIT students that early on in the moviemaking process, studio executives told him most of the
film s actors would be white, with perhaps an Asian female. This is consistent with Hollywood s
larger trend. (Scherker) I mean that is crazy! That was a real story based on real people and they
just said Ah, we do not want to cast Asians. Let us just make them white.

Famous Speeches Of The Great Awakening
Jessica Gebert Famous Speeches Final Paper The first known recordings of eulogistic discourse
emerged from the ancient Greek tradition, where the funeral speech developed out of the formal
laudation or commemoration of those who had fallen in battle for their country. Some of the best
examples of this type of eulogistic rhetoric include Cicero s de Orator and Pericles Funeral
oration. Stylistically the structure of these orations typically concentrated heavily on the mourning
of the deceased and then transitioned into the celebration of their life. (Kent, 2007). While the
traditional Greek structure lasted many decades, as early as the 1700 s a shift in style of funeral
orations began to emerge. Many attribute this stylistic change to the Great Awakening as new
Protestant sects began incorporating more expressive and ceremonial approaches to their
memorials. As funerals became increasingly extravagant spectacles, funeral sermons began to
incorporate biography, praise, and emotional expression developments that laid a foundation for
the popularization of the eulogy genre. (Henderson, 2011) In Owen Peterson s volume of
Representative American Speeches, he notes, A eulogy has two distinctive characteristics which
sets it apart from most other forms of public address: (1) it is meant to be delivered at a
ceremonial occasion to honor the subject; and (2) it is designed to be heard by an audience that
already shares the speaker s respect, affection, or admiration for

Vehicular Ad Hoc Network Lab Report
The principle consists of initialising the minimum (Trmin) and maximum transmission (Trmax)
rate. Based on the IEEE802.11p, all mobiles involved in the Vehicular Ad hoc Network
(VANET) are synchronised and will switch from Service Channel (SCH) to Control Channel
(CCH) every sync period as depicted in Fig.1. A sync period is 100 ms which correspond to a
switching frequency of 10 Hz. Because CAMs/BSMs and DENMs are broadcasted and
exchanged during the CCH time interval, therefore, in the proposed algorithm, Trmax = 10 and
Trmin= 1. If all nodes are synchronized to transmit at specific period of time (CCH interval); if the
channel bandwidth is large enough, then each node will receive a message copy of its neighbours.
This is the main... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In our model, the choice of minimum CBR (CBRMin) is any value smaller than CBRMax while
the average CBR (CBRAv) is comprised between the minimum and the maximum. The
transmission delay (T0) is initialised at one second and the rate or frequency is initialised at 10
Hz. The algorithm begins at full rate when the CBR is less than CBRMin. When the CBR
becomes greater than the CBRMin and less than the CBRMax, the rate is adjusted as a function
of T0, О» and О±. When the CBR becomes greater than CBRMax, the rate is decreased by
increasing T0 until the CBRAv is achieved and T0 is equal to 1 or less. In general, the idea
consists of computing the differential CBR (О», О»1), the transmission delay T0 as well as the
coefficient О± to adjust the broadcasting delay as a function of a preset CBRMax. The IDBSMA
concept is build upon the DBSMA while taking into consideration the preset CBRMax. For
clarification, the flow diagram of the proposed algorithm is depicted in Fig.2. The proposed
IDBSMA algorithm was implemented in Matlab and several simulations performed to assess and
evaluate the effectiveness of the IDBSMA against the DBSMA. Although, the DBSMA
performance was already demonstrated against its peer in [8], some weaknesses in terms of
robustness were observed. Considering the likehood of car accident

Essay On African American Studies
African American Studies is a very complex subject. To confuse African American studies with
black history is a common occurrence. African American studies is much deeper and more
profound than just Black history alone. There are many unanswered and unasked questions
among the Black American culture which causes confusion and misunderstanding in modern
day society. In unit one there were many themes, concepts, and significant issues in the
discipline of Africana studies. Both W.E.B Du Bois and Vivian V. Gordan touched on many
concerns. W.E.B Du Bois The souls of Black Folks touches on issues of the black community
and being considered a problem . African Americans are not only considered a problem in today
s world, but also in the late 1800 s and early 1900 s. W. E. B Du Bois once said the problem of
the Twentieth Century is the problem of the color line. (p. 13) Being a part of the black scholar
community one has to understand the difference between complexity of blackness and black
genius. As a member of the black community one should not feel as though we are the problem, but
the solution to an issue. Vivian V. Gordan

zones is the racism aspect. In Brazil, It has remained a critical aspect of separation, in terms of the
settlement, service delivery, and employment opportunities among others. In major cases, the black

It can be then noted that a European tourist, a non citizen, who feels threatened by a black person
gets state security. The status is worrying considering that the taxpayers and the citizens normally
provide the state security.
The concept of black citizenship is demonstrated by the Berlin wall concept, an allegory of racial
apartheid in Bahia. Apartheid and the wall have similar roles in that apartheid enforces
separation between races, which mostly applies to the invidious structure and racial inequality.
Though the Brazil case is different from that of South Africa, it has a history that subtly divides
the nation into races. The nature of citizenship of the black community and the whites in Brazil
can be claimed to be different. Afro Brazilians are considered as the national subjects who are
required to adhere to the laws of the land. Specifically, black peoples are required to pay taxes,
register for cards and vote in elections. Moreover, black Brazilians are subjected to aggressive
policing characterized by intense surveillance. In Brazil, the blackness and citizenship have
occurred in numerous times but in a less explicit way . It has been conditional and shaky. In most
cases, the government officials intensely had to debate on the extent to which the black population
could be full citizens, but through hiding. Despite being legal subjects, they don t actually enjoy
equal rights such as protection by the state

Fibre Optic Telecommunications Systems:
Fibre optic telecommunications is simply a method of transmitting information from one place to

that the signal does not become too distorted or weak, receiving the optical signal, and converting
it into an electrical signal. An optic fibre is a small fibre no thicker than a human hair, either made

Mobile Phones
Brief Description of how mobile phones work:
A mobile phone is a device that allows for two people to be connected over the world by a radio
link. This is done by connecting to a cellular network, which is provided by telecommunication
companies such as Telstra, Optus and Vodaphone being the three main in Australia. Once the
cellular network is established it then connects to a cell, which is a tower, then the other phone. If
the phone is out of reach from one the original tower the cell may transfer the call to another cell,
this process is now so efficient and fast that both caller and receiver would never notice that this
has taken place. This uses electromagnetic waves between substation to substation this is a
combined technology of radio and the telephone. Modern day mobile phones have a wide variety of
uses compared to the original mobile phones such as calling, text messages, multi media messages,
email, internet access, games, applications, calculators, music, videos, high resolution cameras and
many other options that a only on some devices these are things like Microsoft capabilities and also

As a college student athlete, there are often times when I become overwhelmed with stress and
anxiety. I am a member of the Southeastern Lionettes Dance Team and Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority
so I have numerous responsibilities for myself, my teammates and my sisters. With such large
responsibilities comes crucial timemanagement. I easily become overwhelmed because I am so hard
on myself because I have always been a straight A student and school a very important aspect of my
life.
I stress about studying and getting all of my assignments done on time, to the best of my ability.
Between dance, school and sorority, it is vital that I manage my time and work load. When
completing assignments, I get extremely stressed because I am a perfectionist and I struggle
with severe OCD. I want everything to be done perfectly and at times it is hard for me to
understand that not everything has to completed that way. To eliminate stress caused by time
management, I can create a weekly calendar and include specific times to study select classes and
plan ahead. With a set itinerary of when to complete my schoolwork, I will be able to get to sleep
earlier at night, reducing stress from day to day.
Throughout each year, I become stressed about what the future will hold. I fear that I will not get
accepted into physical therapy school and that my dreams will be crushed. I try to remain
optimistic at times but my fear of the unknown creates stress within my everyday life. When faced

Evaluation Of A Student Nurse
As I am getting closer to the end of the practicum, I can see myself on the floor, daily, with my
fellow RN s. I feel as I am part of the team then simply a student nurse. At the beginning of my
student nursing career, I felt that were so many limitations, but then, slowly, these perceived
restrictions were removed. There are still things that I am not allowed to do, but now I do not
have to ask the nurse if I can do a head to toe on the patient. I walk in the room and perform
assessment of vital signs without the nurse guiding me. I would check in first with my preceptor
if there is someone or something I should not do, but most of the time I am clear to do so. Since I

I did not want anyone to think that I am not a team player. I never think any job is too small for
me, because one day I would need someone else s help on the job anywhere I work. If there was
a reason why I was not able do the tasks I would communicate with staff, but I have not done so
far. When a client needed to be placed on a bedpan or required a change and the tech was busy, I
would jump in and help out. I decided that I would take charge of the situation without being
told. When I was done helping with ADL s of the clients, I also thought when the following pain
medication is due and communicated with the client when it was due. It seemed to help when
they know that two people are on top of the medication schedule. Communication with each
patient is important in the nursing process. When one does not give information to the patient,
anxiety levels have the potential to increase. Even if one does not know the answer to a certain
question, with just a simple acknowledgement with the patient, the two way communication can
go a long way. Weaknesses My weaknesses would be a skill of inserting IV s into patients. I
have done a few, but I feel as my skills needed continual fine tuning. I know what had to do next
time I am on the floor. I need to ask any nurse if they have to insert an IV to let me try first. The
fear of doing such a task is starting to dissipate when I approach the client. My

Leonardo Da Vinci s Accomplishments Essay
For the most part of future generations, there is a part of our people, where just being just an
inventor, or just an artist. Two of which are Leonardo Da Vinci, and Thomas Alva Edison, they
both excelled the impossible by becoming great inventors, but the question is, who is greater?
These two were both highly skilled inventors, but da Vinci s achievements make him the greatest
out of the two.
Leonardo Da Vinci was born April 15, 1452, he was known as a Renaissance man , giving the idea

Da Vinci was a man who opened our minds to a whole new world, a new frontier of impossibles

Water Supply Between Industrialized And Developing Nations
Currently, only 2.5 to 3 percent of all the natural water sources available on Earth are composed
of fresh water as written by Paul Alois, a researcher and writer for The World Bank. Alois
continues, less than 1 percent is easily accessible for human use due to most of the natural water
sources being unaccessible. As the global population grows, the environment keeps changing, and
over usage of water sources continues, freshwater sources are only going to deplete even further.
Consequently, 2 billion people lack access to clean water and more than 80 countries are presently
suffering from water scarcity as reported by The World Bank, a nonprofit scientific research

Glenton adds that In 2000, Americans used a staggering 408 billion gallons of water each day.
Utilizing the given statistics, it s safe to assume that the number of gallons being used by
american daily have increased tremendously. Yet, these numbers are dramatically different if
compared with less developed countries. In an article written by Mark Fischetti, an author for
The Scientific American, Fischetti demonstrates that The U.S had the highest per capita water

of more privileged nations taking their water resources for granted, it has become apparent that less
privileged nations experience the most backlash. As a result, the fresh water scarcity has caused the

My Partner And I Chose The Film The Lion King
My partner and I chose the film The Lion King. This Disney animated feature from 1994 follows
the adventures of Simba, a young lion voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas (Home Improvement).
He is joined by his father, Mufasa voiced by the great James Earl Jones (Star Wars) and his
corrupt, uncle Scar who is voiced by one of the all time favorites Jeremy Irons (The Man from
the Iron Mask). Scar wants to be king and overthrow Mufasa and comes up with a plan to lure
Simba and his father into a stampede of wildebeests. Simba escapes, but his father Mufasa is
killed. Simba soon finds himself chased out of his kingdom and paired with two new friends
Timon and Pumbaa. His friends are Timon a meerkat voiced by Nathan Lane (The Producers)
and Pumbaa is a warthog voiced by Ernie Sabella (Mouse Hunt). The story ultimately leads to
Simba, now an adult being voiced by Matthew Broderick (Godzilla), returning to take back his
homeland back from Scar with the help of his friends. Of the characters in the film, we see
Simba and his friend Nala as lion cubs in the start of the film. Simba and Nala are both roughly
six to eight months old, which is roughly ten years old for humans. ( Animal Ages ). Simba, born
into privilege, is being groomed by his father in the beginning on how to rule his future kingdom.

they compare developmentally to the average ten year old. This age would put Simba and Nala in

Oral History By Lee Smith And The Poem, Fishing Among The...
As a child matures, the word lesson can hold two different connotations. One meaning denotes a
traditional portion of a school day dedicated to a specific subject, such as a biology lesson. This
lesson is based on facts that are generally gleaned from a textbook or transmitted by a teacher who
has been certified in some way. Another type of lesson is that which helps the recipient either live
a life of fuller satisfaction or gain some practical knowledgethat can help others, either physically
or emotionally. This type of lesson can be passed along by anyone, regardless of age or training.
However, quite often, one associates this type of knowledge with those who have lived long
enough to absorb such life lessons. The novel, Oral History by Lee Smith and the poem, Fishing
Among the Learned by Nikky Finney take two distinct and separate forms, but each work is
separated into individual sections and focuses on an elderly female character who fulfills the role
of an all knowing sage, relying on nature and rituals to teach younger generations the importance of
a type of knowledge that cannot be learned in an academic setting.
Each of these written texts is broken into distinct sections that represent either a certain type of
knowledge or a specific character relying knowledge. Finishing Among the Learned is comprised of
three sections. The first references the speaker s childhood and introduces the grandmother who
fulfills the role of teacher in the poem. Finney writes

Asian American Identity Development Model
RCIDM and Multiculturalism
Having knowledge of the Racial/Cultural Identity Development Model will help counselors to
become more culturally competent. Although we know these phases, one must be aware of the
cultures that counselors will be working with and how one s beliefs can hinder the process. The
five stages of the Asian American Identity Development Model, developed by Sue and Sue, are:
The ethnic awareness stage, White identification stage, the awakening to the social political
consciousness stage, redirection stage, and the incorporation stage. Asian Americans prefer crisis
oriented, brief, and solution oriented approaches, and they are influenced by their families and
culture. The fear of losing face to their peers by seeking therapy will lead them to early termination
of therapy. Asian cultures are typically high context cultures in which gesture, body language, eye
contact, pitch, intonation, word stress, and the use of silence are as important as the actual words
being spoken in conversation. Asians are typically polite in social encounters whereas Americans,
being very low context communicators, are comfortable with very direct questions and answers and
often seem abrupt to people from high context cultures. The five stages of the Black Identity
Development Model, originally developed by Cross, are: The pre encounter stage, encounter stage,
immersion emersion, internalization, and internalization commitment. African Americans will

Moreover, a Haier Brothers cartoon series featuring the two brothers became one of the most
popular programs on TV among Chinese kids who were born in the end of last century (Wang,

minds, but also became a mean of promoting Haier s organizational culture: Altruism, by endowing
Haier brothers great spirits of giving, comprehension, and never stop seeking for knowledge (Wang,
2008).
The success of the cartoon series can be transferred to foreign market as well. By introducing its
own mascot to the foreign consumers in any of its sales campaigns and promotion events, or even
make it the theme in Haier s retailor store, Haier would be able to amplify its brand image and be

after the acquisition, Whirlpool surpassed Electrolux to become the world s largest home

The Common Archetypes In Ethan Frome, By Edith Wharton
The well known narrative, Ethan Frome, is often described as similar to many classic fairy tales.
Resembling most fairy tales, not only is the plot of Ethan Frome is kept simple and
straightforward, but the novel also contains a number of common archetypes often found in fairy
tales, such as a wicked witch and princess. The book s plot, however, reflects a close affinity to the
original fairy tale, Snow White. The novel, Ethan Frome, by Edith Wharton easily compares to
many classic fairy tales, especially Snow White.
One of the common archetypes found in Snow White, is the evil stepmother/witch. This role fits

School Uniforms Policy Analysis
Local school districts, the state, individual schools, and the state have mutual interest embedded
into the decision of adopting a uniform policy. As a result, school uniforms can be mandatory in
some schools while in others remain voluntary. The wearing of a school uniform implies that all
students in the school are required to wear clothing that matches in color, length, and design. There
have been arguments put across against the wearing of uniformsin schools. The primary argument
against implementation of school uniforms policy is that it is an infringement of the first
amendment Rights of the USA constitution (DeMitchell Fossey, 2015).
The breach comes about when students are not able to express their personality through the dressing.

Peer pressure is human nature that has limited control. Both the advertising and the fashion
industries, along with the other instruments of the media in our way of life, impacts to the peer
pressure we go through (Roman Taylor, 2013). The students do feel not only the pressure to
conform but also the parents and the teachers in general. Students are under the pressure to wear the
so called fresh outfits so that they can ultimately fit in with their peers. Making a fashion statement
is the medium to be accepted and liked amongst an individual s peers (Sanchez et al., 2012). As a
result, students impact the pressure to their parents in their efforts to have cool clothes that will
enable them to fit in with their peers. Parents thus find themselves in a situation of purchasing
attires that meet the peer s requirement despite the fact that they are also subject to go out of style.
School uniforms will thus give students and parents another useful weapon in their war against
social pressures and thus enable students to lay less prominence on trendy clothes and more
emphasis on affecting their education. For some students, more so girls, uniforms will give them
more time to sleep or do something constructive in the morning rather than deciding what trendy
outfit to wear (Sanchez et al., 2012). It is conclusive that uniforms promote a relevant law that
people should be judged by their character and not their

progressive motility using preoperative clinical, laboratory and radiological data and to propose
cut off values for significant parameters. Methods: This prospective study was carried out between
July 2011 and June 2014. We included 123 patients in our study. They were diagnosed with primary
infertility with varicocele, were scheduled for varicocelectomy, and completed their follow up. We
excluded patients with azoospermia, total necrospermia, recurrent varicocele, and pituitary
hormonal abnormalities. Varicocele was diagnosed and graded by physical examination and colour

Type 2 DM constitutes more than 95% of all adults with diabetes mellitus. India is one of the
centres of the global diabetes mellitus epidemic and has the second highest number of people with
the disease in the world (~69 million individuals as of 2015)(36)
Diabetes Mellitus is diagnosed using the American diabetes Association ADA criteria(37) (38).
The established glucose criteria for the diagnosis of diabetes that include the FPG ( 126 mg/dl)
and two hour plasma glucose 200mg/dl during an OGTT is still valid. Additionally, patients with
classic symptoms of hyperglycemia or hyperglycemic crisis can be diagnosed when a random
plasma glucose is ≥200 mg/dL (11.1 mmol/L). HbA1C, which relects the glycemic status of 2 3
months has been recommended for the diagnosis of DM with a threshold of 6.5%.
Long term complications of diabetes include microvascular and macrovascular complications(39).
These complications are mainly attributed to the duration of disease and overall glycemic control.
Micro vascular complications include retinopathy with potential loss of vision; nephropathy leading
to renal failure; peripheral neuropathy with risk of foot ulcers, amputations, and Charcot joints; and
autonomic neuropathy causing gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and cardiovascular symptoms and

The prohibition era was the period in the US when the manufacture, sale and transportation of
liquor were banned. To completely eliminate alcohol from society was always going to be an
impossible task due to the limited amounts of prohibition officers and the easy manner in which
illegal alcohol could be made and old, so in that aspect of its ambition it failed. However it was
able to reduce alcoholism, and as a result of prohibition fewer arrests for drunkenness were
recorded. With those thoughts in mind, it is important to remember that whist some positives came
from Prohibition, the negatives that came from the policy were far greater and more significant, so
therefore it becomes nigh on impossible to call it a success. The... Show more content on

The government and federal enforcement also experienced moderate success in the attempt to
uphold the laws of prohibition, with agents such as Izzy Einstein and Moe Smith making over
4000 arrests and seizing over 15m dollars worth of illegal liquor. With the only access to alcohol
being through gangster organisations and speakeasies, many people turned to soft drinks as a
new social drink. Consequently this lead to a boom in the soft drink industry with companies In
an alternative aspect, there were several reasons as to why the success of Prohibition was limited.
Firstly, there were huge logistical problems to the policy, with America having 18,700 miles of
coastline and land border. This meant that bootlegging became a big issue with 215m dollars worth
of alcohol being transported across the land border between Detroit and Canada, and thus
ultimately the supply of alcohol coming into the country was never restricted and so the American
public still had access to a plentiful supply of alcohol. The fact that before prohibition Washington
DC had 300 bars, but by the mid 1920s it had over 700 speakeasies, substantiates the point that
alcohol supply actually increased during prohibition. The same

Thus, the challenge for all organizations today is to develop systems and/or strategies that will
enable them to become even more innovative around the issues of creativity, change and
innovation. How well they do this will determine how well and how far the organization evolves
in the future. What are innovation, change and creativity? Wikipedia simple definition of
innovation is to renew or change. The Shorter Oxford Dictionary (cited in Hayes, 2002) defines
change as the substitution or succession of one thing in place of another. Von Stamm (2008, p.
1) posits that creativity and innovation are [often] used interchangeably. Von Stamm (2008 p. 2)
goes on further to say that creativity is an essential part of innovation. Innovation has been
described by Boak citing West et al (2003, p17) as the introduction of new and improved ways of
doing things at work and the process of applying ideas, processes, products, or procedures, which
are new to the people and places where you are introducing them (Boak 2010). Adair (2007, p. x)
ups the ante when he states that innovation calls for a special form of creativity. Adair (2009, p.
17) states to innovate means . . . to bring in or introduce something new. Adair (2007, p .x) points
out that innovation is the key to winning and keeping leadership in world markets. Von Stamm
(2008, p. xi) posits innovation, creativity and design are . . . amongst the most frequently used

In this paper, PVA AgNO3 films were prepared by casting method. Then irradiated with different
gamma doses (25, 50, 75, 100, 125 KGy). UV visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope,
EDX and photoluminescence spectroscope were used to characterize the prepared films. UV
visible absorption spectra showed a peak at 200 nm for PVA. And a peak at 427 nm for the
surface plasmon resonance of silver nanoparticles. This peak increases with gamma doses until
125 KGy, its decrease for front surface. And increase continuously with gamma doses on the

whether his success was just based on his connections or because of his actual talent and special
writing quirks that made him stand out as a writer. His work proved to be very popular due to
his unique take on life and his whiplash endings that left the readers asking why(Encyclopedia
of World Biography, Guy de Maupassant). The majority of his stories were categorized into
sections, the Franco Prussian War, the Norman peasantry, the bureaucracy, life on the banks of
the Seine, the emotional problems of the different classes. All of his stories were based on what
he had experienced, and these things had happened to him in one way or another. His writing was
also considered to be put in the genre of naturalism. Naturalism is a style of writing based on an

Zaccheus and the Sycamore Tree
This past Sunday I attend my church here in Pasadena California at Saint Anthony s Greek

The Importance Of Cochlear Implants
Before the panel discussion, I never took the time to think about how much time and consideration
a parent must go through when deciding whether or not they should implant their child with
cochlear implants. After watching Sound and Fury, I learned the importance of the Deaf
community and their culture and that cochlear implants are not always seen as a good thing.
Hearing from the perspective of our guests, and seeing this decision from the eyes of audiologists
/teachers of the Deaf, I see that cochlear implantation is anything but an easy decision.
Since advancements in technology and evolution of the cochlear implant since its first debut, our
guest really opened my eyes to how much harder of a choice this has become for parents of Deaf

engineering.
As technology is increasing on a rapid scale there is much need for the different software
development approaches to be modified and enhanced in order to face the present customer
requirements and blooming Technology market. Believers of the old approach of software
development finds its best in developing with planning, reusability, predictability that helps to
develop a perfect software product. On the other hand trending designers likes another model of
software development that is Agile Methods, both the plan driven approach and the agile
methodology has their own pros and cons. If combined and developed a good end product can ...

XP is one of the agile methods which is defined as Extreme Programming, many new developers
and designers are tending to follow these methodologies than the age old techniques. But managers
who are accustomed to the traditional way of software development are finding it difficult in
accepting these new approaches. Furthermore the plan driven approach also has many underlying
advantages such as focusing on the major goals of the project which is named as major milestone
on the contrary to micro milestones or inch pebbles . In the plan driven approach more planning is
emphasized which pressurize the development teams to follow the pre specified documentation
even at the minor levels of modification at technology, commercial and personal aspects. The author
of the article suggests that there should be at least three milestones in the software development
process. Firstly for the progress of the project in order to know the current status of the project.
Secondly for the stakeholder s checkpoint i.e. to check the progress on the development process
form the stakeholders point of view whether the commitment given to them is fulfilled or not. The
planning spectrum demonstrates the models on straight line where the unplanned hacking is on the
left of the spectrum and the inch pebble in on the extreme right.
Now after brief discussion of the different approaches the author tries to explain the advantages and
disadvantaged of both

Essay on Unraveling the Mystery of William Shakespeare
Consequences. They come in shapes of dark evil and unimaginable good. However with each
consequence, in turn a rebirth . A new perspective. A new insight. The creation of a profound poet
and playwright, William Shakespeare, was one of the many marvelous consequences of the
Renaissance. In fact his outstanding work was the direct result of the Renaissance. In order to
understand how Shakespeare came to be, there is first a need to understand exactly what the
Renaissance was. The original Italian word, Rinascimento , means rebirth (Jonah Wilberg). This
refers of course to the rebirth of learning. The Renaissance was a cultural movement that spread all
over Europe and was considered the division between the Middle Agesand the Modern... Show

(Jordan M. Ahn). These thinkers were also known as humanists . They believed that rather than
being subject to God, man should be subject to study. Investigations in writings of ancient Greece
and Rome, astronomy, anatomy, science, and much more began to blossom from the depths of the
human psyche (Fabio Castellan). Feelings and emotions were key to illustrating humanism and in
turn became the heart of modern literature.
Shakespeare himself indicated little interest in or support of religious supernaturalism. The absence
of religion in Shakespeare, England s greatest poet, chose to leave his heroes and himself in the
presence of life and death with no more philosophy than that which the profane world can suggest
and understand, namely a species of Humanism. (George Santaya) This quote emphasizes how
Humanist views helped to establish Shakespeare s literature.
Without doubt William Shakespeare harnessed this new emotional realism in human nature and
incorporated it in a way that set him apart from other artists of the 16th century. No one matched
him in terms of variety, profundity, and exquisite use of language (Note: come back and site!!).
Since he became active during the late 16th, early 17th century, which is the time the English
Renaissance was at its peak, it is not surprising that some of the most important aspects of his work
can be seen as characteristics of the Renaissance era (Jonah

The Reliability Of Polls
With the 2016 Presidential Election approaching pollsters have been conducting several polls.
The poll industry has recently made two high profile mistakes the 2014 election and a mishap
involving 2016 presidential candidates Clinton and Sanders. Even the most prestigious polling
companies predicted the wrong outcomes. This has led to a nationwide discussion about the
reliability of polls. The reliability of polls has been on a downward spiral for years. Polls have
become far less reliable due to an increase in cellphones, internet based polls, annoying
telemarketers, and the technique of weighting polls. The first mobile telephone call was made in
1973. The phone weighed over a pound and the device was quite expensive. Having a cellphone

With concave mirrors, the reflection would appear to be out in front of a mirror, thus, producing a three dimensional optical illusion. After these findings, Thomas believed that this method could be used in a more accurate representation of video data. She not only viewed this as a potential breakthrough for commercial television, but also an opportunity for NASA and its image delivery system. After a year of working with her process, Thomas applied for a patent on December 28, 1978, and the patent was issued on October 21, 1980. This innovation was like the method of holographic generation of picture recording which utilizes rational radiation and utilizes front wave recreation systems. Explanatory mirrors can render these optical figments with the utilization of an inward reflect close to the subject and a second curved reflect at a remote site. In the depiction of her patent, the procedure was clarified: Optical illusions may be produced by parabolic mirrors wherein such images produced thereby are possessed with three dimensional attributes. • 6. Death s Shocking Truth By Emily Dickinson Death s shocking truth Emily Dickinson wrote two poems I heard a buzz when I died and Because I could not stop for death . In these two poems, Emily Dickinson, describes two very different death experiences. While doing so Dickinson describes what she believes death to be. The poem I Heard a buzz when I died, takes a rough route to death with an even rougher shock. The other poem Because I could not stop for death, takes a gentler route to death with a not so gentle shock. However out of these poems, I heard a buzz when I died, receives the worst shock. This character faces the brutal shock of death without any closure. Tension build up is one reason I heard a buzz when I died, is more shocking. Dickerson does a good job build up to the death. Rather than just dying Dickinson describes vivid revelations prior to death. In the first stanza of I heard a buzz when died, Dickinson describes a room full of stillness. There are people in this room but no movement or sound. The stillness is a representation of the calm before the storm. We can all agree Dickinson is foreshadowing something intense was about to happen. While in the first stanza of I could not stop for death, the naive character is simply picked up and greeted by death himself .This character is spared the negative thoughts of what death feels like. The character has nothing to worry about. She has met death straight on and isn t afraid. According to Frank Bernhard, author of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Current spirometers available in the market are expensive and usually cost over $1,000. Due to this high cost, many physicians practicing in developing countries like India, cannot afford spirometry equipment. As a result, millions of people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, are unable to be effectively monitored or treated for their disease. Thus, the development of a low cost reliable spirometer would allow these physicians to assess their patient s pulmonary health. All these factors led to the development of a product which addresses cost issues as well as technical accuracy[1] . A computer based miniaturized spirometer system is Designed to be realized which would use a solid state pressure sensor. A proto type of a Computer based Spirometer system has been realized which would employ a solid state single port pressure sensor. A dedicated analog signal acquisition and processing channel has been designed and tested along with the solid state pressure sensor. Propaganda is a type of advertisement that shows how good or how much better a product is that anything else in that department. Advertisers lean heavily on propaganda to sell products, whether the products are a brand of toothpaste, a candidate for office, or a particular political viewpoint. (The Longman Writer McClintock s Essay Pg. 232). There are seven main types of propaganda, Name Calling, Glittering Generalities, Transfer, Testimonial, Plain Folks, Card Stacking, and Bandwagon. Since its first use, most people when they hear propaganda, think only about political ads but that is not all that propaganda is used for. Although propaganda may seem relevant only in the political arena, the concept can be applied fruitfully to the way products and ideas are sold in advertising. (The Longman Writer McClintock s Essay Pg. 232) Two very good examples of using propaganda techniques are a State Farm commercial, and a Farmers advertisement. The State Farm ad is a beautifully done, two minute long commercial that is meant to pull on the heart string of the watcher with a technique such as Plain Folks. So the one Asian guy in Star Wars disintegrates on an Imperial Starship. Just like how Asians are stereotyped daily on their driving. Apparently there is some belief in Hollywood that Asian leads just will not be understood by American public. For example, the movie 21. The movie is based on a true story about a group of MIT students led by John Chang and focusing on player Jeff Ma. They used card counting to win a fortune in blackjack. Yet Hollywood finds it boring. No one would want to watch two Asians playing blackjack. Why not make the cast almost all white and add sex and drinking? And that is what they literally did. • 16. Famous Speeches Of The Great Awakening Jessica Gebert Famous Speeches Final Paper The first known recordings of eulogistic discourse emerged from the ancient Greek tradition, where the funeral speech developed out of the formal laudation or commemoration of those who had fallen in battle for their country. Some of the best examples of this type of eulogistic rhetoric include Cicero s de Orator and Pericles Funeral oration. Stylistically the structure of these orations typically concentrated heavily on the mourning of the deceased and then transitioned into the celebration of their life. (Kent, 2007). While the traditional Greek structure lasted many decades, as early as the 1700 s a shift in style of funeral orations began to emerge. Many attribute this stylistic change to the Great Awakening as new Protestant sects began incorporating more expressive and ceremonial approaches to their memorials. As funerals became increasingly extravagant spectacles, funeral sermons began to incorporate biography, praise, and emotional expression developments that laid a foundation for the popularization of the eulogy genre. (Henderson, 2011) In Owen Peterson s volume of Representative American Speeches, he notes, A eulogy has two distinctive characteristics which sets it apart from most other forms of public address: (1) it is meant to be delivered at a ceremonial occasion to honor the subject; and (2) it is designed to be heard by an audience that already shares the speaker s respect, affection, or admiration for ... Based on the IEEE802.11p, all mobiles involved in the Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) are synchronised and will switch from Service Channel (SCH) to Control Channel (CCH) every sync period as depicted in Fig.1. A sync period is 100 ms which correspond to a switching frequency of 10 Hz. Because CAMs/BSMs and DENMs are broadcasted and exchanged during the CCH time interval, therefore, in the proposed algorithm, Trmax = 10 and Trmin= 1. If all nodes are synchronized to transmit at specific period of time (CCH interval); if the channel bandwidth is large enough, then each node will receive a message copy of its neighbours. In our model, the choice of minimum CBR (CBRMin) is any value smaller than CBRMax while the average CBR (CBRAv) is comprised between the minimum and the maximum. The transmission delay (T0) is initialised at one second and the rate or frequency is initialised at 10 Hz. The algorithm begins at full rate when the CBR is less than CBRMin. When the CBR becomes greater than the CBRMin and less than the CBRMax, the rate is adjusted as a function of T0, О» and О±. When the CBR becomes greater than CBRMax, the rate is decreased by increasing T0 until the CBRAv is achieved and T0 is equal to 1 or less. In general, the idea consists of computing the differential CBR (О», О»1), the transmission delay T0 as well as the coefficient О± to adjust the broadcasting delay as a function of a preset CBRMax. The IDBSMA concept is build upon the DBSMA while taking into consideration the preset CBRMax. For clarification, the flow diagram of the proposed algorithm is depicted in Fig.2. The status is worrying considering that the taxpayers and the citizens normally provide the state security. The concept of black citizenship is demonstrated by the Berlin wall concept, an allegory of racial apartheid in Bahia. Apartheid and the wall have similar roles in that apartheid enforces separation between races, which mostly applies to the invidious structure and racial inequality. Another type of lesson is that which helps the recipient either live a life of fuller satisfaction or gain some practical knowledgethat can help others, either physically or emotionally. This type of lesson can be passed along by anyone, regardless of age or training. However, quite often, one associates this type of knowledge with those who have lived long enough to absorb such life lessons. To completely eliminate alcohol from society was always going to be an impossible task due to the limited amounts of prohibition officers and the easy manner in which illegal alcohol could be made and old, so in that aspect of its ambition it failed. However it was able to reduce alcoholism, and as a result of prohibition fewer arrests for drunkenness were recorded. Consequently this lead to a boom in the soft drink industry with companies In an alternative aspect, there were several reasons as to why the success of Prohibition was limited. Firstly, there were huge logistical problems to the policy, with America having 18,700 miles of coastline and land border. This meant that bootlegging became a big issue with 215m dollars worth of alcohol being transported across the land border between Detroit and Canada, and thus ultimately the supply of alcohol coming into the country was never restricted and so the American public still had access to a plentiful supply of alcohol. How well they do this will determine how well and how far the organization evolves in the future. What are innovation, change and creativity? Wikipedia simple definition of innovation is to renew or change. The Shorter Oxford Dictionary (cited in Hayes, 2002) defines change as the substitution or succession of one thing in place of another. Von Stamm (2008, p. 1) posits that creativity and innovation are [often] used interchangeably. Von Stamm (2008 p. 2) goes on further to say that creativity is an essential part of innovation. Innovation has been described by Boak citing West et al (2003, p17) as the introduction of new and improved ways of doing things at work and the process of applying ideas, processes, products, or procedures, which are new to the people and places where you are introducing them (Boak 2010). Adair (2007, p. x) ups the ante when he states that innovation calls for a special form of creativity. Adair (2009, p. 17) states to innovate means . . . to bring in or introduce something new. Adair (2007, p .x) points out that innovation is the key to winning and keeping leadership in world markets. • 39. Optical, Morphological And Photoluminescence Spectroscopic... Optical, morphological and photoluminescence spectroscopic studies of PVA/AgNO3films after Оі irradiation xxxxxxxxx Abstract In this paper, PVA AgNO3 films were prepared by casting method. Then irradiated with different gamma doses (25, 50, 75, 100, 125 KGy). UV visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, EDX and photoluminescence spectroscope were used to characterize the prepared films. UV visible absorption spectra showed a peak at 200 nm for PVA. And a peak at 427 nm for the surface plasmon resonance of silver nanoparticles. This peak increases with gamma doses until 125 KGy, its decrease for front surface. And increase continuously with gamma doses on the back surface. SEM images and EDX spectra showed that the silver appear on the front surface as silver atoms, and with increasing the gamma doses is disappeared and then appear at the back surface at the highest doses (125 KGy) as a nanorods.. While PL intensity decrease for front surface and increase for back surface as the Оі doses is increased. Keywords: UV Vis spectroscopy, SEM, EDX, PL spectroscopy. 1 Introduction. Preparation, characterization, and physical properties of a nanostructure materials of silver (nanoparticles and nanocomposites) have been the subject of various researcher in many scientific laboratories during the past years for many studies and it has been also established that size, stability, color, shape, and properties ... In the plan driven approach more planning is emphasized which pressurize the development teams to follow the pre specified documentation even at the minor levels of modification at technology, commercial and personal aspects. The author of the article suggests that there should be at least three milestones in the software development process. Firstly for the progress of the project in order to know the current status of the project. Secondly for the stakeholder s checkpoint i.e. to check the progress on the development process form the stakeholders point of view whether the commitment given to them is fulfilled or not. Investigations in writings of ancient Greece and Rome, astronomy, anatomy, science, and much more began to blossom from the depths of the human psyche (Fabio Castellan). Feelings and emotions were key to illustrating humanism and in turn became the heart of modern literature. Shakespeare himself indicated little interest in or support of religious supernaturalism. The absence of religion in Shakespeare, England s greatest poet, chose to leave his heroes and himself in the presence of life and death with no more philosophy than that which the profane world can suggest and understand, namely a species of Humanism. (George Santaya) This quote emphasizes how Humanist views helped to establish Shakespeare s literature. Without doubt William Shakespeare harnessed this new emotional realism in human nature and incorporated it in a way that set him apart from other artists of the 16th century. No one matched him in terms of variety, profundity, and exquisite use of language (Note: come back and site!!). Since he became active during the late 16th, early 17th century, which is the time the English Renaissance was at its peak, it is not surprising that some of the most important aspects of his work can be seen as characteristics of the Renaissance era (Jonah ...
