This document discusses the effectiveness of ICT in promoting teacher education and career development in Africa. It outlines the objectives of exploring how ICT benefits educational institutions and enhances educators' performance. While recognizing ICT's proven benefits, it notes that many African states like Uganda have not fully invested in ICT infrastructure for education. The methodology involved analyzing policy documents and internet searches of institutions. Key results found that ICT access ensured quality teaching and learning through capacity building and collaboration. It concludes that effective ICT deployment is imperative for modern institutions and recommends a five-level model for evaluating ICT use in classrooms from familiarization to evolution.
