This document discusses the roles of teachers and students in language learning with integrated information and communication technology (ICT). [1] It provides lessons for teachers, such as facilitating more independent and self-directed learner activities, enabling continual content updates, and freeing learning from traditional classroom constraints. [2] It also discusses lessons for students and how to successfully integrate ICT in language learning. [3] Finally, it examines the new roles of teachers as facilitators, guides, designers of complex learning scenarios, and evaluators in the ICT-enabled learning environment.
