 Pollution is the injection of harmful substances into the environment.
 Pollution harms human life, life of other species, and also damages historical monuments of the
country.
 Business activities such as production, distribution, transport, storage and consumption of goods and
services are known to be the most critical sources of environmental pollution problems.
 Many business enterprises have been responsible for causing air, water, land and noise pollution.
 Air pollution is caused due to smoke, chemical emitted by factories, vehicle etc.
 Air pollution has resulted in ozone depletion, which leads to climate change and global warming.
 Water pollution is caused due to chemicals and waste dumping into the rivers, streams and lakes.
 Water pollution lead to the death of several animals and poised a serious problem of human life.
 Land pollution is caused due to the dumping of garbage and toxic wastes which affect the fertility of
land and make it unfit for agriculture.
 Noise made by machines, vehicles, etc leads to noise pollution.
