This document discusses a seminar on using information and communication technology (ICT) for assessment. It begins with an introduction stating that ICT is used not only for teaching but also for assessing student achievement and reporting results. The next sections define assessment, describe different types of assessment including formative, summative, diagnostic, authentic and performance. The final section discusses the role of ICT in assessment, including computer-aided assessment using tools like optical mark readers; and computer-based assessment using e-learning modules and standalone online tests taken on devices.
