This document proposes purchasing 30 iPads for the academic year to be kept in a cart and used by teachers and students. The iPads would replace laptops and allow for touchscreen interaction, portable usage, and access to a gazillion educational apps. They could be used for listening, speaking, reading, writing, culture, literature, linguistics research, and teaching kids with significant benefits seen in language arts after a 1 to 1 iPad program in Maine schools.
