Apple was founded in 1976 and released the Apple I computer. Their mobile operating system iOS was originally designed for the iPhone in 2007 and has since expanded to support additional Apple devices. iOS is programmed in C, C++, and Objective-C and is updated regularly with new features and functionality. It utilizes a layered architecture including the Core OS layer, Core Services layer, Media layer, and Cocoa Touch layer.
