The given case is mostly conversation
between a plant manager and an author
who teaches OB (Organizational Behavior).
The inquisitive author is Interested to
know about the decision making process in
the Plant.
So the author goes to the factory and
pays a visit to the Manager and some of his
employees.

No, Raghunath didn’t evade his
responsibilities as a plant manager.
He had an unique subordinate
empowerment model that allowed
positive criticism among the
subordinates.
He was always present at the weekly
employee/ staff meeting and reported
the happenings of the meeting to the
headquarters on regular basis.

Yes, each of us would definitely like to
work for Mr. Raghunath. The mean
reasons are:
Flexibility to work according to the
requirements as long as it is beneficial
to the organization.
Zero interference in the Decision
making process from Mr. Raghunath
except some positive criticism from
other subordinate collegues.

Yes, we would like to have Raghunath as a subordinate. The Reasons are:
As he had made the subordinate empowerment model, he would rightly
criticize other subordinates in case any wrong decision is being taken and
make sure the right decision is taken for the betterment of the company
As a subordinate he can perform better considering his valuable experience
in the plant.
