Management in all business and organizational activities is the act of getting people together to
accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively.
Management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an
organization(agroupof one or more people orentities) oreffortforthe purpose of accomplishing a

2 Discuss the John Fisher’s Model of Personal Change
Answer:John Fisher'smodel of personal change - The Transition Curve - is an excellent analysis of
how individuals deal with personal change. This model is an extremely useful reference for
individuals dealing with personal change and for managers and organizations helping staff to deal
with personal change.

Decision-making is an essential aspect of modern management. It is a primary function of
management. A manager's major job is sound/rational decision-making. He takes hundreds of
decisions consciously and subconsciously. Decision-making is the key part of manager's activities.

5 Discuss the qualities required to become an effective leader.

1.A good leaderhasan exemplary character. It is of utmost importance that a leader is trustworthy
to lead others. A leader needs to be trusted and be known to live their life with honestly and
integrity. A good leader “walks the talk” and in doing so earns the right to have responsibility for
others.True authorityisborn fromrespectforthe good character and trustworthinessof the person
who leads.
