Hydropalat® WE 3650 is a solvent-free, highly effective, low foaming substrate wetting agent for water-based printing inks and coatings. It is a modified alkoxylate that provides excellent substrate wetting and low dynamic surface tension while also stabilizing foam. Performance tests showed it had comparable or better results than other wetting agents in reducing surface tension, improving wetting, and decreasing foam in various ink and coating formulations. Hydropalat® WE 3650 can replace multiple conventional wetting agents and provides benefits such as being solvent-free, APEO-free, and having low odor. It is suitable for applications such as corrugated packaging, industrial printing, and flexible

For fast application methods as printing or spraying high mobility towards
this interface is required for substrate wetting agents to be effective.
A good indication of the mobility and the effect of a substrate wetting
agent is given by the dynamic surface tension.
