Structural Punched Metal Studs or Joists
– the Key to the Technology
• The Bi-Directional Shear Tabs
bond to the concrete
• Composite Walls or Floors are
fabricated utilizing bonded
Concrete & Steel
• Synergy of the Composite
exceeds the performance of the
individual components by 65%
Engineered Composite HTT Floor System
Stronger than Deck & Joist Assemblies
• HTT Composite Bonded
Floor Joist and Concrete
provides 65% greater
structural efficiencies at
24” o.c. spacing
• HTT Floor Joists take
advantage of the concrete
to add strength to its
members rather than just
being dead load to non-
composite joists or
trusses @ closer spacing
• 65% increase for HTT
Floors in Strength &
Stiffness as compared to
non-composite floor
systems
4 Story Apartments Rendering

This site is very tight with boundaries or existing structures on all 4 sides.
HTT Floor Framing & Forming
• HTT Exterior Structural Walls
• HTT Floor Joists w/ Shear Tabs
• Plywood Forms between Joists
• Floor Joists @ 24” o.c.
• Long structural spans

Concrete Pumping & Finishing - HTT
Finishing of the Structural
Slab is similar to any other
slab. Large areas can be
easily finished with troweling
machines.
HTT Floor System uses 6-7”
slump concrete, typically
pumped from a grout pump
to eliminate heavy excesses
and better flow control with
less men.
Floor Joist spans should be
shored at mid-point until the
concrete pour is placed and
cured. Once the concrete is
cured the composite
performance is completed
and shoring can be removed.
HTT Exterior Load Bearing Walls &
Upper HTT Floor System Pour
Typically, HTT Floor System is
connected to & supported by HTT Wall
System via structural track and clips.
These connections are engineered
with the floor system, wall system and
overall building structure.
Edge blocking at floor section
sides.
The HTT Floor Joist System
offers longer spans with
smaller joists at 24” centers.
Concrete floor exposed after
plywood form removal.
Piping and electrical rough-ins
prior to ceiling installation.
HTT Cantilevered Balconies
6 foot deep
Cantilevered
HTT Balconies
Cantilevered from
the HTT floor joist
structure, the 6 ft
deep balconies
offer more luxury
space to apartment
life that is
frequently omitted
due to structural
costs and
impracticalities.
Competing
structural systems
require masonry or
steel columns to
adequately support
such balconies.
Offerings are often
4 feet or less in
depth which are
nearly unusable.
Spacious Balconies w/ cantilevered openness
HTT 3rd & 4th Story Panels erected and braced
to 3rd Story HTT Floor System
Here you see a large 2
Story Flag shaped HTT
panel erection, stacking on
top of a 2 Story HTT panel.
As with the other 3rd & 4th
story wall panels, these are
braced to the composite
HTT Floor System on the
3rd Floor. These panels are
welded or bolted to the
floor structure also. Once
the upper floor framing is
installed and connected,
the braces can be
removed.
Combined with interior
load bearing walls or
frame, this concept allows
faster mid-rise envelope
construction.
Unique Components from HTT Framing
Extended Balcony joists cantilever 6 feet; Stair landings are framed and poured in HTT
floor joist system and support prefabbed metal stairs
Piping & Insulation in HTT Walls
• Electrical Conduits
• Plumbing Risers
• Communications Cabling & Conduit
• Blocking for Hardware
• Blocking for Accessories
• Insulation Materials – many options
• R-Values from R-13 to R-26 or >
• Interior Finish – many options
• Fire Rated Panels – 1 hr - 4 hr ratings
Window Details in HTT Walls
Flush mounting finless
windows are shimmed
and anchored in place
with ¼” perimeter
sealant joint.
Position and recess are
determined by the wall
depth and the concrete
return on head, jambs
and sill.
Enduring Structures – 100 year Buildings
with Low Maintenance and Long Term Benefits from Hi-Tech Tilt
Systems
• Improved Fire Safety
• Higher Strength Buildings
• Vertical and Horizontal Bonded Shear Planes with HTT Walls and Floors
• Rigidity and Stiffness from Composite Bonded Floors
• High Wind and Storm Resistance
• Higher STC Ratings
• Reduced Long Term Maintenance Costs
• Resistance to or Elimination of Mold, Rot and Termite Damage
• Higher Insulation and R-Values available compared to other designs
• Quality Enduring Structures that are faster to build
