STABILITY INSPECTIONS GUIDANCE RULES STOWAGE EPIRB
All small fishing vessels
of under 15m are
provided with stability
information.
Ensure that the
inspections of vessels
against the Seafish
Construction Standards
are consistently robust
and thorough.
Collectively explore ways
to encourage owners of
fishing vessels of under
15m LOA operate in
accordance with the
stability guidance.
Enforce rules and
regulations regarding
the safety of vessel and
its crews. E.g.. wearing
lifejackets.
Proper stowage of life
raft to have a clear
route to the sea surface
in the event of capsize.
Has a float-free EPIRB
being carried on the
open deck to notify
coastguard that vessel
had sunk.
