HR Microservices is an approach to organizing HR systems using components based on a standard. It brings together contributors to component-based HR systems and their products/services. At the core is a standard that defines the data platform architecture. The standard was first published in 2005 and is used by various products including a catalog structure, code catalog, and a prototype HR system called the HCM Mashup Builder built on the Force.com platform. HR Microservices provides services around catalogs, applications, configurations, metadata, and code to help build HR component solutions.
