Carmen Frazer - Creative Director
Carmen is equipped with 25 years of experience in the graphic design industry. Highly
professional, self-motivated and confident, she is a master of conceptualization and
out-of-the-box thinking. Her excellent interpersonal skills enable her to brainstorm with clients
and effectively manage her teams, motivating them to boost their efforts and strive for
professional excellence.
Creative zest and an eye for detail led to her nomination for LEGENDS,The Media24 Excellence
Awards in the Graphic Artist category.

HQD was originally founded in
Johannesburg in 1997 by Carmen
Frazer, running successfully for over
8 years. Relocating to Cape Town in
2006 with her new husband and
young family, Carmen opted for the
immediate stability of a permanent
position at Media24 and later Tray
International.
During this 7 year period her skills
expanded to a point where she was
promoted first to Senior Designer
and then to Head of Design, leading
a team of designers in a fast-paced
environment to produce marketing
material for 150 branches around
the globe.
With this arsenal of skill and
newfound confidence, the
opportunity to re-launch HQD
presented itself at the end of 2014.
Simoné Streck - Content & Communication Coordinator
Armed with a degree majoring in Linguistics and English Literature, Simoné is a wordsmith
constantly looking for an opportunity to flex her creative muscles. Her freelancing career began
while in the throes of completing her studies, as a means of breaking into the industry at an
early age. Her ability to combine professionalism, accuracy, and imaginative wording leads to
content that is both authoritative and engaging.
Her work has been featured in digital magazines and she is currently working towards the
publishing of her first lengthy manuscript.

7. Down to Brass Tacks Cost structure

Artwork & Designs
All projects are quoted on a “per job” basis.
Estimates
Project costs are estimated after receiving a full and detailed brief from the client. Quotes are based on hourly rates and commencement of studio work will
begin once approved.
Print Management
Printing quotes will only be acquired from reputable printers. Once clients approve artwork for printing, HQD is not liable for any errors.All printwork is subject to
a management fee.
Amendments
Clients are entitled to unlimited amendments per design job, bearing in mind all changes to be charged at our hourly rate.
A maximum of 3 content additions may be made on any final draft of a writing job. Grammar/style requests to be discussed during the drafting and editing
processes.
Payment Terms
A 50% deposit is required before the commencement of studio work.The remaining balance is to be paid upon receipt of completed projects with a 7-day
extension for recurring clients.
Call-Out Charges
Travel expenses will be charged at an additional cost.
Stock Images
Fees for images will be supplied on request and will depend on the supplier’s predetermined usage policies.
Delivery
Courier charges are applicable when necessary.
