Grey s Anatomy is a drama medical show that has been airing on TV since 2005.
The show is based on the surgical unit of Seattle Grace Hospital. Throughout the
show, we have seen characters evolve from interns to residents to fellows and to

shaming, taunting, coercing, or guilting an individual to do the act or deed for an
attempt to fit in or to be accepted in to the group. This is not limited to small social
circles but of the societal behaviors of the community. If it is socially acceptable to
perform an act or action, that others from a different location deemed unacceptable,
then why the populace care if they themselves see the act or action as normal.

Are all of the different types of national anthem protest in the NFL equally effective
at protesting racial injustices in the US, or are they all just being disrespectful to the
flag and the country? There are many ways players and teams are protesting the
National Anthem in the NFL today. The Seattle Seahawks locked arms and stood, the
Pittsburgh Steelersdidn t even come onto the field, and the Arizona Cardinals were
allowed to do whatever they felt was right. All of these teams claimed that they were
demonstrating unity and standing up for racial equality. The most effective way was
demonstrated by the Seahawks because they displayed their stance on racial
injustices in the most professional way. And while it is clear that these protests have
made an uproar in the NFL community, it is not clear on how effective all the
different types of protests are.
This is not the first time professional athletes have protested racial injustices in front
of the entire nation to see. During the 1968 Olympics runners Tommie Smith and
John Carlos held a fist in the air while wearing beads and cloth for shoes to protest
the lynching and poverty of African Americans. And in 1996, Mahmoud Abdul
Rauf, a point guard in the NBA, was suspended a game for sitting during the
National Anthem. His reason for sitting was that it was against his religion. He was
scrutinized for this and after his contract was up he never played in the NBA again,

Anthem by Ayn Rand is a science fiction novel about the having the strength and

feeling everyone is strange. Equality starts to do things different and rebels against

that there is more to life and he gets his own mind to thank for himself. Rand s

Our views and behavior depend to some degree on our social location in society our
gender, race, social class, religion, and so forth. (Barkan, 2013). As I have grown up
and my perspective of the world has broadened I have realized how narrow my views
