Working
First the analog signal from the input side is sampled as per the sampling rate as a result of it the
signal is now in the form of discrete signal.so to overcome the aliasing effect we use sampling
frequent which is twice the max frequency of the signal. Quantization process is is used to concert
this discrete signal to binary form after all this step the signal quantize as per the level of the
signal.at the output side decoding of this binary signal take place with maintaining the same level
of quantization in this way we will obtain the original analog signal.
DPCM
Definition
Differential PCM (DPCM) is more compelling then PCM as it figure this distinction and after that
transmit this little contrast motion rather than the whole info input sample. Since the distinction
between input tests is not as much as a whole info sample, the quantity of bits required for
transmission is diminished. As a result it reduces in throughput required to transmit the voice
signals. Utilizing DPCM can lessen the bit rate of any voice transmission down to 48 kbps.
Working and advantage:
The initial segment of DPCM works precisely like PCM so called derived function PCM. The info
sign is sampled at a constant sampling absolute frequency (two times the stimulation frequency).
Then these samples are modulated using the PAM appendage. At this item, the DPCM unconscious
process takes over. The sampled input signaling is stored in what is called

Warren Bennis, a renowned scholar in leadership studies said, Leadership is the capacity to
translate vision into reality. (Bennis, 2014) Widely regarded as one of the greatest Generals in
U.S. military history and one of the most important men of the 20th century, George C. Marshall
was an extraordinary visionary and ethical leader. In this paper I will first, cover how George
Marshall used his understanding of pressures for organizational change to transform the post WWI
United States Army and how his transformational leadership put his vision into action. Next I will
cover how George Marshall was an ethical leader through ethical behavior and how his fair
mindedness helped create and enact the Marshall Plan. Last, I will relate the principle of a
visionary and ethical leader to my personal relevance. George C. Marshall was a strategic
visionary leader and an astute statesman. When Marshall was appointed as the Chief of Staff of
the Army in 1939 he knew that transforming the Army at a time of volatile and uncertain
environment was essential for survival . (Nelson, 1993) The flames of conflict worldwide seemed
about to get out of control. Europe stood on the verge of war. (Nelson, 1993) That same day
Germany invaded Poland and conducted what was known as the blitzkrieg. According to

Special Education And The Civil Rights Movement
Special education is a relatively new concept in education. The question is why? Although, the
Federal Government required all children to attend school since 1918, this did not apply to students
with disabilities. Many state laws gave school districts the ability to deny access to individuals they
deem uneducable. The term uneducable varied from state to state, schoolto school, and even
individual to individual. If students were accepted into the school, they were placed in regular
classrooms with their peers with no support or in classrooms that were not appropriate to meet their
needs. This started to change with the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 1960s. The lawsuit
Brown vs the Board of Educationsued to end segregation of public schools laid the ground work
for Individuals with Disabilities Act. The next major impact in education was the enactment of
Elementary and Secondary Act signed into effect by President Lyndon Johnson in 1965. The
purpose of this law was to provide fair and equal access to education for all, established higher
standards, and mandated funds for professional development, resources for support education
programs, and parent involvement. Under this law, programs like Head Start were created and
celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Despite additional federal funds and mandatory laws,
children with disabilities were unserved or underserved by public school due to loop holes with in
the law. Many more lawsuit followed Brown vs

Anabolic Steroid
Testosterone is used as a basic standard in which all other anabolic steroids are measured. Each
anabolic steroid has its own anabolic and androgenic value. These values significantly explain the
steroid and help determine the possible combination.
Anabolic steroids have anabolic and androgenic effects in humans. The anabolic properties of
anabolic steroids are responsible for the growth of muscles and tissues. The androgen side promotes
masking effects such as deepening of the voice and increasing body and facial hair. The anabolic
effects of steroids are what athletes and bodybuilders seek to avoid androgenic effects.
In the early years of anabolic steroid development, there was no standardized test method for
different steroids or the method of measuring their strength. Hershberger Assay was introduced in
1960 to solve this problem. After administration of the steroid test, various parts of the body and
muscles were analyzed in the rat. Since testosterone was considered the standard for testing, the
tissue would be compared to the tissue exposed to testosterone. Levator is not the muscle in rats
that control the movement of the skin. The muscles were analyzed after the rat had a steroid.

A scientist named Julius Vida has discussed all the known data at this time and has published a
book detailing all the values and attributes of all anabolic steroids. The book is called
Androgenes and Anabolic Agents of Chemistry and Pharmacology. It should be noted that the
Hershberg analysis was the first formal test method used and would determine whether the steroid
would be worthy of further testing or if the test had ended. Many early developed steroids had an
androgenic and anabolic high value of zero. These steroids would be classified as androgenic
steroids and were never developed for commercial

Sweet Home Alabama Songs Analysis
I consider my favorite song to be, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd and believe it has
been my favorite ever since I could understand words. At first the song was only my favorite
because it mentions my dads hometown, Muscle Shoals, and I just thought it was super neat. As
I grew older my dad explained to me the meaning and the story of the song, and I only started to
like it more. The song Sweet Home Alabama was written in the 1970 s as a response to two
songs written by Neil Young. The two songs written by Neil Young were Southern Man and
Alabama, and the songs essentially bashed on the southern people for slowing down the progress
of getting rid of segregation. So Lynyrd Skynyrd decided to write Sweet Home Alabama strictly as
a response

Argumentative Essay On Homeland Security
America has been on edge about protecting both its country and the citizens in it ever since 9/11
occurred. We have developed a more strict security line with the placement of Homeland security.
We also tested our limits to make sure that terrorism in this country would no longer become a
threat to U.S citizens; little did we know that our efforts to prevent the inevitable would only last a
short time. Now that the U.S has eliminated its central threat Osama Bin Laden leader of the Al
Qaeda terrorist group in the Middle East, another issue has created nothing but chaos and has
further split the foreign relations between the U.S and the Middle East. Furthermore, a new
extremist group called ISIS which stands for Islamic State of Iraq and

Critical thinking of The Grand Budapest Hotel and American Beauty
The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of the most spectacular films of the 21st century. The movie is
interesting and beautifully shot comedy directed by Wes Anderson. The Grand Budapest Hotel
consists of a prologue, five parts, and an epilogue. The film features many successful actors, but
the main story revolves around an interesting narration of Zero Moustafa (played by F Murray
Abraham, but embodied in younger years by Tony Revolori), who encounters the Author (starred
by Tom Wilkinson and Jude Law). Zero reveals the secret of how he became the owner of the
Grand Budapest s Hotel. The film draws attention to such themes as crime, love, the family revolts,
prison breaks, police action, and their possible consequences, thus transferring the audience into the
world of the characters and providing the lesson about moral values for life.
Foremost, it is important to single out the energetic character of Monsieur Gustave (played by
Ralph Fiennes), a concierge of the Grand Budapest s Hotel. Monsieur Gustave has mentored the
lobby boy, an orphan Zero. Thus, the concierge became a teacher and an advisor of a young boy
with a refugee past. Gustave saved Zero from police with the help of old acquaintance. On the
other hand, the lobby boy helps Gustave in his funny flee from prison. Zero sends him small
hammers concealed inside the cakes

Job Maintenance Or Knowledge Retention
When talking to my Company Officer, Captain Polston, about the scenario where a division
officer is asked to sign line items that have not been completed, she stated that it is a real
problem that I will face in the fleet. According to Captain, in some units in the fleet, there is a
culture where marking off task or line items is the norm. Especially when facilitated by the E 4
to E 6 level community, where items signed off without verifying that the subordinate retained
the knowledge or completed the job. The reasoning behind speed signing line items is that
somebody did it for me, so I m going to do it for someone else. A bro before joe atmosphere has
developed in these units, where it is expected that items will be signed with minimal effort in job
maintenance or knowledge retention. Captain stated that enlisted in these select units enlisted do
not necessarily mean to harm anyone and are not all laxidasical, but rather have assimilated into a
culture where this type of conduct is accepted. Therefore, Captain urged that we as divisional
officers develop a motto of trust, but verify. It was discussed that sometimes, it is easy to want to
trust your enlisted and even Chief when an inspection is coming around. However, we need to
remember that we are ultimately responsible for the maintenance of our division and the
knowledge/ readiness of our crew. Therefore, we must occasionally inspect the division ourselves to
ensure that all standards are met and completed

Leonid Afremov’s Painting, Alley by the Lake
Secure romantic relationships are based on trust and understanding. They are developed over time
and tend to last the longest; however, just because a couple feels secure doesn t mean the couple is
necessarily happy. While every healthy relationship shines with rays of trust and happiness,
shadows often lurk filled with lies and deceit. A painting, entitled Alley by the Lake, by Leonid
Afremov portrays the secure, yet secret, side to relationships.
Happiness holds relationships together. Finding someone who makes feelings arise, plastering a
smiling on one s face, draws any person in. It s the warmth one wants and the intensity one longs
for. Without this feeling, there is no reason to become involved. There would be no relational...

Reds and oranges are colors that one links with warmth and feeling. The warm colors in the
painting represent the love that is present which ultimately connects back to intimacy and
companionship.
Emotional security takes the longest to develop. It s putting one s full trust into the relationship. A
study was done where adults, involved in a romantic relationship, were asked to take a
questionnaire. The questionnaire focused on how emotionally secure a partner was in their
relationship. They related these findings back to infant mother research that was previously
concluded by other researchers. These researchers also blamed the outcome of their experiment,
where 56% felt emotionally secure in their relationships, on prior love experiences (Hazan Shaver,
1987, p. 511 515). This study further proves how difficult it is for a couple to reach emotional
security, after having immoral past love experiences. While the painting cannot easily express this
aspect of happiness, the couple walking arm in arm in an empty park shows the safety they feel
with one another.
Beyond happiness, as the romantic relationship evolves, and the peak of the happiness fades, trust
can start to falter. Secrets form and lies build. These secrets start small, but they can grow. A study,
whose focus was on the sexual betrayal by a romantic partner despite an agreement to be
monogamous (Feldman, Cauffman, Jensen

The Night
The walls of the shaft violently shuddered, the ground shook, rocks tumbled and a deep rumbling
sound filled my ears. The workers around me were yelling and running to safety, I ran too but I
realised I had to go back and get it, I just had too. I blacked out and was awoken by Jim, he was
shaking me, trying to get me back to consciousness. It felt like I was paralysed, I couldn t move
or talk. I looked around in a haze, there was no one in sight, all I could feel was the agonising pain
in my leg. I looked down to my leg wrapped in a jacket, covered in blood. When I finally regained
function I was bombarded by Jim questioning why would you do that Robbie, why would you
run into danger? , I just stared blankly in response. We are stuck in here, the rest got out, why
would you go back? he asked angrily. I replied with I had to get this while looking down to the
small ratty teddy bearI held in the calloused palm of my hand.
The day my sweet daughter gifted me with that bear will forever be embedded in my memory. It
all started on a cloudy day in May, I walked up the path to my home surrounded by limp and
lifeless tulips and could not help but smirk at our resemblance. I had been out of work for seven
months, applying for hundreds of jobs, yet to be successful. I was depressed and angry that I was
not able to help my family, we were struggling and I was the root of the cause. I lumbered through
the front door only to be greeted by Ava, my beautiful six year old daughter,

John F Kennedy Short Biography
Born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, John F Kennedy, the second oldest of a group
of extraordinary siblings. His Mother, Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald, and father, Joseph Kennedy Sr.
greatly influenced education, sports, and overall winning at everything. Despite his father s
constant reprimands, young Kennedy was a poor student and a mischievous boy. He attended a
Catholic boys boarding school in Connecticut called Canterbury, where he excelled at English and
history, the subjects he enjoyed, but nearly flunked Latin, in which he had no interest. John F.

Elementary School Is An Absolute Ball
I love reminiscing. Looking back at all of those photographs my parents forced me to smile and
say cheese for I actually kind of like them now. They remind me of all the fun I ve had, all the
friends I shared memories with at recess, sports games, dances, award assemblies, pep rallies, or
anything related to school really. Actually, really looking back I loved elementary, middle, and high
schoolall for the reason that it made me who I am today. If it were not for all the classes, extra
curriculars, and other school related activities, I would not have the friends I have today, would
not know even a quarter of all the math, English, history, science I was taught, and would not
have any of the confidence and respect I now withhold as a graduate of 14 whole years of
schooling. Messy hair, dirty nails, unlimited friends, imaginations with no limit, and zero
worries; Elementary school was an absolute ball. Elementary is a bit of a blur for most as it feels
like a lifetime ago, but I remember it pretty well. I attended a school right around the corner from
my house in Fontana from Pre K to the 4th grade, until my family and I moved to Eastvale where I
had to take a bus every day for 30 minutes each trip just to get to and from school. And I absolutely
loved it. I loved the idea of being the new girl, and I wanted to meet new people. Fifth grade may
very well be my favorite year. My 5th grade teacher was Mrs. Warhop, and I was what everyone
would call the teacher s pet. As

Or are management controls never anything more than a contingent accomplishment within the
dialect of control in which both parties always have some resources (and rules) at their disposal to
influence outcomes? And, whatever its basis, the extent (including limitations) to which reliance
can be placed upon management controls? Aims objectives The research seeks to make a
contribution to: corporate governance debate and audit practice in relation to the doctrine of
reliance upon systems of internal control; our understanding of management controls as human
activity/social systems and the role of social constraint; social theory especially relations between
human agency and social structure, and emergence within social reality; and at a methodological
level, by developing a critical realist approach to the study of management controls. Literature
review It seems highly likely that such corporate collapses involved significant breakdowns in
control within these organizations, but there is no systematic study of them from a management
control theory perspective. The corporate governance doctrine of reliance upon internal
/management controls has remained extensively unchanged during this period and it is now an
established feature of regulatory practice. For instance, FRC s Combined Code (2008) requires
boards to conduct a review of the organization s internal controls, at least

Dope Stereotypes
Can you dig it? I know that I can. Sundance Film Festival success, Dope, tackles stereotypes of
African American teens in lower class American societies. Malcolm continuously calls himself a
geek and is shown being doubted by his school counselor and bullied by the other kids in his
high school. Malcolm isn t like the other kids in Inglewood; he has straight A s, an almost
perfect SAT score and wants to go to Harvard. There are people who can relate to Malcolm s
story, but low income, African American neighborhoods are rarely portrayed in popular culture
through the eyes of a smart, young, African American teenager. As Odie Henderson says in his
review, Dope alternates between being shockingly tone deaf and surprisingly on point. This essay
will represent why Malcolm s story isn t the norm for movies in popular culture and why it still
follows some of the stereotypes seen in the media through an outside source, by using the
Rhetorical Method as well as the RaceEthnicity Method. The movie trailer begins... Show more

Evidence Processing Firearms Evidence
Processing all different types of firearms is as important as lifting a fingerprint or packaging DNA
as evidence. It must be done in a cautious, safe manner so that fingerprints are not ruined, safety of
the investigator is insured. While using the proper techniques to processing firearms for evidence a
case can be brought to closure quicker, another criminal can be removed from the streets. The
investigators must realize the importance of the firearmbeing processed in order to find clues that
lead to a suspect, therefore collecting evidence should be error free for an example such as not
having the correct bulletcasing at a shooting, can be in favor of the suspect.

Memory Recollection
Neuroscience has been a foundational topic and one that is interesting to explore. We as human
beings are so complicated that we can t really tell why we are even conscious! In fact, there is a
multitude of research on how the brain is neurologically connected to mind and behavior. As
someone who preserves about seven hours of sleep, I feel that sleep is vital for living organisms to
function in their daily activities. However, I stumbled upon an article that discusses the importance
of taking a rest. While people have the impression that sleep will attribute to a healthier mind and
body, many wouldn t recognize the importance of rest in conjunction of storing information. In fact,
resting for a few minutes can improve memoryrecollection rather... Show more content on

The article doesn t go into depth the details of the research, but I believe in a connection between
relaxation and performance. In our world, people who are stressed with anxiety normally don t
perform as well as people who don t feel tension. Moreover, the article talks about overstimulation
of the brain and how that could cause memory problems. Regardless, I am not too worried about
the abstraction of neurons, but I am more refined in seeing that there are experimental studies that
proved the very relationship of rest and memory. For example, Michaela Deware, a principle
investigator at the Heriot Watt University, led an experiment in 2012. Her team investigated the
results between those who had a ten minute rest and those who didn t. The team found out that in
comparison to those who haven t, people who took the ten minute rest remembered ten percent
more on a story they heard last week. These volunteers who took the initiative to sleep were
placed in an empty, quiet room that was free from distractions. After a refinery on the matter of
sleep, what surprised me most about the article is that resting could actually help insomniacs or
people diagnosed with amnesia; they ll be able to relax and retain memory a lot more

Comparing Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet; a classic tragedy of two lovers who cannot be together due to circumstances
beyond their control. The story has been done by various movies, many of which change certain
aspects in an attempt to breathe new life into this age old tale. In 1996, Director Baz Luhrman
took the story and placed it in a modern setting where the two rival families are mafia families.
This sounds like an interesting take on the story and it certainly was, but the movie turned out as a
complete mess. The soundtrack is boring in every possible way. Almost every song is completely
generic and forgettable and the ones that do stick out by any measure still fail to attain my interest
for very long. Although the cinematography and editing was good for... Show more content on

For one, it remained mostly faithful the original work with some minor and somewhat
humorous changes to better fit the modern setting. The dialogue was even left almost exactly
how it was written by Shakespeare all those years ago, which was amusing at times, but it always
sounded out of place. The acting was by far the best part of the whole movie. Leonardo DiCaprio
as Romeo and Claire Danes as Juliet played their parts to the best of their abilities and the best
moments of the movie were when they were the only two in the scene. The others also played their
parts well and if not for the outdated feel of the dialogue, it would almost seem as though all of it
was something that had actually happened. If you are considering showing this to anyone studying
Romeo and Juliet, you would be better off showing them any other movie. Students will not learn
anything at all about the story by watching this as opposed to any other film adaptation. Although
the movie remains somewhat faithful to the original Romeo and Juliet while adding an interesting
twist to the story, there is almost no educational value to the movie. It is very likely that students
will not understand most of what is going on here either because the story was not presented well,
or because they are unable to take it

first cities, life became a bit more complicated. Agriculture required expertise and detailed
recordkeeping, two elements that led directly to the invention of writing, historians say. The first
examples of writing were pictograms used by temple officials to keep track of the inflows and
outflows of the city s grain and animal stores which, in the bigger Sumerian urban centers such as
Ur, were big enough to make counting by memory unreliable. Officials began using

Why Asian Mother Are Superior By Amy Cha
Despite of your background or ethnicity, all parents want to get the best for their own children.
In order to obtain a better life, some parents raise different than others but the goal is the same.
In Why Asian Mother are superior by Amy Chua, the author explains how she raise her
daughters by not allowing them some things with the purpose of getting the best for them. I
have some similarities in the way of how she treats her daughters but I also share some
differences with her drastic methods. I do believe that Chinese methods are effective; however,
I do not agree with them and also I do not believe they are superior than others. My parents are a
combination of Western and Chinese, which I believe it is the correct way to raise a kid. My
parents always said to me that doing something in excess is not good and now that I m an adult, I
strongly agree with them because life is not just about one thing. As a kid, you needto experiment
new things in order to learn and know about life. As everyone knows, Chinese people are consider

Chinese parents sometimes are too strict with their kids. When they obtain bad scores in
school, they abuse and shame them to the point where their self esteem is very low. As Chua

shame the child (413). By contrast, I do not believe that all the blame should be on child. If a
child is studying hard for a test and he gets a B, the first thing that a parents should do is talk to
the child and try to help him as much as he can. If you punish him and blame everything on your

every parent wants the best for their kids, but sometimes incorrect methods can hurt a child more
than what he or she can actually learn from

The Original Myth Of Daedalus And Icarus
The original myth of Daedalus and Icarus was written by Ovid in his story The Story of Daedalus
and Icarus . The story is about Daedalus, who was an architect, and Icarus, his son. They were
exiled to an island that can only be escaped through the air. Daedalus made wax wings that melt if
they get too close to the sun. When Icarusstarted flying, he flew too high and fell to his death.
This story has been interpreted several different ways; these include: Landscape with the Fall of
Icarus, a painting by Pieter Bruegel; Landscape with the Fall of Icarus , a poem by William
Carlos Williams; and Musee des Beaux Arts , a poem by W. H. Auden. The texts use different
elements to portray Icarus death, which symbolizes man s failure. One

Confessional Poetry Essay
Confessional Poetry

A sort of walking miracle, my skin Bright as a Nazi lampshade, My right foot
A paperweight, My face featureless, fine Jew linen.
This excerpt comes from the poem Lady Lazarus by Sylvia Plath, one of the most famous and
infamous poets of the 20th century. Many of Plath s poems, such as this one, belong to a particular
school of poetry known as Confessional Poetry. With a distinct style all their own, Plath and her
fellow Confessional poets will be forever remembered for their brutal honesty, emotionality, and the
personal quality of their poems.

Confessional poetry gained its momentum in 1959 with the publication of Robert Lowell s
Life Studies and W.D. Snodgrass s Heart s Needle. Robert Lowell was born in Boston in 1917,
and initially entered the world of poetry by writing formal poems in the style of the New Critics.
Although he received ample praise for his work, Lowell s personal life wasn t so happy he dealt
with marital strife and serious depression, and was hospitalized on a number of occasions. In his
mid fifties, he was influenced by other Confessional poets to delve deeper into his personal
experience, and consequently attempted more autobiographical and free style poems. His poem
Man and Wife reflects his marital troubles when it concludes:
Now twelve years later you turn your back Sleepless, you hold your pillow to your hollows like a
child, your old fashioned tirade loving, rapid, merciless breaks like the Atlantic Ocean on my head.
This poem nicely reflects the autobiographical aspect of Confessional poetry, as anyone aware of
Lowell s personal life would realize how true the words ring. Poems filled with so much genuine
emotion help to bring the reader into an empathic position, and to actually imagine being in the
speaker s situation.

Here I am, down in my blocks looking at the ground waiting for the ref to call the next move.
Concentration in my eyes and determination on my heart and mind. The next whistle is called,

running my hardest. First hundred down, three to go. Getting up in the second place spot. Behind

some seconds later the first handoff is made. It comes to my hand off, I go when my teammate

The Great Northwoods Essay
The Great Northwoods
As with all things, the history of an event does not begin at its conception. With this in mind, it is
my intention to provide the reader with a general history of events that led to the formation of the
Nicolet National Forest of northern Wisconsin. In order to do so, I found it necessary to begin
with the early explorations of such notables as James Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, and Jean
Nicolet. These French explorers blazed a path that enabled the settling of the territories now know
as Wisconsin. Men like them embodied the new era of exploration that was gripping the European
nations with the quest for empire, trade, and the advancement of Christianity, leading the way. In

With the failure of agriculture to take a firm hold, the conservation movement led the
government to purchase large tracts of land in an effort to save what little was left of the great
forests of Wisconsin. Fires had become rampant within the region, lives were being lost, and the
government became determined to correct the situation. I have determined that the end point of
my discussion will be the years leading up to World War II. For while the Great Depression
brought about untold suffering for many, it was actually the giver of life for the Nicolet National
Forest. People needed work, and the government was searching for ways to put them to work.
Forming and nurturing the growth of a National Forest was the ideal answer for thousands. The
years immediately proceeding World War II brought back economic security for many, and left a
legacy of many industrial accomplishments as well as non industrial accomplishments such as the
Nicolet National Forest. In conclusion, the manner that I have chosen to write this paper was
presented to me by my sources. Of the few sources that I was able to garner dealing solely with
the Nicolet National Forest, each followed the same general outline. And, since importance was
stressed upon these areas already by established historians, I felt that it should not be ignored.
The first major exploration that bears particular relevance to the Nicolet National Forest begins

The World Trade Organization implements and facilitates trade between countries. Their aim is to
help countries especially developing countries in boosting their trade between countries. They also
help in creating agreements between countries that help to encourage trade and make trade easier.
They help in settling disputes or problems between member countries anytime it develops. I chose
this topic because I wanted to find out the different ways that the WTO has influenced trade

Sampson and W. Bradnee Chambers, they talk about the WTO, its aim and their main functions.
They start by saying that The goal of a world trading system centered on the World Trade
Organization (WTO) is for multilaterally agreed law, coupled with the progressive liberalization of
trade, to the basis for international trade relations (Sampson, Chambers). This basically sums up
the aim of the WTO, they are in charge of creating free and fair trade and making sure that each
and every country is being treated well, both those countries that are big in the trade market and
those that are small, there is also no discrimination and each and every rule and regulation created
is accepted by all the members of the WTO. One of the problems that have been encountered is the
high tariffs that are being put on goods that are imported from other countries. The article mentions
that because of high tariffs on many products, a compromise agreement with the exclusions sought
for sensitive and special farm products would significantly decrease the gains from reform
(Sampson, Chambers). The article also talks about how the four African countries namely, Chad,
Benin, Burkina Faso and Mali use cotton as their main means of export, the importance of this
trade and also how the market price for cotton is reducing and this might become a problem for

Email Encryption is the very important topic of todays need. Because it provides the proper
security to the message. And in now days everybody wants the proper security for our message so
that the original message as it is read by the recipient that are send by the sender without any
changes/alternation in the message. So this is the very important topic to cover up and secure our
messages from unauthorized user s access. That provide the security to our communication. So, we
can easily communicate without any afraid of hacking of data.
INTRODUCTION: Encryption is the most effective way to provide the data security. It is a process
which converts original information into a difficult to interpret form. The original information is
known as plain text and the converted information/message is commonly known as cipher text.
In now a days you email delicate, individual and business data to your recipients, then encryption

fortunate enough to meet a man named Victor Poirel who owned a private harem and so he was

Over the years I ve seen many changes in real estate investing. Currently, I m seeing a subtle but oh
so ever present transition in real estate investing. It involves a shift in the way folks think about
their real estate investment, a movement towards being more dispassionate, a movement away
from qualitative and being more focused on the quantitative. Folks historically look at property
differently than they do other investments. They look at their rental properties with the same
viewpoint that they look at their home, with some pride of possession.
You would not look on your technology stock with pride of possession, unless maybe it was
Apple stock and you used to be a Macophile. But with real estate, there has a tendency to not only
take pride in your properties, but to extend the stock analogy a buy and hold mind set.
What I am both seeing and recommending is a shift away from that. For one thing, if you go into
RE investing with that disposition, it will break your heart. You can not think about investment

Should Public Transportation Should Be Made Free In The...
Imagine being lost in New York City. Where would you go? My first instinct would be to hail a
taxi or get on a train or subway and take it somewhere familiar to me. What if you had no money,
then what would you do? I don t know what I would do. You can t take public transportation
without money, but you should be able to. Even if you weren t lost, and you had somewhere to
go, what would you do? So many people are unable to afford public transportation, that they are
just not able to get around, and get to where they need to go, like to work or to an event. If public
transportation were to be made free, people who can t afford a train ticket would now be able to
get around. Moreover, despite the obvious benefits, there would be no more crazy city car traffic.
This would help to conserve the environment, and to create a safer and healthier environment.
Therefore, public transportation should in fact be made free in the United States.
Issues regarding public transportation have been an ongoing debate since the 1950s. In the 1950s,
African Americans were discriminated against; They were not able to to ride in the front of the bus
and had to give up their seat for a white person. For example, Rosa Parks sparked much debate
and controversy when she refused to give her seat up for a white person. This led to the
Montgomery Bus Boycott, when blacks refused to ride public busses at all. Now, Social Justice
advocate, Tyler Falk states: While African Americans are no longer required

The victory for the Liberals was a surprising landslide which left the Liberals with 401 seats and

fought to preserve the Empire. It revealed the fact that the British people were weak and unhealthy.
Fears were expressed that generations of urban living, in often appalling conditions, were leading
to degeneration of the national physique. Commentators pointed to the fact that Britain was the
most urbanised society in the world with nine out of ten of its population living in towns and
cities. The call for medical inspection and meals was sounded by the interdepartmental committee

significance of it was it had no stigma attached, it treated all school children equally. It came under
opposition from the Charity Organisation Society as they felt the supply of free school meals was
inadequate and the want was found to be due to many different causes, and could only be removed

Video Games Call Of Duty
One of the biggest controversial cases among parents and children is, whether to allow them to
play violent video games. Many people often assume that these intense games have a direct
correlation to becoming a violent person. While many people agree with this, the research is not
100% accurate. This makes it very hard to find proof that a violent video gameis one of the leading
causes of a violent person. We are often blaming these games for a more internal complex problem.
One of the leading video games Call Of Duty focuses on killing people in order to win the game.
This game has over 40 million users and is the most successful franchise in all of history. In my
opinion what is the fun of theoretically killing virtual people? I do not think kids should be
subjective to watching this violence at a young age. These games should be geared for adults more
than children. When the child is held at the age of accountability they can then decide what games
are good for them.
When a shooting happens many people are looking for reasons as to why it happened, many times
they automatically assumed that person played violent video games. Conservatives start to raise
their opinion when things in American go awry. Republican Donald Trump tweeted on Twitter:
Video game violence glorification must be stopped it s creating monsters! In hopes to end the video
games that correlate to violence the government plans to take action. The state Rep. of Missouri,

The most important of these is the Permian Basin. In the latter half of the Paleozoic era,
sediments rich in organic matter accumulated here when a shallow sea got cut off from the main
oceans and evaporated off, leaving lots of dead critters and evaporites. These sediments eventually
got buried and compressed, causing the oil and gas to form pockets in permeable rock, surrounded
by impermeable rocks so that they couldn t escape. There the fluid sits until someone pokes a hole
(well) into the area and the contents rush out as the tremendous pressure is released. Other areas of
Texas with notable petroleum sources include East Texas s Woodbine Formation (formed in the Late
Cretaceous), much of the Gulf Coast and the Gulf itself, and various smaller pockets in South and
South Central Texas.
Coal may be overshadowed by petroleum in Texas, but it s still here. Pennsylvanian age
bituminous coal was mined in North Central Texas in sizable quantities. Bituminous coal can
also be found in Cretaceous age rocks in near Eagle Pass and in the Trans Pecos region. But the
major player in Texas coal is Lignite, even though it is a lower grade coal. The Texas lignite
comes from vegetative material deposited around 50 million years ago in coastal lagoon type
environments, near rivers and their deltas. The material was buried before it could decay, so it sat
there and was buried under more and more sediments. The enormous

Life Changing Events Essay
Life changing events can sometimes be difficult. In the stories I Never Had it Made, By Jackie
Robinson Warriors Don t Cry By Melba Patillo Beals and The Father of Chinese Aviation. By
Rebecca Maskel. Melba Beals, Jackie Robinson, and Feng Ru all experienced life changing events
that impacted their lives. If you did not know these people went through danger to break
segregation. Melba Beals and Jackie Robinsonbroke the color barrier by playing on a white ball
team and going to a white school as blacks.
Melba Beals was one of the Little Rock Nine to go to a white school as a black. When Melba and
the little rock nine first tried to go in the school segregation mobs had forbidden them to go. As
Beals said in the text I saw them about fifty uniformed soldiers of the 101st. This shows that just
because they did not make it in the first time they will make it in the second time. Despite all of
the time they wasted and still could not get in, they still went back every day until they were led
in by soldiers. But the main people who gave support to them are their parents and neighbors and
also the ministers of their church. As said in the text I recognized neighbors and even ministers
from our church. (Beals) This shows that they have plenty support as they walk up the steps of the
school and enter the school. Melba s experiences with breaking the color barrier shows that she
feels proud for what she had accomplished. She and the little rock nine were given

Reasoning Disaster management results in a holistic approach; perplexing enough a disaster isn t
defined by the overhead, rather the viewer becomes the author. Considering this, many disasters,

Essay on Making a Biogas Digestor for Ugandan Farmers
Introduction
For this project I am doing biogas, most farmers in Uganda don t make use of the animal waste to
generate energy for their household use. Having a biogas digester would give farmers power
which they can use for lighting and cooking. The digester produces bio slurry which serves as
organic manure for their crops. Therefore biogas would be the most efficient and accessible form of
energy in the rural areas which constitute 80% of the population of Uganda since the animal waste
is available to them at no financial cost.
Defining the Problem
The population of Uganda is 35,918,915, eighty percent of Ugandans are farmers (CIA World Fact
book).Only 25 percent of Ugandans have access to the power grid, the remaining 75 percent have to

Having electricity in rural areas can also bring business opportunities to rural areas. Education and
health in the rural areas will be improved. This will result in economic development and income
generation for women. Rural electrification also improves the technological view of the people
because they will be able to learn new techniques on computers which will improve their
intelligence.
Solution
An ambitious target is needed by the government of Uganda to provide accessible, cheap and
clean energy to the 75% of the population. The government of Uganda through the Ministry of
Energy should subsidize the cost of the bio digester unit. From records, the GDP per capita for
Uganda is 1,500 Dollars therefore it is one of the poorest countries in the world (CIA World Fact
book). It is therefore very difficult if not impossible for a household to be able to afford a bio
digester because a unit cost between 700 and 1000 United States Dollars (Kafayat Adeyemi).
There should be programmes on the importance of bio digester to the farmers (savings, clean
cooking, health benefits, green or sustainable environment etc.). This will give the farmers a sense
of responsibility and involvement in the whole process. Donor funding should also be pursued.
The farmers in rural areas should invest in biogas digesters, a biogas digester would be useful
because it needs raw materials which are available to the farmers at any time.

Production Of The Automotive Industry
Selected Review of Literature: Lean Manufacturing in Automotive Industry The automotive
industry continues to grow every day. Companies are always coming out with new technology for
cars to better their product. In order for these companies to keep a competitive advantage they most
implement different types of manufacturing processes. One of these manufacturing processes is
lean manufacturing. Sundar, Balaji and Satheesh have done research on lean manufacturing, and
they define it as the elimination of waste by determining value added activities and non value added
activities. Non value added activities consist of transportation, inventory, motion waiting,
overproduction, over processing, and defects (2014). Elmoselhy has found multiple tools to be used
to implement lean manufacturing. Some of these tools are: 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Single
Minute Exchange Die, Kaizen, and Autonomation. This list does not include all of the possible
ways to implement lean manufacturing, but gives a brief introduction to a couple. The 5S stands
for Sorting, Setting, Shining, Standardizing, and Sustaining (2013). This paper will discuss one of
the five S s, which will be standardizing. Also, this paper will also go into detail about how an
automotive manufacturing company uses Single Minute Exchange Die, and some other aspects of
lean manufacturing such as visual control and environmental management. Because lean
manufacturing can be implemented in many different ways this paper

Effects Of New Imperialism In China
New Imperialism started China s downward spiral. Europeans, British, and Americans made a mad
dash to claim new territories. The main goals of these countries were to supply their countries with
raw materials to fuel their economic growth. Benefits to occupied countries were determined by
which country and what faction of that country occupied the territory.
During this time period Britain took over India. They began growing opium and tea. Tea happened
to be a major export of China. India would eventually replaced China as the main exporter of tea.
Japan would also eventually start competing with China for the silk and tea industry. This lead to a
weakening of the Chinese economy. Opium that was grown legally in India was now being

To combat the foreign powers pushing into the country and demanding a more modern system of

official of the Qing (Manchu) dynasty. Zexu lead the First Opium Wars against the British. He
banish the British with the Help of the Portuguese from Macao. The British settled in Hong Kong,
which gave them great positioning for further attacks on China. While China spent time and money
fighting this war countries like India, that had been more accepting of westernization, benefited
from infrastructure and education.
When the British wanted to re open trade with China, and they wanted a european style diplomatic
relationship. Using India s ships, that the British controlled, they shut down Chinas trade ports and
forced China to negotiate.
After this war China was forced into signing a treaty and trade agreements. China being displeased
with the treaty, refused to have Foreign Diplomates in the capital and the expansion of trade fell
short of the western expectations. In 1856 1860. Thousands of foreign troop occupied the capital
and burned down the emperors summer palace. This lead to more trade ports leased in perpetuity to

brought a film crew with him and a few other people that wanted to see Jonestown as well.

how bad they wanted to leave. It was then very obvious that the people were being held there
against their will. The next day as Ryan and the other s that came with him began to board the

Adaptation Of The African Queen
This is a British American Movie that was acted in 1951 and this was an adaptation of the novel
The African Queen that was written in 1935 by C.S Forester. The director of this film is John
Huston and the producers were John Woolf and Sam Spiegel. The characters Samuel Sayer and
his sister Rose are missionaries from Britain who have gone on a mission in Kungdu, a village
of German s colony in East Africa just when the First World War had started. All the supplies and
mails are delivered by a small boat that uses steam and it is named African Queen and it is
driven by a rough Canadian who has an intolerable behavior and whose name is Charllie. He
warns these two missionaries that there is war between Germany and Britain but they choose not
to escape but rather remain and thus witness how the Germans burn down completely their
mission center and capture all the villagers into slavery. Samuel decides to show protest against
this evil acts and he is eventually captured and beaten brutally by the German soldiers and this is
the eventual cause of his death (Huston Agee). There is a lot of enmity displayed by the Germans
against the British and to the Africans and thus it is suicidal to pass through or near a German
fortress. Everything is just too dangerous in this movie especially where the Germans are
concerned. When Rose and Chrilie decide to navigate to the Ulanga River, they have to pass
through a German fortress where they are harassed in addition to the three sets of

Illustration Of The Need For Applying The Systems Case Study
Introductory Illustration of the Need for Applying the Systems Approach
Humans need to be in an adaptive state at all times moving forward on climate change. The
definition of nexus is the center of various connections. Water, energy, and food are the central
needs to maintain global security, profitability, and equity. Water systems, energy systems, and food
systems are sources of inputs and outputs in the various connection formulas. Water security equals
food security. For too long, the value of water is not adequately assessed and because of this water

A significant amount of energy is needed to heat water. Energy is required to heat water for
washing and in residential settings. Industrial and commercial facilities need heated water for
production of industry.
Strategies Synergies Reducing waste is the key strategies to reduce food water and energy waste.
Food water energy waste includes reducing meat production and consumption. Composting food
waste is a valuable resource which can be used to fertilize agricultural land depleted of its nutrients
from industrial farming. Food waste can also convert to biofuel which can generate electric used to
withdraw and purify water.
At the city level, we need more trees, everywhere I park, I find it quite challenging to find shade to
park under to prevent my vehicle from getting unbearably hot. Reducing the amount of urban heat
emanating from blacktop concrete can reduce the overall amount of urban heat for an area.
Capturing carbon energy and water in cities is another area of opportunity for cities to improve
efficiency while applying a holistic approach to city sustainability. Captured greywater can be
reused water to flush refuse.
Opportunities and Challenges
The opportunities and challenges for the food water nexus are vast. Zero waste implementation
globally is only occurring in one country, Bhutan. Located in the Himalayan Mountains, Bhutan is
between India and China. Many countries have zero carbon food waste goals, but none has yet to
achieve this goal other than

Working First the analog signal from the input side is sampled as per the sampling rate as a result of it the signal is now in the form of discrete signal.so to overcome the aliasing effect we use sampling frequent which is twice the max frequency of the signal. Quantization process is is used to concert this discrete signal to binary form after all this step the signal quantize as per the level of the signal.at the output side decoding of this binary signal take place with maintaining the same level of quantization in this way we will obtain the original analog signal. DPCM Definition Differential PCM (DPCM) is more compelling then PCM as it figure this distinction and after that transmit this little contrast motion rather than the whole info input sample. Since the distinction between input tests is not as much as a whole info sample, the quantity of bits required for transmission is diminished. As a result it reduces in throughput required to transmit the voice signals. Utilizing DPCM can lessen the bit rate of any voice transmission down to 48 kbps. Working and advantage: The initial segment of DPCM works precisely like PCM so called derived function PCM. The info sign is sampled at a constant sampling absolute frequency (two times the stimulation frequency). Then these samples are modulated using the PAM appendage. At this item, the DPCM unconscious

Weimer Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy 10 September 2014 Instructor: MSgt Blaine Holland Warren Bennis, a renowned scholar in leadership studies said, Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. (Bennis, 2014) Widely regarded as one of the greatest Generals in U.S. military history and one of the most important men of the 20th century, George C. Marshall was an extraordinary visionary and ethical leader. In this paper I will first, cover how George Marshall used his understanding of pressures for organizational change to transform the post WWI United States Army and how his transformational leadership put his vision into action. Next I will cover how George Marshall was an ethical leader through ethical behavior and how his fair mindedness helped create and enact the Marshall Plan. Last, I will relate the principle of a visionary and ethical leader to my personal relevance. George C. Marshall was a strategic visionary leader and an astute statesman. When Marshall was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the Army in 1939 he knew that transforming the Army at a time of volatile and uncertain environment was essential for survival . (Nelson, 1993) The flames of conflict worldwide seemed about to get out of control. Europe stood on the verge of war. • 5. Special Education And The Civil Rights Movement Special education is a relatively new concept in education. The question is why? Although, the Federal Government required all children to attend school since 1918, this did not apply to students with disabilities. Many state laws gave school districts the ability to deny access to individuals they deem uneducable. The term uneducable varied from state to state, schoolto school, and even individual to individual. If students were accepted into the school, they were placed in regular classrooms with their peers with no support or in classrooms that were not appropriate to meet their needs. This started to change with the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 1960s. The lawsuit Brown vs the Board of Educationsued to end segregation of public schools laid the ground work for Individuals with Disabilities Act. The next major impact in education was the enactment of Elementary and Secondary Act signed into effect by President Lyndon Johnson in 1965. The purpose of this law was to provide fair and equal access to education for all, established higher standards, and mandated funds for professional development, resources for support education programs, and parent involvement. Under this law, programs like Head Start were created and celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Despite additional federal funds and mandatory laws, children with disabilities were unserved or underserved by public school due to loop holes with in the law. Many more lawsuit followed Brown vs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Anabolic Steroid Testosterone is used as a basic standard in which all other anabolic steroids are measured. Each anabolic steroid has its own anabolic and androgenic value. These values significantly explain the steroid and help determine the possible combination. Anabolic steroids have anabolic and androgenic effects in humans. The anabolic properties of anabolic steroids are responsible for the growth of muscles and tissues. The androgen side promotes masking effects such as deepening of the voice and increasing body and facial hair. The anabolic effects of steroids are what athletes and bodybuilders seek to avoid androgenic effects. In the early years of anabolic steroid development, there was no standardized test method for different steroids or the method of measuring their strength. Hershberger Assay was introduced in 1960 to solve this problem. After administration of the steroid test, various parts of the body and muscles were analyzed in the rat. Since testosterone was considered the standard for testing, the tissue would be compared to the tissue exposed to testosterone. Levator is not the muscle in rats that control the movement of the skin. The muscles were analyzed after the rat had a steroid. Increasing the muscle mass and body weight of the ... Many early developed steroids had an androgenic and anabolic high value of zero. These steroids would be classified as androgenic steroids and were never developed for commercial ... • 7. Sweet Home Alabama Songs Analysis I consider my favorite song to be, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd and believe it has been my favorite ever since I could understand words. At first the song was only my favorite because it mentions my dads hometown, Muscle Shoals, and I just thought it was super neat. As I grew older my dad explained to me the meaning and the story of the song, and I only started to like it more. The song Sweet Home Alabama was written in the 1970 s as a response to two songs written by Neil Young. The two songs written by Neil Young were Southern Man and Alabama, and the songs essentially bashed on the southern people for slowing down the progress of getting rid of segregation. • 8. Argumentative Essay On Homeland Security America has been on edge about protecting both its country and the citizens in it ever since 9/11 occurred. We have developed a more strict security line with the placement of Homeland security. We also tested our limits to make sure that terrorism in this country would no longer become a threat to U.S citizens; little did we know that our efforts to prevent the inevitable would only last a short time. Now that the U.S has eliminated its central threat Osama Bin Laden leader of the Al Qaeda terrorist group in the Middle East, another issue has created nothing but chaos and has further split the foreign relations between the U.S and the Middle East. Critical Thinking Of The Grand Budapest Hotel Doug Weinriech Professor Tumminello The Art of Theatrical Cinema March 12, 2016 Critical thinking of The Grand Budapest Hotel and American Beauty The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of the most spectacular films of the 21st century. The movie is interesting and beautifully shot comedy directed by Wes Anderson. The Grand Budapest Hotel consists of a prologue, five parts, and an epilogue. The film features many successful actors, but the main story revolves around an interesting narration of Zero Moustafa (played by F Murray Abraham, but embodied in younger years by Tony Revolori), who encounters the Author (starred by Tom Wilkinson and Jude Law). Zero reveals the secret of how he became the owner of the Grand Budapest s Hotel. The film draws attention to such themes as crime, love, the family revolts, prison breaks, police action, and their possible consequences, thus transferring the audience into the world of the characters and providing the lesson about moral values for life. Foremost, it is important to single out the energetic character of Monsieur Gustave (played by Ralph Fiennes), a concierge of the Grand Budapest s Hotel. Monsieur Gustave has mentored the lobby boy, an orphan Zero. Thus, the concierge became a teacher and an advisor of a young boy with a refugee past. Gustave saved Zero from police with the help of old acquaintance. On the other hand, the lobby boy helps Gustave in his funny flee from prison. Zero sends him small hammers concealed inside the cakes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Job Maintenance Or Knowledge Retention When talking to my Company Officer, Captain Polston, about the scenario where a division officer is asked to sign line items that have not been completed, she stated that it is a real problem that I will face in the fleet. According to Captain, in some units in the fleet, there is a culture where marking off task or line items is the norm. Especially when facilitated by the E 4 to E 6 level community, where items signed off without verifying that the subordinate retained the knowledge or completed the job. The reasoning behind speed signing line items is that somebody did it for me, so I m going to do it for someone else. A bro before joe atmosphere has developed in these units, where it is expected that items will be signed with minimal effort in job maintenance or knowledge retention. Captain stated that enlisted in these select units enlisted do not necessarily mean to harm anyone and are not all laxidasical, but rather have assimilated into a culture where this type of conduct is accepted. Therefore, Captain urged that we as divisional officers develop a motto of trust, but verify. It was discussed that sometimes, it is easy to want to trust your enlisted and even Chief when an inspection is coming around. However, we need to remember that we are ultimately responsible for the maintenance of our division and the knowledge/ readiness of our crew. Therefore, we must occasionally inspect the division ourselves to ensure that all standards are met and completed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Leonid Afremov’s Painting, Alley by the Lake Secure romantic relationships are based on trust and understanding. They are developed over time and tend to last the longest; however, just because a couple feels secure doesn t mean the couple is necessarily happy. While every healthy relationship shines with rays of trust and happiness, shadows often lurk filled with lies and deceit. A painting, entitled Alley by the Lake, by Leonid Afremov portrays the secure, yet secret, side to relationships. Happiness holds relationships together. Finding someone who makes feelings arise, plastering a smiling on one s face, draws any person in. It s the warmth one wants and the intensity one longs for. Reds and oranges are colors that one links with warmth and feeling. The warm colors in the painting represent the love that is present which ultimately connects back to intimacy and companionship. Emotional security takes the longest to develop. It s putting one s full trust into the relationship. A study was done where adults, involved in a romantic relationship, were asked to take a questionnaire. The questionnaire focused on how emotionally secure a partner was in their relationship. They related these findings back to infant mother research that was previously concluded by other researchers. These researchers also blamed the outcome of their experiment, where 56% felt emotionally secure in their relationships, on prior love experiences (Hazan Shaver, 1987, p. 511 515). This study further proves how difficult it is for a couple to reach emotional security, after having immoral past love experiences. While the painting cannot easily express this aspect of happiness, the couple walking arm in arm in an empty park shows the safety they feel with one another. Beyond happiness, as the romantic relationship evolves, and the peak of the happiness fades, trust can start to falter. Secrets form and lies build. These secrets start small, but they can grow. A study, whose focus was on the sexual betrayal by a romantic partner despite an agreement to be monogamous (Feldman, Cauffman, Jensen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 15. Elementary School Is An Absolute Ball I love reminiscing. Looking back at all of those photographs my parents forced me to smile and say cheese for I actually kind of like them now. They remind me of all the fun I ve had, all the friends I shared memories with at recess, sports games, dances, award assemblies, pep rallies, or anything related to school really. Actually, really looking back I loved elementary, middle, and high schoolall for the reason that it made me who I am today. If it were not for all the classes, extra curriculars, and other school related activities, I would not have the friends I have today, would not know even a quarter of all the math, English, history, science I was taught, and would not have any of the confidence and respect I now withhold as a graduate of 14 whole years of schooling. Messy hair, dirty nails, unlimited friends, imaginations with no limit, and zero worries; Elementary school was an absolute ball. Elementary is a bit of a blur for most as it feels like a lifetime ago, but I remember it pretty well. I attended a school right around the corner from my house in Fontana from Pre K to the 4th grade, until my family and I moved to Eastvale where I had to take a bus every day for 30 minutes each trip just to get to and from school. And I absolutely loved it. I loved the idea of being the new girl, and I wanted to meet new people. Fifth grade may very well be my favorite year. Or are management controls never anything more than a contingent accomplishment within the dialect of control in which both parties always have some resources (and rules) at their disposal to influence outcomes? And, whatever its basis, the extent (including limitations) to which reliance can be placed upon management controls? Aims objectives The research seeks to make a contribution to: corporate governance debate and audit practice in relation to the doctrine of reliance upon systems of internal control; our understanding of management controls as human activity/social systems and the role of social constraint; social theory especially relations between human agency and social structure, and emergence within social reality; and at a methodological level, by developing a critical realist approach to the study of management controls. Literature review It seems highly likely that such corporate collapses involved significant breakdowns in control within these organizations, but there is no systematic study of them from a management control theory perspective. The corporate governance doctrine of reliance upon internal /management controls has remained extensively unchanged during this period and it is now an established feature of regulatory practice. For instance, FRC s Combined Code (2008) requires boards to conduct a review of the organization s internal controls, at least ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Malcolm continuously calls himself a geek and is shown being doubted by his school counselor and bullied by the other kids in his high school. Malcolm isn t like the other kids in Inglewood; he has straight A s, an almost perfect SAT score and wants to go to Harvard. There are people who can relate to Malcolm s story, but low income, African American neighborhoods are rarely portrayed in popular culture through the eyes of a smart, young, African American teenager. As Odie Henderson says in his review, Dope alternates between being shockingly tone deaf and surprisingly on point. We as human beings are so complicated that we can t really tell why we are even conscious! In fact, there is a multitude of research on how the brain is neurologically connected to mind and behavior. As someone who preserves about seven hours of sleep, I feel that sleep is vital for living organisms to function in their daily activities. However, I stumbled upon an article that discusses the importance of taking a rest. In our world, people who are stressed with anxiety normally don t perform as well as people who don t feel tension. Moreover, the article talks about overstimulation of the brain and how that could cause memory problems. Regardless, I am not too worried about the abstraction of neurons, but I am more refined in seeing that there are experimental studies that proved the very relationship of rest and memory. For example, Michaela Deware, a principle investigator at the Heriot Watt University, led an experiment in 2012. Her team investigated the results between those who had a ten minute rest and those who didn t. The team found out that in comparison to those who haven t, people who took the ten minute rest remembered ten percent more on a story they heard last week. These volunteers who took the initiative to sleep were placed in an empty, quiet room that was free from distractions. The story has been done by various movies, many of which change certain aspects in an attempt to breathe new life into this age old tale. In 1996, Director Baz Luhrman took the story and placed it in a modern setting where the two rival families are mafia families. This sounds like an interesting take on the story and it certainly was, but the movie turned out as a complete mess. The soundtrack is boring in every possible way. For one, it remained mostly faithful the original work with some minor and somewhat humorous changes to better fit the modern setting. The dialogue was even left almost exactly how it was written by Shakespeare all those years ago, which was amusing at times, but it always sounded out of place. The acting was by far the best part of the whole movie. Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo and Claire Danes as Juliet played their parts to the best of their abilities and the best moments of the movie were when they were the only two in the scene. The others also played their parts well and if not for the outdated feel of the dialogue, it would almost seem as though all of it was something that had actually happened. If you are considering showing this to anyone studying Romeo and Juliet, you would be better off showing them any other movie. Students will not learn anything at all about the story by watching this as opposed to any other film adaptation. Although the movie remains somewhat faithful to the original Romeo and Juliet while adding an interesting twist to the story, there is almost no educational value to the movie. Ancient Mesopotamian Writing By 3000 B.C. in Mesopotamia (present day Iraq), and then soon after in Egypt, and by 1500 B.C. in China, people were scribbling, sketching and telling their world about their culture in a very permanent way. When ancient Mesopotamians started settling down onto farms surrounding the first cities, life became a bit more complicated. Although he received ample praise for his work, Lowell s personal life wasn t so happy he dealt with marital strife and serious depression, and was hospitalized on a number of occasions. In his mid fifties, he was influenced by other Confessional poets to delve deeper into his personal experience, and consequently attempted more autobiographical and free style poems. His poem Man and Wife reflects his marital troubles when it concludes: Now twelve years later you turn your back Sleepless, you hold your pillow to your hollows like a child, your old fashioned tirade loving, rapid, merciless breaks like the Atlantic Ocean on my head. It involves a shift in the way folks think about their real estate investment, a movement towards being more dispassionate, a movement away from qualitative and being more focused on the quantitative. Folks historically look at property differently than they do other investments. They look at their rental properties with the same viewpoint that they look at their home, with some pride of possession. These games should be geared for adults more than children. When the child is held at the age of accountability they can then decide what games are good for them. When a shooting happens many people are looking for reasons as to why it happened, many times they automatically assumed that person played violent video games. Conservatives start to raise their opinion when things in American go awry. Republican Donald Trump tweeted on Twitter: Video game violence glorification must be stopped it s creating monsters! In hopes to end the video games that correlate to violence the government plans to take action. The state Rep. of Missouri, Diane Franklin, has brought ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The King s Theory Of Moral Development Lee Lebensbaum Psychology 05/25/2016 The King Says This: An Analysis of the Self Through Various Psychological Theories It is not easy being born a king. From the days of my humble youth to the present, my path to royal prestige has not been a clear path. The trials and tribulations I have suffered were only to develop my character. So, I say this: Am I the number one contender for valedictorian? No, I am not. Am I going off to Harvard to become a lawyer? No I am not. But the one thing that I am is something you jabronies will never be. Regardless after every failing grade, regardless after every tragic event, after every sickness, I still stand before you today as the People s... King.п»ї And I think you would agree. Here is my story. My life closely mimics how Kohlberg described in his theory of moral development. From the first stage of his theory of moral development, I recall following orders to the letter. The punishment and threat thereof were terrifying. Detention, suspension, expulsion were strong deterrents. Raised by very strict parents, I listened and obeyed every command. School was the priority, and getting good grades was the most important thing to them. Therefore, it was the most important thing to me. But as I grew, I began to see conflict in what my parents saw was right and what the teachers said was right. This lead me to stage two of Kohlberg s theory of moral development that different people will have different opinions on what is right. I had to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But there are a lot more natural resources in Texas than you might think. The natural soils make for good farming and ranching conditions, we ve got great rock deposits for a variety of industrial uses, and we have a number of different mineral deposits scattered through the state. The most important of these is the Permian Basin. In the latter half of the Paleozoic era, sediments rich in organic matter accumulated here when a shallow sea got cut off from the main oceans and evaporated off, leaving lots of dead critters and evaporites. These sediments eventually got buried and compressed, causing the oil and gas to form pockets in permeable rock, surrounded by impermeable rocks so that they couldn t escape. There the fluid sits until someone pokes a hole (well) into the area and the contents rush out as the tremendous pressure is released. Other areas of Texas with notable petroleum sources include East Texas s Woodbine Formation (formed in the Late Cretaceous), much of the Gulf Coast and the Gulf itself, and various smaller pockets in South and South Central Texas. Coal may be overshadowed by petroleum in Texas, but it s still here. Pennsylvanian age bituminous coal was mined in North Central Texas in sizable quantities. Bituminous coal can also be found in Cretaceous age rocks in near Eagle Pass and in the Trans Pecos region. But the major player in Texas coal is Lignite, even though it is a lower grade coal. The Texas lignite comes from vegetative material deposited around 50 million years ago in coastal lagoon type environments, near rivers and their deltas. The material was buried before it could decay, so it sat there and was buried under more and more sediments. The enormous ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Melba Beals and Jackie Robinsonbroke the color barrier by playing on a white ball team and going to a white school as blacks. Melba Beals was one of the Little Rock Nine to go to a white school as a black. When Melba and the little rock nine first tried to go in the school segregation mobs had forbidden them to go. As Beals said in the text I saw them about fifty uniformed soldiers of the 101st. This shows that just because they did not make it in the first time they will make it in the second time. Despite all of the time they wasted and still could not get in, they still went back every day until they were led in by soldiers. But the main people who gave support to them are their parents and neighbors and also the ministers of their church. As said in the text I recognized neighbors and even ministers from our church. Essay on Making a Biogas Digestor for Ugandan Farmers Introduction For this project I am doing biogas, most farmers in Uganda don t make use of the animal waste to generate energy for their household use. Having a biogas digester would give farmers power which they can use for lighting and cooking. The digester produces bio slurry which serves as organic manure for their crops. Therefore biogas would be the most efficient and accessible form of energy in the rural areas which constitute 80% of the population of Uganda since the animal waste is available to them at no financial cost. Defining the Problem The population of Uganda is 35,918,915, eighty percent of Ugandans are farmers (CIA World Fact book).Only 25 percent of Ugandans have access to the power grid, the remaining 75 percent have to ... Rural electrification also improves the technological view of the people because they will be able to learn new techniques on computers which will improve their intelligence. Solution An ambitious target is needed by the government of Uganda to provide accessible, cheap and clean energy to the 75% of the population. The government of Uganda through the Ministry of Energy should subsidize the cost of the bio digester unit. From records, the GDP per capita for Uganda is 1,500 Dollars therefore it is one of the poorest countries in the world (CIA World Fact book). It is therefore very difficult if not impossible for a household to be able to afford a bio digester because a unit cost between 700 and 1000 United States Dollars (Kafayat Adeyemi). There should be programmes on the importance of bio digester to the farmers (savings, clean cooking, health benefits, green or sustainable environment etc.). This will give the farmers a sense of responsibility and involvement in the whole process. Donor funding should also be pursued. The farmers in rural areas should invest in biogas digesters, a biogas digester would be useful because it needs raw materials which are available to the farmers at any time. ... • 49. Production Of The Automotive Industry Selected Review of Literature: Lean Manufacturing in Automotive Industry The automotive industry continues to grow every day. Companies are always coming out with new technology for cars to better their product. In order for these companies to keep a competitive advantage they most implement different types of manufacturing processes. One of these manufacturing processes is lean manufacturing. Sundar, Balaji and Satheesh have done research on lean manufacturing, and they define it as the elimination of waste by determining value added activities and non value added activities. Non value added activities consist of transportation, inventory, motion waiting, overproduction, over processing, and defects (2014). Elmoselhy has found multiple tools to be used to implement lean manufacturing. Some of these tools are: 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Single Minute Exchange Die, Kaizen, and Autonomation. This list does not include all of the possible ways to implement lean manufacturing, but gives a brief introduction to a couple. The 5S stands for Sorting, Setting, Shining, Standardizing, and Sustaining (2013). This paper will discuss one of the five S s, which will be standardizing. Also, this paper will also go into detail about how an automotive manufacturing company uses Single Minute Exchange Die, and some other aspects of lean manufacturing such as visual control and environmental management.
