Men and women play different roles in society. In the beginning of the 19th century, the gap
between males and females was much larger than it is now. Back then men and women were
usually assumed to have certain occupations. For example, in the 1950s women were supposed to

(Parry 1584). Men on the other hand, were suspected to go out and work all day doing whatever

While selecting the sample for the interviews, there were two major sets of decisions that had to be
made at the outset: (1) deciding on who to interview, and (2) what questions to ask. In regards to
selecting the sample, since this question was set out in order to see the connection of internal and
external influences in students making decisions in university, it only seemed appropriate that the
interviewsample consisted of university students. As such, university students were considered the
units of analysis for this study. Five students were selected using the purposive sampling technique
known as criterion sampling. Criterion sampling was used because in order to be eligible for the
interview, the participants had to meet the certain criteria of: having to be either a university student
, or a former university student (within three years of graduation), and had to have been enrolled in
university for at least three terms. These requirements were set in order to establish an optimal
sampling frame for the interviews. Using a non probabilistic sampling technique allows the

History of the US are two analytical views on history that most people would consider politically
conflicting. Zinn s Marxist book was widely praised by liberal activist and Schweikart s book is
greatly publicized by conservatives like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. These two widely
known historians turned their focus on writing two historical pieces that would fill in the
historical holes that weren t being taught in the educational systems. It created a type of diverse
learning that made for a great argument while still allowing the readers to understand all sides
of the topics at hand. Zinn really dismissed the common white mans history and focused his
approach on a multiple minority perspective. Schweikart s book is very different in the sense he
takes aim at Zinn as he targets words like great discovery and war on terror which Zinn only used
as scare quotes. Schweikart s book really reads like old history textbooks from the moral principals

In the short story A Worn Path, the author, Eudora Welty uses mythical, religious, and spiritual
symbols as well as the setting to help the reader understand an old African American woman s life.
Welty also uses the symbolism to represent the hardships old woman has faced during the old

On September 3, 2016, I was given the opportunity to serve at The Statesboro Main Street
Farmers Market from 10:00am until 1:00pm. This event is open to the public from April to
November every Saturday from 9:30am 12:30pm beside the Bulloch County Courthouse and Sea
Island Bank. Here you will find many local vendors selling their own produce. This event is not
limited to produce as you will also find locals selling jewelry, baked goods, crafts, and my personal
favorite, coffee. Some locally owned stores other than farmers bring their business to the market
such as Three Tree Coffee Roasters, Sugar Magnolia, Cork s Kettle Corn, B G Honey Farm, etc.
With a small town feel, this charming location is perfect for the venue at hand.
What was your role at the event?
Upon arrival, I went to the information vendor located in the middle of the Farmers Market
where I was greeted by other volunteers and Melanie Sparrow, who told me my responsibilites
for the upcoming hours. My first duty was to hand out various advertisements for the upcoming
GreenFest which will be held October 1st, 2016, across the street from the Farmers Market. The
GreenFest is held by Georgia Southern s Center for Sustainability. The goal of this event is to
teach people about green living and what it entails. Much like the Farmers Market, there will be
live music, vendors, and workshops. Aside from passing out ads, I also helped keep attendance of
everyone in the market by taking a count every 30 minutes or so.

Psychopathy And Social Learning Theory And The Copycat Effect
The two topics I found interesting are both found in Chapters 4 of Adler, Mueller, and Laufer. The
topics that will be discussed in this essay are psychopathy and social learning theory and the
copycat effect . These two topics have me intrigued to learn more about. In Adler, Mueller, and
Laufer it left me questioning why these people commit such crimes and what motives or patterns
might be linked to copy others. I also found interesting how psychopathyis viewed as a serious
illness even though patients may not appear to be ill (Adler, Mueller, and Laufer 2013 pg. 103). I
want to do my search on these topics to learn a little more about them.

Things I learned from this OJT During my time as a computing services technician at Mount
Allison University I gained some valuable experience in the IT field. One thing that stands out
immediately is the experience of working and maintaining Apple devices. We received some
introduction to Apple hardware and a short program on Apple operating systems with Mr.
Murray, but did not work with Apples on a regular basis. I regularly worked on Apples in the PC
lab. Another frequent task here that was briefly brushed on during my studies at NBCC was
laptops, I repaired and configured dozens of laptops during my time here as well as varying
models of desktop computers. I gained some experience working with several models of laptops
and I even managed to find and roll out a fix for a number of laptops of the same model. I made
some mistakes here and there, forgetting to remove a battery from a laptop while taking it apart
as a safety precaution comes to mind. After the first week I had a chance to get over my nerves
and made very few mistakes as time went on. Perhaps the most exciting part of this OJT are the
service calls. These calls give both practical experience and touch a little on working with
customers too. I responded to calls in offices, classrooms, and even a few hazardous environments

In Master Harold and the Boys, Hally s crippled father never appears on stage, instead, the closest
thing to him talking is through the telephone conversations. However, Hally s father still has a huge
impact on the play as his roles in the play include creating tension through the phone conversations
and his relationship with his son also brings about the bond between Hally and the servants. In
addition, he symbolizes the conflict of apartheid in South Africa back then.
One of Hally s father s role in the play is acting as a dramatic device. His telephone conversations
with Hally alters the mood and creates tension in the play. Before the telephone conversation
regarding his dad, the mood of nostalgia was in the air as Hally and Sam recalled the kite flying
memory. However, after Hally has a frustrating phone call regarding his father, the mood
immediately changes with Hally saying, (seething with irritation and frustration) Tell me
something I don t know, Sam. What the hell do you think I was saying to my Mom? (P.34) This
quote is where Hally takes out his anger and irritation by snapping at Sam, and in doing so,
