arthropod borne illness in the United States, Lyme disease. Select proteins produced by B. burgdorferi
contain the von Willebrand Factor A (VWFA) domain, which is responsible for cell adhesion via
interaction with the extracelluar matrix (ECM), glycoproteins, and metalloproteases. Such interactions
are often an integral part of the infection process and may be especially important for B. burgdorferi,
which relies on environmental changes in both the vector and host to colonize, transmit, and infect.
BB0173, a VWFA domain containing protein, has been evaluated based on topology and adherence to
human ECM proteins and integrins, to evaluate its role during the infection process. The confirmation
of protein localization was performed by cloning the each of the three BB0173 transmembrane
domains upstream of the luminal P2 domain of the integral membrane protein leader peptidase found

Teenagers are very vulnerable and from neuroscience we know that the part of the brain responsible

Now, Homewood West has a total population of 818 people, which has steadily declined since the
1950 s (U.S. Census 2010). This transformation has had some major effects on this neighborhood,
making economic opportunities hard to find. A lack of quality education, and high crime rates have
caused businesses to leave the area, creating vacant buildings and broken down homes, lowering the
value of properties and the hopes of bringing businesses back to the community. Residents in

neighborhood with such a high crime rate, especially being a kid from a suburban area with mostly
white middle class families. Going into a neighborhood that was 95.6 percent black was definitely out
of my comfort zone (U.S. Census 2010). My perception of Homewood quickly changed however,
once I started to talk to people there. To my surprise, many were well educated and very welcoming,
and ambitious people, striving to make the community better. Many of them noted the issues in the
neighborhood, and stated that they had a lot of work to do but they made me leave Homewood West
with hope.

21st centuries libraries into an automated world. Due to the crunching financial assistance to the
libraries and increase in the cost of the information sources, it has been very difficult for the libraries
to procure all the information sources needed by their users. The solution to the above problem is
library consortia especially in relation to electronic resources. This paper describes an overview to the
concepts, needs, factors, advantages, disadvantages of library consortium. It also portrays different
types of consortium at national and international level.
