How To Write A Debate Essay
Crafting an essay on the intricacies of composing a debate essay is no small feat. The challenge
lies not only in explaining the step-by-step process but also in ensuring that the conveyed
information is clear, concise, and engaging. One must navigate through the labyrinth of
structuring arguments, supporting evidence, and counterarguments while maintaining a coherent
narrative.
The difficulty intensifies as the essay writer grapples with the task of striking a balance between
objectivity and persuasive language. Debates often involve presenting contrasting viewpoints,
and capturing the essence of this duality without veering into bias requires finesse. The writer
must be adept at articulating ideas logically, anticipating potential counterarguments, and
skillfully rebutting them to fortify the essay's overall persuasiveness.
Additionally, there is a demand for thorough research to provide a robust foundation for
arguments. Striking the right chord between depth and accessibility is crucial, as a debate essay
should not only showcase the author's understanding of the topic but also be accessible to a
diverse audience.
Moreover, the challenge extends to maintaining an engaging and compelling tone throughout the
essay. Without a touch of creativity and rhetorical flair, the reader may find it challenging to stay
invested in the discussion.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the process of crafting a debate essay is a formidable task that
demands a blend of analytical skills, persuasive prowess, and effective communication. The
writer must navigate the complexities of argumentation, research, and rhetorical strategies to
create a piece that not only educates but captivates the reader.

Game Of Thrones Comparison Essay
The environment in A Game of Thrones has minor details that connect it to the War
of the Roses. However, it should be noted that many of these details were present
in the real world entire centuries before Game of Thrones, and so thus cannot
connect it too well. A fair enough regard.Yet the most damning element that
connects the two worlds has to be the people in both a Game of Thrones and the
War of the Roses itself. The first and most noteworthy of them being Ned Stark and
Richard of York. The similarities begin with their rank within the respective houses.
They are both the heads of their respective houses, Ned being the lord of the Starks
and Richard of the Yorks. Both also have close connections with their respective
kings and care for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although both of their heads do end up on the ends of pikes after their demise.
Cersei Baratheon, the Queen of Kings Landing in A Game of Thrones , is also
rather similar to that of her historical counterpart, Margaret of Anjou. The two
queens hold a similar level of ambition that could likely rival that of Macbeth, doing
whatever they possibly could to keep the throne from falling into anyone s hands
other than her owns. They both also give birth to rude spoiled children that would
meet their demise in their youth.Even in terms of physical appearances they are both
similar, as both are beautiful women with straight or curly blonde hair. If there is a
difference between them, it would be the way they control the throne. Throughout the
war, Margaret is constantly just behind the throne, never taking it herself since she is
not related to the Lancastrian family by blood. Cersei is no different, but she
actually does attain the Iron Throne of Westeros after her child s demise. On the
subject of that child, Edward of Westminster and Joffrey Baratheon also have
comparisons, but not as many similarities as the two
Why Launch an Advertising Campaign
Why Launch An Advertising Campaign
To start off, when your company is just becoming established in the British market,
consumers will have no knowledge of your product, we must encourage or persuade
the consumer to buy your product. To make customers aware of the product we must
advertise. Large scale advertising mainly consists of advertising on TV, Radio,
newspapers and other large scale media. This ensures that advertising reaches the
largest amount of people in the shortest amount of time. It is likely that the
consumer will be more interested in the product if they hear of on a national level
such as TV or Radio. We must watch out for other companies in Britain that sell a
similar product or overseas companies that sell in Britain so ... Show more content on

The only form mentioned that would not be suitable would be direct mailing, to
which the general public refer to a junk mail. The question arises whether you
would mail the children that are likely to want the product or whether to mail the
parents that would buy the product for their children. If you were to mail the
children then the parents could get very annoyed at the fact that you went directly
to the children instead of through their guardians. Although if you were to mail the
parents there would not be a very large chance that it would also reach the children,
who would be the driving force of the sale of the product. Sales promotion or
endorsements would be a good idea as this would ensure that more people heard
about the product and it would be more appealing if a well known children s
presenter was to endorse the product.
Branding
Multiple product branding would be the best idea for Pakanawa as with multiple
branding the firm is not always known as the same one and with Pakanawa s toys, the
different products under different brands could inhibit the sale of the other brands.
With multiple product branding the company would be recognised as selling all these
products and with a well established market this would benefit the company although
multiple branding has one advantage over this, if the company has had bad publicity,

The Suffrage Movement Of The United States
The suffrage movement has entailed a long history of fighting for equality. Many
organizations have developed, along with numerous campaigns and protests. The
suffrage movement in the United States has dated back to the early 1840 s. During
this time, Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton organized the Seneca Falls
Convention. Shortly after in 1951, Susan B. Anthonyjoined the two previously states
activists and they founded the Women s National Loyal League (WNLL) in the main
attempt to abolish slavery and gain full citizenship for African Americans and
women. Shortly after slavery was abolished, Anthony and Stanton formed the
National Women Suffrage Association (NWSA), in 1869. This was delegated as
being a more radical organization compared to the American Women Suffrage
Association, founded by Lucy Stone, Julia Ward Howe, and Josephine Ruffin.
However, by 1890 these two organizations decided they would be more effective if
they joined to form just one prominent organization: the National American Women
Suffrage Association (NAWSA) ( Women s Suffrage Movement ).
After several years of Stanton as president of NAWSA, Carrie Chapman Catt took
over this position in 1900 and served as president until 1904 and again in 1915
through 1926. Catt is said to be the driving force [behind] the organization ( Women s
Suffrage Movement ). During her time as president, she made multiple contributions
to encourage equality. According to Emily Droege, she quickly became recognized as

PSYCHOLOGICAL INDICATORS USED TO IDENTIFY TALENT AND
UNDERSTAND PEAK PERFORMANCE IN YOUTH FOOTBALL
INTRODUCTION
Maguire and Pearton(2000) define soccer as an achievement sport. This involves its
production on a global scale, its consumption by a global audience, and the utilization
of talent identification and development. Thus, Football academies have come up all
around the globe to identify talent in the sport. There are various reasons
organizations, coaches and sports scientists look to critically analyze the process of
talent identification in football, as it helps them to predict or identify characteristics
of successful athletes. It also helps coaches and clubs to plan and facilitate the proper
development of youth elite football players ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This led to the increase in player wage ,transfer fees and vast migrations of elite
football players. Thus it became essential for clubs and coaches to find the most
cost efficient way of acquiring elite athletes, while retaining the services of their
most talented players on a long term basis and balancing flow of new players so
that stability in performance of the team was not adversely affected (A. M.
Williams, 2000). The most cost effective way of identifying talent for clubs became
their youth academies, where they were able to identify and effectively develop
emerging youth elite athlete and early identification became important, as early
identification of future talent or elite performers would give any club or organization
a competitive edge over their competition (Morris, 2000). Talent identification and
peak performance are suggested to be interdependent areas of studies. It is suggested
talent can only be identified if the youth elite athlete is performing at their current
peak ,as it makes it easier for them to be identified by coaches and clubs, although
coaches and clubs analyze the peak performance of a youth athletes, intuitively .It is
also suggested that the talent identification process is

Hunter College and I, hold a familiar sight. Like Hunter College I admire the
diversity and Hunter s student body is diverse like New York itself. Diversity is
something that teaches society to excel at a higher altitude. Diversity gives people
a new mindset to erase all the narrow minded thoughts people have against each
other, as well as experiences. Experience s are what shape us into the person we are
today. They change a person s perspective and fade into memories, good or bad. My

Character Analysis Of Shylock In Venice
No one can argue that Shylock is one of the most complex and intriguing characters
ever created in literature. He has unique traits that make him who he is. Shylock is a
Jewish man in a majority Christian city named Venice. In the Middle Ages usury was
banned to Christians by the church and for that reason usuryor the illegal act of
lending money, was controlled by the Jews. Shylockwas one of the most prominent
moneylenders in Venice. However in the play Shylock is portrayed as an angry man
who is hated by the Venetians. They are not a fond of his angry mannerisms, despise
him for his religion, occupation, etc. No one can deny that Shylock is motivated by
money, but one can argue that he is also motivated by vengeance.... Show more

Anther example where Shylock fits his archetype perfectly is in Act IV, Scene 1.
As we know, Shylock is the antagonist in the play and as we know, all villains must
pay for their heinous actions eventually. In this scene Shylock is essentially
stripped of everything he owns. Half of his wealth must go to the city of Venice
while the other half ends up going to his daughter Jessica. While some might feel
bad for him at this moment, we must think of the saying what comes around goes
around. In Act III Shylock is merciless and refuses to take any form of payment in
exchange for Antonio. All he cares about is getting a pound of Antonio s flesh.
Keeping Antonio in a cell and essentially embarrassing him completely, even though
Antonio is on his knees begging for mercy, Shylock refuses to let go of what he
wants, the pound of flesh. Like Amanda Bailey says in her work Shylock and the
Slaves: Owing and Owing in The Merchant of Venice, Shylock sees the desperation
of an insolvent debtor [Antonio] (Bailey). He is merciless and essentially wants to
prove a point. However, this merciless act comes back to haunt Shylock when Portia
goes after him in court. In the end, Shylock loses and is miserable, something that
happens to all villains and antagonists. That s why he fits so perfectly with that
villain archetype. We spoke about how Shylock fits his archetype
Analysis Of The Campaign Game
Pg. 263 277
The Campaign Game
As a fun fact, the term campaign has its origins from the military as this was the
name given for when the general had a strategy towards accomplishing a big goal. o
The whole point of a campaign in politics is that the primary nominee must create
their own image of exemplary leadership and confidence so they gain more
supporters as Election Day grows closer and closer. o Technology also has started to
play a major role within the political system of the United States as a whole.
Back in the good old days, the way campaigns would work is that the primary
nominees would get their own train and travel the nation to speak and visit as
many people as they possibly could afford. o In today s world, the live television
broadcasts of the nominee s campaign is the primary way messages are spread to
majority of the nation. o This has a bad side to it though because this gives the
media too much power and the media then begins to influence who to vote for rather
than the candidates themselves. o In addition to this, the creation the World Wide
Web further increased the amount of dependency campaigns have upon technology.
o In fact, one of the very first things primary nominees take the time to do is create a
website so that the population are able to see their stance on all the primary issues
occurring.
The use of technology has also had a great impact upon the funding for these type of
campaigns. o Back when Obama was running, majority of
Diversity In New York City
What does New York offer its inhabitants? New York is a state where most of its
Inhabitants are immigrants. In fact, The Huff Post states, Over 37% of New York
City residents were born in another country..., A high record of 3.07 million foreign
born immigrants lives in New York City . What New York Cityoffers its inhabitants
is quite unique from other places. It also offers the ability to know about people
from other countries, it s full of diversity. It offers endless adventures to grow.
Furthermore, it offers the feeling of being in a neighborhood where you feel like
home.
The idea of the diversity in New York it sounds strange to me at the first, I doubt it.
At first, my idea was mundane because I get used to watching just one side of the
inhabitants, and it was the side of the Hispanic people. After, going to BMCC
everything changed. I started to see New York with new eyes and I started to learn
a lot about cultures, for example, the scarf that Muslim women wear, which its name
is hijab. Now, a quote who supports this is from the Garnette Cadogan eloquent
essay, Immigrants are central to the allure of the city. It s a truism the city repeats
endlessly to itself: Immigrants provide a rich diversity and cosmopolitan flavor that
awaken one s sense and enliven one s sense of identity. This is the idea that I really
feel empathy for him. It means that immigrants are important to New York City
because they represent the city. The incontrovertible truth that New York
Wealth and Happiness
Wealth and happiness
The human kind has always strived towards power, and wealth is one of the
necessities for those who want this power. However, nowadays many seek wealth,
because they want the freedom that money can grant, and thus become happier. Some
people tend overrate how much happier they will get by becoming rich. That leads to
the question: Can you buy happiness?
1.
In the first text, David Brooks tries to explain the correlation between wealth and
happiness. With Sandra Bullock s experience as an example, he tries to prove his
point that getting richer only will make you a little bit happier, as in the USA, where
the country has gotten a lot richer during the last 50 years, but not happier than
before. However, he does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another thing he does is giving his personal opinion: Nonetheless, if you had to take
more than three seconds to think about this question you are absolutely crazy . This
will either make us agree or disagree. No matter what it makes us think, maybe even
after we have read the article, and thus he has engaged us in the problem and the text.
3.
Whether spending money brings happiness or not, depends on the individual.
Many believe that getting rich will automatically make you happier. According to
Peter Singer, and his data from Science there is practically no correlation between
money and happiness. Moreover, he claims that rich people are spending more
time on activities, which are associated with negative feelings. This is probably
because of their job that might be more stressful and have more work hours, than
those who do not earn quite as much have. Although this might be a bad deal in the
short run, exchanging happiness for money. In the long run it can result in a
greater feeling of joy, than it would ever have been possible, by giving up on the
well paying, but stressful job, to live a more poor, but happier life. The Warren
Buffet incident is a perfect example. Not only thinking about the happiness he got
for himself, but also the millions of persons whose lives was improved or even saved
by Buffet.
In addition, when people have acquired a large amount of money, the way they spend
it can have an impact on how much happier they will become.
Cane River National Heritage Area
In this article, the author discusses the beginning of the Cane River National Heritage
Area. The article talks about how the different people came together. As time passed,
things changed. That area eventually turned into a place of tourism. The Cane River
National Heritage Area began in the Red River Valley, northwestern Louisiana. Many
cultures were coming together here to create their on way of life. They had the
farming lands, river, and each other to depend on. There were Creole plantations and
many American Indian settlements in this region. The river allowed them to trade
with the Natchitoches band of Caddo Indians. Countries began coming together
which led to the American Indians and European settlers working together. The

The leopardus pardalis, or the ocelot, also known as the dwarf leopard, has been
endangered since 1982 and is protected by the Endangered Species Act (FWS,
2010). Ocelots have been declared a federally endangered species (Tewes, 2001).
They are native to South and Central America as well as Mexico (FWS, 2010).
Texas is a far north as the wild cat has been found, but a few have been noted to
have lived in Arizona and Louisiana in the past (Campbell, 2003, Moore, 2013). A
feature that denotes it from other cats is the parallel striping descending down the
neck and above the eyes. It is a medium sized cat with body size resembling the
bobcat, weighing between 24 and 35 pounds when full grown (FWS, 2010).
The habitat ocelots require include thick, thorny shrub and deep, fertile clay or loamy
soils (Campbell, 2003). Humans cannot walk or see through the dense brush that
ocelots call home. The Ocelot once inhabited regions of Texas to include the
Edward s Plateau and Coastal Plain regions. Now they reside in the Cameron,
Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, San
Patricio, Starr, Willacy, and Zapata counties of Texas. Ocelots require about 95%
canopy coverage as well as thickness of shrubbery for habitat. Borderline habitats
have 75 95% canopy coverage. The types of soil required for growth of the best
coverage and habitat are also coveted by companies seeking to expand agriculture. An

his passing, Walmart has changed leadership. How has this change affected the

Reminding the entire company of what the firm s values are is how this can be

Major Issues in question Walton was a tremendous learner when it came to trends
and techniques. Walton embraced new technologies leading associates in accepting
his visions for a universal Walmart environment (Horrman, 1999). Sam Walton died
on April 5, 1992, but was active in the business until just a few months before his
death. On March 17, 1992, President George Bush called Walton an American
original who embodied the entrepreneurial spirit and epitomized the American
dream. Rob Walton replaced his father as chairman of the company, and Wal Mart
carried on without its original visionary leader (Chain Store Age, 1999). Sam
Walton s simple value formula was to have everyday low prices for the American
working class. Walton s formula exhibited the most basic traits of successful
leadership: A clear, easy to understand vision; constant communication of the vision
and consistent adherence to it. It was not until Walton s death at age 74 that
management of the company began to shift away from this formula of success. Sam
Walton s original visions was to make Walmart your local neighborhood store where
you could find whatever you needed for your home. Today Walmart is

Upon learning of his father s murder and the subsequent usurpation of the throne by
his uncle Claudius, the eponymous hero of William Shakespeare s Hamlet, prince of
Denmark, plots to personally avenge his death. At the beginning of the play, the
prince is mourning his late father and fails to come to terms with the remarriage of
his recently widowed mother to his recently crowned uncle. Hamletis informed of the
murder of his father at the end of the first act in which the ghostof his father appears
before him, discloses the events of Claudius crime and calls for the revenge of his
murder. The Ghost s appeal plays a crucial part in the plot as it generates a

Hamlet idealizes his late father, whom he likens to Greek gods and whom he
considers as so loving towards his mother (1.2.143 146). By contrast, the Ghost
portrays Claudius as an adulterer who has not only deprived a son of his father but
also who has taken his father s place as a husband to his mother. For instance, the
Ghost uses negative and incriminating adjectives such as that incestuous, that
adulterate beast (1.5.49), traitorous (1.5.50), shameful (1.5.53), wicked (1.5.51) to
describe Claudius and his actions. With these strong words, the Ghost aims to
denounce Claudius as a lustful and conniving seducer of Gertrude and thus calls upon
Hamlet s sense of duty as a son to defend his father s honor. The hissing of the above
mentioned serpent is further dramatized by the use of the alliteration so to seduce
(1.5.52) to emphasize the manipulative nature of the incestuous relationship.
Furthermore, by referring to Gertrude as a most seeming virtuous queen , the Ghost
suggests that Claudius has successfully corrupted her and that this may have occurred
before her husband s death. This constitutes another motivating factor for persuading
Hamlet to avenge his father s honor against his adulterous brother and wife. In
addition, in his mention of Gertrude s falling off (1.5.54), the Ghost considers her

Wireless LAN Benefits and Applications
INTRODUCTION
Wireless networking has numerous benefits. Productivity remarkably enhances due to
the higher accessibility to the information resource. Network configuration as well as
reconfiguration becomes easier, quicker, and overall less expensive. Nonetheless,
this technology also poses new threats as well as brings change in the already
existing profile of risk in the information security. Explaining this terminology, as we
all know that the communication occurs through the air utilizing the radio
frequencies, the inception risk are higher in comparison to the wired networks. In
case the messages are not encrypted, or just encrypted having a relatively weak
algorithm, then the attacker could very well read it, hence compromising the
confidentiality of the data. Though, the wireless networking changes the integrated
risks with the various threats towards the security, the objectives of overall security
remain all the same as they are with the wired networks: confidentiality preservation,
ensuring integrity as well as maintaining the availability of information including
information systems. This paper deals in assisting the concerned users of the wireless
technology in performing sound decisions by inculcating them along with the basic
understanding related to the some associated threats with the wireless networking as
well as their countermeasures.
The wide popularity of the wireless Networks is quite a testament relating primarily

Alcibiades In Plato s Symposium Essay
The Tragedy of Alcibiades in Plato s Symposium
In Symposium, a selection from The Dialogues of Plato, Plato uses historical
allusions to demonstrate Alcibiades frustration with both social expectations for the
phallus and his inability to meet these expectations. Alcibiades inability to have a
productive sexual relationship effectively castrates him and demonstrates the
impotence caused by an overemphasis on eroticism. The tragedy of Alcibiades is that
he realizes he is unable to gain virtue through sexual relationships and will therefore
be forced to remain mortal, yet he is unable to alter his condition.
Symposium is set during a festival for Dionysus, the goddess of fertility; this setting
emphasizes the sexual expectations of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Socrates attempts to justify homosexual relationships by quoting Diotima s
differentiation between heterosexual relationships ( those who are pregnant in terms
of their bodies and produce children) and homosexual relationships (those who are
pregnant in terms of the soul and produce prudence and the rest of virtue in their
partner) (Plato 271).2 This ideal of productivity in homosexual relationships is
realized by the lover passing knowledge and wisdom on to his beloved. Thus, Socrates
successfully justifies homosexual relationships; with this reasoning, he demonstrates
to the other partygoers that their homosexual relationships must be productive to be
justified.
Despite Alcibiades numerous male lovers (Crane),3 Plato portrays Alcibiades as
unable to realize any productive sexual relationship (Crane Plutarch)4 because he
fails to become the virtuous man that a productive relationship would have produced.
Alcibiades admits that he occasionally succumbs to the honor [he gets] from many.
Alcibiades is referring to the instances when, instead of spending time with Socrates,
he surrender[s] himself to the flatterers who [tempt] him with many pleasures (Crane
Plutarch). Alcibiades is prevented from having a productive sexual relationship by his
sexual urges and overemphasis on physical eroticism. Alcibiades

The Counter Reformation and Catholic Mass
Rising nationalism, the Western Schism, and even new philosophies arising from the
renaissance were contributing factors. But on October 31, 1517 every event prior
seemed less significant. On this date, Martin Luther nailed a paper listing ninety five
theses, all magnifying problems within the Catholic Church. This was the birth of the
protestant reformation, a major blow to the Catholic Churchand her followers. This
drove the church to make many in house adjustments, from religious orders to
political influences of the church, reworking the framework of the traditional Mass
itself and even restructuring many in house positions. This list of corrections made
and actions taken in response to the Protestant Reformation is commonly referred...

Alexander Farnese was positioned as Governor General of the Spanish Netherlands.
Farnese led a successful campaign against the Dutch Revolt, in capturing the main
cities in the south and returned them to the control of Catholic Spain. By the treaty of
Arras in 1579, he secured the support of southern Catholic nobles. Although this
treaty did not last forever, and the northern seven provinces eventually became free
and independent, forming the Dutch Republic, this was a victory for the Catholic
Church, seeing as the treaty lasted until the end of the reformation period.
To keep a solid foothold in both political and religious worlds, the Church believed
institutional reform was necessary. In 1545, Pope Paul III initiated the Council of
Trent, which lasted until 1564. In this council, a group of cardinals was assigned the
duty of addressing many controversial issues such as indulgences, corrupt priests and
bishops, and other financial abuses.
The council based itself off of the Medieval Church. All the way down to its
doctrine, sacramental systems, and religious orders. While this group reaffirmed the
traditional fundamentals, noticeable differences were visible. One correction that
made a visible difference was fixing the growing divide between clerics and the laity.
Clerics were commonly rural priests that did not know Latin and did not have proper
theological training. Whereas the laity were more educated in theology and
Reflection About Depression
Only a handful of people know this about me, however one year ago I was
diagnosed with moderate suicidal depression. Depression is a mental illness that
not only affects how you mentally perceive reality, it affects how your brain
processes and executes your actions as well. Depression has not only changed my
ways of contemplating my everyday complications , but it has changed my belief
about inner and self strength completely. Let me tell you, my depression is the
reason I am writing about my belief, in gaining strength from desperate times. Now,
I m 14 years young, and have lived in two different countries, one province, and
two states in a matter of two and a half years. Which is part of the reason why I am
a completely different person now. Moving is aggravating and exasperating for
really anyone who goes through it, but it has a whole other perspective when you are
a student in high school. Moving was upsetting and set my anxiety and depression
off like a firecracker, but at the same time it was an adventure that I was lucky to
have had. Why? Because it made me get out of the house and meet people. Sure, I
could have stayed inside and slept all summer, but then I might not have been here
typing this as of right now. Moving gave me strength by making me get out and find
new things and new people. My experience with depression turned my whole life
around. I didn t want anything to do with school, my family, or even myself. I didn t
understand how I would try so hard
8th Amendment Cons
In the Bill of rights it talks about the 1st amendment. The 1st amendment says ...or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the
press... which means that we have the right to say what we want and we don t
have to talk to the press. This impacts our lives today by not being limited on what
we can or can t say. The 3rd amendment says that no soldier can come into our
homes without our approval. This impacts U.S. today by giving us more freedom
and privacy. In the 8th amendment it talks about how Excessive bail shall not be
required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted .
What that is saying is high amounts of bail aren t aloud, if it s over a certain amount

The Importance Of A Cultural Framework That Is
Suitable...
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Budgets are very important part of business environment. They are considered to be
essential key drivers and evaluators for planning and control as well as managerial
performance since 1920 (Reka et al., 2014). This report aims to investigate how to
promote a cultural framework that is suitable for the modern dynamic business
environment. Firstly, it will explain the concept of budgetary control, It will then point
out advantages and disadvantages of the current traditional system and how some
weaknesses can be addressed by implementing Beyond Budgeting (BB) using
practical examples of organisations that have been successful and what were the
problems that they have encountered. It will also discuss why some organisations ...

2.2 Benefits of Traditional Budgeting
Budgeting is a management control technique that can be used as an early warning
system. Budgets are of great help as a support performance management (Pietrzak,
2013). It can provide a detailed information insight of the next fiscal year, which
allows managers to set performance objectives much more easily, make decisions
and plan ahead. For example: When recession hit Europe in 2008, Davis Service
Group was able to assess effects and was able to build new and accurate theories for
the remainder of 2008. By recognizing and handling risks, Davis has been able to
return profits, dividends and cash flow for shareholders in a challenging economic
environment.
Budgets generate a point of reference, making it easier for managers to accomplish
activities with stability. As long as managers can meet the set parameters, budgeting
and the use of budget cost centers provide them with the liberty to run their
operations (Neely at al., 2003).
Budgets are a great communication tool used when obtaining information about
company or e.g. activities of its competitors. They also help in expressing ideas,
goals and strategies of projects between team members/employees and outside
resources or potential investors, motivating employee to drive forward.
2.3 Drawbacks of Traditional Budgeting
To make budgets is a very long and time consuming process, when organisations are
trying to get reliable and

Johnny Appleseed Summary
A folklore tale I remember and enjoyed when I was younger was Johnny
Appleseed. Johnny Appleseed was a self sacrificing man as he spent most of the
entirety of his life assisting other people. He began his journey when he was just a
young man at the age of 18. Johnny sought out to plant Appleseed s throughout the
western colonialization in hopes of producing free food for anyone who needed it.
During his travels he had become very wealthy from the production and sales of
the many apple trees and land he would come in to possession of. He also
befriended many people, and these people would always welcome Jonny as their
family. Also, he made friends with many Indian tribes and the story tells that he was
so close to these tribes he became fluent
Summary Of Out Of The Dust By Karen Hesse
In the book Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse the author writes and describes the life
of a 14 year old struggling mentally because of multiple tragedies happening in her
life. This book shows the readers how Billie Jo the 14 year old overcomes all her
problems.
Billie Jo is a 14 year old who lives near Joyce City, Oklahoma located in the
Oklahoma Panhandle during the Great Depression. Billie Jo s family struggled
making good of their good situations. Billie Jo s father was a farmer and with the
multiple dust storms he found it hard to grow crops and revive them. Her mother
usually cleaned around the house while pregnant. That was also difficult because of
all the dust storms all over the house, so Billie helped while her mother rested due to

Case Study On Fiji Water
One of the slogans that Fiji water has used for their product is that every drop is
green but what does that really mean? People often get caught up by the idea of
being green but do not stop to think about what makes Fiji water or any water for
that matter green. In the year 2009 Fiji water faced a lawsuit from a Southern
California woman in a class action complaint that alleges
Case Study #1 3 the company s claim of having a carbon negative product to be false

methods. Fiji also uses the fact that their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Greenwashing has proven to be an effective tool for Fiji as it has brainwashed
consumers to believe that their water is green. I have seen the effects of Fiji s
greenwashing first hand from other individuals. There was a time when I was
with a friend who was drinking Fiji water. She had said that Fiji water is the best
water because they make it green and it taste better. I tasted the water but tasted no
difference than the water that I normally drink. I then had asked her what is it that
makes it so green and different but she could not explain it to me. We then got into
little argument as my claim was that the water is just the same as any other water.
Fiji has done a great job in marketing their water as they have made it possible for
consumers to pay more for water that in my mind is no different than tap water. Yes
the water from Fiji is natural but that does not mean that it is green. Water is a
natural resource that comes from many natural areas on our planet but drinking water
does not save the environment and does not make an individual green as Fiji
Stereotypes Of Women In Combat
Women in Combat
Becca Rhoades
Mifflin County High School Women in Combat
Even though many people stereotype women being in combat, it isn t fair that you
are stopping someone from doing what they love to do. Women can do things the
same way as men and it will open more job opportunities for women. Women should
have the same rights as anyone else. Would a man want to stand there and be
victimized because he is a male? What if men couldn t be in combat? Wouldn t that be
a sight to see? A man being told he cannot do what he is good at. Just like if a

(Facts on File, 2007). They own companies, are in professional sports and are in
the top levels of politics. (Facts on File, 2007). Almost one fifth of the military is
female, there are specific jobs that are not available to women. (Facts on File,
2007). For soldiers, women being in the military has been a common thing. But
females being in combat units is rare. Female soldiers deal with male soldiers
hassling them around about the fact. Women should be able to have the same
rights as men do. Just because we are more sensitive and emotional . The men need
us. Women overseas are more willing to talk to a female that can relate to them
more than a mean guy trying to get information. I wouldn t want a big guy in green
coming towards me, wanting me to willingly give up anything I might know.
Women in the military work as translators, nurses, clerks and telephone operators,
but none of us really work at what we want. (Facts on File, 2007). Yes, when you
join the military, you take an ASVAB test. You get a list of jobs that are available
to you, it happens to men and women. But a women s list is way smaller than a
males list. A women doesn t have infantry at the top of their list. Women now are
serving in the same jobs as most women did in World War I. (Facts on File, 2007).
During World War II, women started working as pilots, but none of those women
flew in any type of combat mission. (Facts on File, 2007). During the Vietnam War,
more women were able to join, only because 50,000 men died and they needed
more people. (Facts on File, 2007). During the Persian Gulf War, 35,000 of the
soldiers were female, out of the half of a million. (Facts on File, 2007). After the
gulf war, the Defense Secretary Les Aspin ordered military to open some combat
pilot positions and careers on the surface of Navy ships. (Facts on File, 2007). They
never let women in submarines though. (Facts on File,

example, I concurrently completed two experimental learning opportunities that
infused critical theories into my reading, writing, dialectic exchanges, and practice:
an Independent Study on Critical Perspectives in Libraryand Information Studies and
a Library Instruction Practicum at Georgetown University s Lauinger Library. I have
also pursued two cognate courses in Catholic s MSW and MA Sociologyprograms:

Essay about Analysis of Media Devices in The Italian Job
Analysis of Media Devices in The Italian Job
Both films show an insight into technology; the modern version is more
technologically advanced. All this is due to the availability of technology in the two
eras. Donald Sutherland known as John Bridger in the later version of the film uses
a mobile phone and whilst carrying out the mission the use of infer red devices,
laptops and other technology is also significantly used. In contrast to this the 1969
version Michael Cain gets the main idea from the slideshow left by Beckerman. Also
whilst Seth Green hacks into the traffic network system in the 2003 version the tapes
are manually switched in the previous edition. The technology element is effective ...

In spite of the brilliant use of music and sound effects, spectator s debate there was a
lot of stereotyping in the two films. In the Italian Job 2003, Mark Wahlbergstarring as
Charlie the leading character, who plans a mission without the use of a gun is
typical stereotyping, John Bridger pulls out of retirement for one last job and in
addition to this Stella a beautiful blond woman who ran a legal business is suddenly
talked into helping avenge her father s death by coming in on the revenge heist.
This same norm is used in the 1969 Italian Job but in different ways, all the blonde
girls as bimbos falling at the feet of Cain. The effectiveness is genuinely moral but it
seems unrealistic especially in the modern era because the similar releases contain a
lot of stereotyping i.e. Oceans Eleven carry out a robbery with no gun in three
biggest casinos in Los Angels.
In contrast to stereotyping the editing was a major media device of the film. The
editing links up quite well with pace, an excellent example is when in the
contemporary Italian Job there s a speedboat chase, and the scenes keeps alternating
between the cracking of the safe in a calm, quiet environment underwater and on the
other hand a mirror reflection were the Italian Mafiosi are shouting and

ABSTRACT
Inflation risk is very virtual to the non life insurance companies as it has immerse
impact on the claim reserving. This study focuses on modelling of the claim inflation
risk based on data provided by APA automobile insurance. The aim is to show
empirically the impact of inflation on claim reserving and more so to model the claim
inflation which help in predicting such future uncertainty.
I will use multiple linear regression model to fit all drivers of claim inflation to
obtain a linear relationship using claim inflation as dependent variable. I ll also use
ARIMA model to forecast the future claim inflation in relative to the past values of
claim inflation.

Education Act Of 1944 And The Beginning Of The
National...
Education in Great Britain has always been a hot topic for discussion and over the
years the education system has undergone many changes. This has been down to the
political party in power at the time, pressures of a changing society and the
subsequent rise and fall of the national economy. The purpose of this essay is to look
at how these factors have affected and developed secondary educationin Great Britain
starting with a brief overview of the pre 1900 s. Moving through the years in
chronological order, the essay will consider various Education Acts and reports, the
effect of two World Wars and the controversial Butler Education Act of 1944 when the
tripartite systemwas introduced. Prior to 1900 secondary education was virtually
non existent, the consensus view at that time was that secondary education was
only for boys of the middle and upper classes. The few schools available were fee
paying and therefore only an option to those who could afford them. This fuelled
the gap in social status and in the opinion of Marxists kept the lower classes in their
place so as not to disrupt the economic and social balance. In the 1860 s there were
no grammar schools for girls, however due to a slight change in the views of
society by 1900 eighty girls schools had been created (Stephens, 1998). The 1870 s
saw the development of some of higher grade schools, these had a scientific and
technical bias and grants were provided for those whose pupils were successful in the

Greek And The Modern Culture Of The Ancient Greek
Culture
There are a couple of ways in which a given cultural period has influenced the
modern world. In my opinion if you look at today compared to the Ancient Greece
time period looking back about 2500 years ago a lot of things they have created
and started evolved into great things for an example. Sports and the Olympics,
Architecture, and even the Greek arts. I personally feel like these subjects hit home
when we are talking about influential changes from the past to todays culture. You
actually might just be as surprised finding out some of this information just like me.
You might be surprised but although looking back about 2500 years ago they also
played sports just like we do to this day. As a matter of fact the Ancient Greeks were
the inventors of the Olympics believe it or not the Olympics has been around for that
long. Although it was a little different back then. The ancient Olympic Gameswere
initially a one day event until 684 BC, when they were extended to three days. In the
5th century B.C., the Games were extended again to cover five days. The ancient
Games included running, long jump, shot put, javelin, boxing, pankration and
equestrian events. (Olympic.org). They even often performed nude to demonstrate
the performance of the human body. (mindmeister.com) . The running contest
included the Stade race (200m foot race) , The Diaulos (two stades 400m foot race)
, Dolichos ( ranging between 7and 24 stades). The next event was the jumping
Athletes used stone or lead weights called halteres to increase the distance of a
jump. They held onto the weights until the end of their flight, and then jettisoned
them backwards. (Olympic.org). There s also boxing and wrestling which is still
like modern days boxing and wrestling. But with the both were way more brutal
boxers back then would sometimes even disfigure there own opponents. Wrestling
matches would not stop until there opponent admitting call for defeat. As you can
tell our modern day Olympics have grew but the start has come from the ancient
Greek. Who would have know ? That a couple of games would turn into something
as big as the Olympics that today brings the best from all around the world to
participate in these following events that

Hover Tank B-1 Research Paper
The Blades of the Prince have just released new details about the next line of their
famed Hover Tanks. Meant to replace the older Hover Tank A 3, the new Hover
Tank B 1 is a departure from the old design philosophy of direct battlefield
awareness embodied by the extensive use of transparisteel in the A 3. The B 1
addresses several flaws that became apparent after extensive use and testing.
Blades Engineers explained that the Hover TankA 3s total redesign was necessary, as
the current main tank was limited in its upgrade potential. Dai Los Naiad Bernard,
redesign program executive officer for Infantry Combat Systems, told BSNN, A lot
of theoretical model building went into the Hover Tank B 1. It wasn t enough to
simply fix problems; we needed
Espn Case Study Analysis
To what extent are ESPN subscribers committed to the ESPN network and brand
compared to on the air talent on the network?
It s no secret that ESPN has lost a multitude of popular sports broadcasters over the
last few years. Many have joined FOX Sports, after being unable to come to terms
with ESPN s contract deals. These personalities include big names such as, Colin
Cowherd, Jason Whitlock, Skip Bayless, Shannon Spake and Chris Broussard.
Although moving forward without these reporters will save the company money, one
must consider how these transitions are impacting ESPN s viewership. Colin
Cowherd was with ESPN radio since 2003 until Fox Sports outbid ESPN in a $6
million deal. Skip Bayless also decided to jump ship this past April. According to
Forbes, Bayless signed a $26 million deal which included $5 million annually and a
$4 million bonus. Bayless teamed up with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
addressed the articles that claimed ESPN being a dying ship. He went on to say
yes ESPN has cut some employees, employees have left, and the ratings have gone
down but so has their competitors . He elaborated, ESPN has made $5.9 billion in
the third quarter and the ratings are in the millions while Fox Sports 1 ratings are
in the high hundreds of thousands. He went on to mention Fox Sports Jamie
Horowitz, who bashes his former employer, ESPN, every chance he gets. Pelt says
Horowitz shouldn t be saying ESPN numbers are low when Cowherd and Jason
Whitlock show Speak for Yourself, on FS1 received 50,000 viewers
(Washingtonpost).
I had spoken to sociologist Pierre Saint Pierre, who mentioned that people can t
afford cable anymore. This is the main reason why subscriptions for ESPN has
decreased. Due to their current cable systems contracts, ESPN can t do what WWE
did, which was: create their own video streaming service network. Some people may
be willing to purchase an ESPN only service, but at what
Example Of Adversity In Bravery
Bravery As a person on this earth we all face adversity everyday whether you know
it or not. These two stories demonstrate Adversity really well. The first story is The
Most Dangerous Game. (Connell) The second Story is The Sniper. (O Flaherty) In
The Most Dangerous Game a man gets stranded on a island. He then finds a house
on this island in the middle of nowhere and there is this man there. He is a skilled
hunter like the man stranded, he invites him in for dinner and for huntingstories. He
then reveals that he has killed every animal there is and now he hunts humans. In The
Sniper. There is a sniper and he is getting shot by a enemy sniper. The enemy sniper
hits him in the shoulder. He then puts his helmet on top of barrel of his gun. The
enemy sniper shoots his helmet he then throws his body on a barrier. The enemy
sniper puts his weapon down and then he get shot by the other sniper. The Sniper
goes to check on his kill and it turns out he killed his brother. There is one major
quality you need to overcome adversity and that is Bravery. Bravery is a very
important quality because when adversity hits you you need to be brave enough to
conquer it. This quote from The Sniper will give an example of bravery Taking off
his cap, he placed it over the muzzle of his rifle. Then he pushed the rifle slowly
upward over the parapet, until the cap was visible from the opposite side of the
street. Almost immediately there was a report, and a bullet pierced the centre of
Software Developing For A Health Data Analytics System
Software Developing for a Health Data Analytics System This essay will demonstrate
the different stages and methods required to construct a software system for a health
care analytics system. This system must be able to take an input of patient s data and
be able to give an accurate output for the method of treatment, this will support an
expert s final decision. These real time systems are active knowledge systems, which
use two or more items of patient data to generate case specific advice. The
development of software is formulated in several stages this includes: Requirements,
software design, implementation, testing and integration and the operation and
maintenance. The first stage in developing this software is the requirements... Show

Other issues must be brought into consideration such as: How large will the
networked system be? Who will use the system? Many questions like these must
be addressed to collect information about how we will answer these questions we
can investigate the current system using multiple collection methods. A
questionnaire could be produced to quiz current staff about how effective the
current system s features are, and we could ask for the flaws in the current system
to ensure the new health care analytics system fixes these problems. Another
method of investigation is to look at staff logs and work patterns so we can adapt
our system around how the doctors work. From all of the information we collect
from monitoring the users we must collate this to form a specification so that the
developers of the system know what guidelines to work from. This will prevent
any mistakes from being made and give a foundation for the structure of the
system, more technical details such as the processing power and the network
speeds will also need to be determined to find the correct hardware required so the
company can be cost efficient. The next stage in the process is the software design
phase, this is the part of the development where the software s structure will be
created in many aspects, here we will draw out the network and decide whether it
will be a LAN (Local area network) or a WAN (Wide area network) this depends on
if this system will be used over different branches of
Theme Of Resilience In Defending Jacob
Resilience is defined as the quality that allows people to be knocked down and
come back stronger than ever. Resilience is demonstrated throughout the novel
Defending Jacob by William Landay, and the ancillary texts If by Rudyard Kipling,
and The Third and Final Continent by Jhumpa Lahiri though different literary
devices. The similar conflicts of Defending Jacob and Third and Final Continent
help develop a theme of resilience throughout the stories. Another literary device that
helps to show this theme in Defending Jacob and If is point of view. Finally, the
theme is displayed once more in the novel and Third and Final Continent through the
use of characterization. The theme of keeping one s head through troubled times and
not giving up is developed through the use of conflict, point of view, and
characterization in Defending Jacob, If , and The Third and Final Continent . Both
William Landay and Jhumpa Lahiri use conflicts in their stories to demonstrate the
theme of resilience and perseverance. William Landay uses the conflict of Andy s
belief in his son and Lahiri uses the narrators will to be successful as those characters
motivation to continue working for what they believe in. Andy and Laurie s visit
to Dr. Vogel shows the beginning of a conflict in Defending Jacob. So? So what
does shoplifting have to do with murder? What s the difference if he took a candy
bar or something from CVS? What on Earth does that have to do with Ben Rifkin
being brutally stabbed to death? (Landay 146). Andy Barber never once stops
believing that his son is innocent, even after this leads to fights with Laurie and
could potentially lead to divorce. However he fights for Jacob and he knows they
will get through the trial. While Andy Barber s conflict and perseverance is more
mental, the narrator of The Third and Final Continent has a more physical conflict he
must overcome. The theme of resilience is also developed in this text when the
narrator is telling his son about his life at the end of the story. Whenever he is
discouraged, I tell him that if I can survive on three continents, then there is no
obstacle he cannot conquer (Lahiri). These words of wisdom demonstrate resilience
because the

91.7% of the words shown in the recognition task that were from the original lists. I
also falsely remembered 16.7% of words that were not originally shown, but were
related. Fortunately, I did not falsely remember any words (0%) that were not
originally shown or related to the words in the original list. My data showed that
my performance on the false memory task was better than the reference data. Not
only did I have far fewer false memories of items related to the list items (16.7%
compared to 75%), but I also remembered more of the original list items (91.7%
compared to 88%), and I did not falsely remember any unrelated words (0%

Jaundice In Newborns
Premature infants come into this world with lots of risks due to the fact that they are
susceptible to so many different diseases. As premature births increase and the
climbing number of mothers that are breastfeeding rise, the amount of infants that are
developing jaundice continue to climb as well. Jaundice starts with an infantthat has
the inability to regulate the amount of red blood cells breaking down, other wise
known as bilirubin. If the body produces too much bilirubin in the blood it is then
referred to as hyperbilirubinemia. Some babies, especially newborns, do not have the
ability to breakdown and excrete bilirubin properly, thus, creating a build up in their
blood and surrounding tissues. As a result, bilirubin, having a natural... Show more

Several different types of treatments include phototherapy, fiberoptic blanket, and
exchange transfusion. Researchers over the years have looked into finding how
phototherapy actually works. Several researchers conducted a study that looked
into the influence of light on the hyperbilirubinemia of infants, they found that,
The effect of light on jaundice in neonates, and the ability of light to decrease
serum bilirubin levels, was first described by Cremer et al in 1958 (Cremer).
Phototherapy is a process that takes light and uses it to manipulate bilirubin
molecules in hopes to turn it into something more soluble like water to be excreted
by the body. William Cashore, MD wrote an article going over exactly what
jaundice is. He wrote, The bilirubin levels treated with effective doses of
phototherapy should decline to acceptable levels within 12 24 hours (Cashore, 154).
The prognosis for an infant with jaundice is extremely good when they are treated
at the right time with the correct treatment. The importance of knowing the
symptoms like, yellowing of the skin, excessive crying, or abnormal behavior can
help save a child s life. The types of treatment can be tedious but they are helpful in
reducing the risk for further complications. Women should be aware of neonatal
jaundice and there child s level of bilirubin in his or her

  • 2. Game Of Thrones Comparison Essay The environment in A Game of Thrones has minor details that connect it to the War of the Roses. However, it should be noted that many of these details were present in the real world entire centuries before Game of Thrones, and so thus cannot connect it too well. A fair enough regard.Yet the most damning element that connects the two worlds has to be the people in both a Game of Thrones and the War of the Roses itself. The first and most noteworthy of them being Ned Stark and Richard of York. The similarities begin with their rank within the respective houses. They are both the heads of their respective houses, Ned being the lord of the Starks and Richard of the Yorks. Both also have close connections with their respective kings and care for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although both of their heads do end up on the ends of pikes after their demise. Cersei Baratheon, the Queen of Kings Landing in A Game of Thrones , is also rather similar to that of her historical counterpart, Margaret of Anjou. The two queens hold a similar level of ambition that could likely rival that of Macbeth, doing whatever they possibly could to keep the throne from falling into anyone s hands other than her owns. They both also give birth to rude spoiled children that would meet their demise in their youth.Even in terms of physical appearances they are both similar, as both are beautiful women with straight or curly blonde hair. If there is a difference between them, it would be the way they control the throne. Throughout the war, Margaret is constantly just behind the throne, never taking it herself since she is not related to the Lancastrian family by blood. Cersei is no different, but she actually does attain the Iron Throne of Westeros after her child s demise. On the subject of that child, Edward of Westminster and Joffrey Baratheon also have comparisons, but not as many similarities as the two

Why Launch an Advertising Campaign Why Launch An Advertising Campaign To start off, when your company is just becoming established in the British market, consumers will have no knowledge of your product, we must encourage or persuade the consumer to buy your product. To make customers aware of the product we must advertise. Large scale advertising mainly consists of advertising on TV, Radio, newspapers and other large scale media. This ensures that advertising reaches the largest amount of people in the shortest amount of time. It is likely that the consumer will be more interested in the product if they hear of on a national level such as TV or Radio. We must watch out for other companies in Britain that sell a similar product or overseas companies that sell in Britain so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The only form mentioned that would not be suitable would be direct mailing, to which the general public refer to a junk mail. The question arises whether you would mail the children that are likely to want the product or whether to mail the parents that would buy the product for their children. If you were to mail the children then the parents could get very annoyed at the fact that you went directly to the children instead of through their guardians. Although if you were to mail the parents there would not be a very large chance that it would also reach the children, who would be the driving force of the sale of the product. Sales promotion or endorsements would be a good idea as this would ensure that more people heard about the product and it would be more appealing if a well known children s presenter was to endorse the product. Branding Multiple product branding would be the best idea for Pakanawa as with multiple branding the firm is not always known as the same one and with Pakanawa s toys, the different products under different brands could inhibit the sale of the other brands. With multiple product branding the company would be recognised as selling all these products and with a well established market this would benefit the company although multiple branding has one advantage over this, if the company has had bad publicity, with

Many organizations have developed, along with numerous campaigns and protests. The suffrage movement in the United States has dated back to the early 1840 s. During this time, Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton organized the Seneca Falls Convention. Shortly after in 1951, Susan B. Anthonyjoined the two previously states activists and they founded the Women s National Loyal League (WNLL) in the main attempt to abolish slavery and gain full citizenship for African Americans and women. Shortly after slavery was abolished, Anthony and Stanton formed the National Women Suffrage Association (NWSA), in 1869. This was delegated as being a more radical organization compared to the American Women Suffrage Association, founded by Lucy Stone, Julia Ward Howe, and Josephine Ruffin. However, by 1890 these two organizations decided they would be more effective if they joined to form just one prominent organization: the National American Women Suffrage Association (NAWSA) ( Women s Suffrage Movement ). After several years of Stanton as president of NAWSA, Carrie Chapman Catt took over this position in 1900 and served as president until 1904 and again in 1915 through 1926. Catt is said to be the driving force [behind] the organization ( Women s Suffrage Movement ). During her time as president, she made multiple contributions to encourage equality. According to Emily Droege, she quickly became recognized as

Soccer Pest Analysis PSYCHOLOGICAL INDICATORS USED TO IDENTIFY TALENT AND UNDERSTAND PEAK PERFORMANCE IN YOUTH FOOTBALL INTRODUCTION Maguire and Pearton(2000) define soccer as an achievement sport. This involves its production on a global scale, its consumption by a global audience, and the utilization of talent identification and development. Thus, Football academies have come up all around the globe to identify talent in the sport. There are various reasons organizations, coaches and sports scientists look to critically analyze the process of talent identification in football, as it helps them to predict or identify characteristics of successful athletes. It also helps coaches and clubs to plan and facilitate the proper development of youth elite football players ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This led to the increase in player wage ,transfer fees and vast migrations of elite football players. Thus it became essential for clubs and coaches to find the most cost efficient way of acquiring elite athletes, while retaining the services of their most talented players on a long term basis and balancing flow of new players so that stability in performance of the team was not adversely affected (A. M. Williams, 2000). The most cost effective way of identifying talent for clubs became their youth academies, where they were able to identify and effectively develop emerging youth elite athlete and early identification became important, as early identification of future talent or elite performers would give any club or organization a competitive edge over their competition (Morris, 2000). Talent identification and peak performance are suggested to be interdependent areas of studies. It is suggested talent can only be identified if the youth elite athlete is performing at their current peak ,as it makes it easier for them to be identified by coaches and clubs, although coaches and clubs analyze the peak performance of a youth athletes, intuitively .It is also suggested that the talent identification process is

Diversity is something that teaches society to excel at a higher altitude. Diversity gives people a new mindset to erase all the narrow minded thoughts people have against each other, as well as experiences. Experience s are what shape us into the person we are today. They change a person s perspective and fade into memories, good or bad. My parents are immigrants from Pakistan so life was not easy in the kickoff. I remember we didn t have ample money for foodso we would suffice with eating popcorn for dinner on most nights, and dipping bread in milk for breakfast jumpstarted our day. Looking at how much my parents progressed inspired me and made me realize that this country is made for dreams to come true. I was the oldest so my parents put a lot of effort in me. They taught me to be creative and remember my roots. I was a very confident kid and would be full of life until I graduated fifth grade. My first step was volunteering to change her bandages and measure the amount of blood coming out of the drain tubes and then making a report to the doctor so he can see how fast she is healing. After doing that I was driven by wanting to follow this profession at all
  • 7. Character Analysis Of Shylock In Venice No one can argue that Shylock is one of the most complex and intriguing characters ever created in literature. He has unique traits that make him who he is. Shylock is a Jewish man in a majority Christian city named Venice. In the Middle Ages usury was banned to Christians by the church and for that reason usuryor the illegal act of lending money, was controlled by the Jews. Shylockwas one of the most prominent moneylenders in Venice. However in the play Shylock is portrayed as an angry man who is hated by the Venetians. They are not a fond of his angry mannerisms, despise him for his religion, occupation, etc. No one can deny that Shylock is motivated by money, but one can argue that he is also motivated by vengeance.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anther example where Shylock fits his archetype perfectly is in Act IV, Scene 1. As we know, Shylock is the antagonist in the play and as we know, all villains must pay for their heinous actions eventually. In this scene Shylock is essentially stripped of everything he owns. Half of his wealth must go to the city of Venice while the other half ends up going to his daughter Jessica. While some might feel bad for him at this moment, we must think of the saying what comes around goes around. In Act III Shylock is merciless and refuses to take any form of payment in exchange for Antonio. All he cares about is getting a pound of Antonio s flesh. Keeping Antonio in a cell and essentially embarrassing him completely, even though Antonio is on his knees begging for mercy, Shylock refuses to let go of what he wants, the pound of flesh. Like Amanda Bailey says in her work Shylock and the Slaves: Owing and Owing in The Merchant of Venice, Shylock sees the desperation of an insolvent debtor [Antonio] (Bailey). He is merciless and essentially wants to prove a point. However, this merciless act comes back to haunt Shylock when Portia goes after him in court. In the end, Shylock loses and is miserable, something that happens to all villains and antagonists. That s why he fits so perfectly with that villain archetype. We spoke about how Shylock fits his archetype
  • 8. Analysis Of The Campaign Game Pg. 263 277 The Campaign Game As a fun fact, the term campaign has its origins from the military as this was the name given for when the general had a strategy towards accomplishing a big goal. o The whole point of a campaign in politics is that the primary nominee must create their own image of exemplary leadership and confidence so they gain more supporters as Election Day grows closer and closer. o Technology also has started to play a major role within the political system of the United States as a whole. Back in the good old days, the way campaigns would work is that the primary nominees would get their own train and travel the nation to speak and visit as many people as they possibly could afford. o In today s world, the live television broadcasts of the nominee s campaign is the primary way messages are spread to majority of the nation. o This has a bad side to it though because this gives the media too much power and the media then begins to influence who to vote for rather than the candidates themselves. o In addition to this, the creation the World Wide Web further increased the amount of dependency campaigns have upon technology. o In fact, one of the very first things primary nominees take the time to do is create a website so that the population are able to see their stance on all the primary issues occurring. The use of technology has also had a great impact upon the funding for these type of campaigns. o Back when Obama was running, majority of
  • 9. Diversity In New York City What does New York offer its inhabitants? New York is a state where most of its Inhabitants are immigrants. In fact, The Huff Post states, Over 37% of New York City residents were born in another country..., A high record of 3.07 million foreign born immigrants lives in New York City . What New York Cityoffers its inhabitants is quite unique from other places. It also offers the ability to know about people from other countries, it s full of diversity. It offers endless adventures to grow. Furthermore, it offers the feeling of being in a neighborhood where you feel like home. The idea of the diversity in New York it sounds strange to me at the first, I doubt it. At first, my idea was mundane because I get used to watching just one side of the inhabitants, and it was the side of the Hispanic people. After, going to BMCC everything changed. I started to see New York with new eyes and I started to learn a lot about cultures, for example, the scarf that Muslim women wear, which its name is hijab. Now, a quote who supports this is from the Garnette Cadogan eloquent essay, Immigrants are central to the allure of the city. It s a truism the city repeats endlessly to itself: Immigrants provide a rich diversity and cosmopolitan flavor that awaken one s sense and enliven one s sense of identity. This is the idea that I really feel empathy for him. It means that immigrants are important to New York City because they represent the city. The incontrovertible truth that New York
  • 10. Wealth and Happiness Wealth and happiness The human kind has always strived towards power, and wealth is one of the necessities for those who want this power. However, nowadays many seek wealth, because they want the freedom that money can grant, and thus become happier. Some people tend overrate how much happier they will get by becoming rich. That leads to the question: Can you buy happiness? 1. In the first text, David Brooks tries to explain the correlation between wealth and happiness. With Sandra Bullock s experience as an example, he tries to prove his point that getting richer only will make you a little bit happier, as in the USA, where the country has gotten a lot richer during the last 50 years, but not happier than before. However, he does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another thing he does is giving his personal opinion: Nonetheless, if you had to take more than three seconds to think about this question you are absolutely crazy . This will either make us agree or disagree. No matter what it makes us think, maybe even after we have read the article, and thus he has engaged us in the problem and the text. 3. Whether spending money brings happiness or not, depends on the individual. Many believe that getting rich will automatically make you happier. According to Peter Singer, and his data from Science there is practically no correlation between money and happiness. Moreover, he claims that rich people are spending more time on activities, which are associated with negative feelings. This is probably because of their job that might be more stressful and have more work hours, than those who do not earn quite as much have. Although this might be a bad deal in the short run, exchanging happiness for money. In the long run it can result in a greater feeling of joy, than it would ever have been possible, by giving up on the well paying, but stressful job, to live a more poor, but happier life. The Warren Buffet incident is a perfect example. Not only thinking about the happiness he got for himself, but also the millions of persons whose lives was improved or even saved by Buffet. In addition, when people have acquired a large amount of money, the way they spend it can have an impact on how much happier they will become.

As time passed, things changed. That area eventually turned into a place of tourism. The Cane River National Heritage Area began in the Red River Valley, northwestern Louisiana. Many cultures were coming together here to create their on way of life. They had the farming lands, river, and each other to depend on. There were Creole plantations and many American Indian settlements in this region. The river allowed them to trade with the Natchitoches band of Caddo Indians. Countries began coming together which led to the American Indians and European settlers working together. The Europeans

Ocelots have been declared a federally endangered species (Tewes, 2001). They are native to South and Central America as well as Mexico (FWS, 2010). Texas is a far north as the wild cat has been found, but a few have been noted to have lived in Arizona and Louisiana in the past (Campbell, 2003, Moore, 2013). A feature that denotes it from other cats is the parallel striping descending down the neck and above the eyes. It is a medium sized cat with body size resembling the bobcat, weighing between 24 and 35 pounds when full grown (FWS, 2010). The habitat ocelots require include thick, thorny shrub and deep, fertile clay or loamy soils (Campbell, 2003). Humans cannot walk or see through the dense brush that ocelots call home. The Ocelot once inhabited regions of Texas to include the Edward s Plateau and Coastal Plain regions. Now they reside in the Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, San Patricio, Starr, Willacy, and Zapata counties of Texas. Walton embraced new technologies leading associates in accepting his visions for a universal Walmart environment (Horrman, 1999). Sam Walton died on April 5, 1992, but was active in the business until just a few months before his death. On March 17, 1992, President George Bush called Walton an American original who embodied the entrepreneurial spirit and epitomized the American dream. Rob Walton replaced his father as chairman of the company, and Wal Mart carried on without its original visionary leader (Chain Store Age, 1999). Sam Walton s simple value formula was to have everyday low prices for the American working class. The Ghost In Shakespeare s Hamlet Upon learning of his father s murder and the subsequent usurpation of the throne by his uncle Claudius, the eponymous hero of William Shakespeare s Hamlet, prince of Denmark, plots to personally avenge his death. At the beginning of the play, the prince is mourning his late father and fails to come to terms with the remarriage of his recently widowed mother to his recently crowned uncle. Hamletis informed of the murder of his father at the end of the first act in which the ghostof his father appears before him, discloses the events of Claudius crime and calls for the revenge of his murder. The Ghost s appeal plays a crucial part in the plot as it generates a complication for the main character that will guide his actions and his thoughts... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hamlet idealizes his late father, whom he likens to Greek gods and whom he considers as so loving towards his mother (1.2.143 146). By contrast, the Ghost portrays Claudius as an adulterer who has not only deprived a son of his father but also who has taken his father s place as a husband to his mother. For instance, the Ghost uses negative and incriminating adjectives such as that incestuous, that adulterate beast (1.5.49), traitorous (1.5.50), shameful (1.5.53), wicked (1.5.51) to describe Claudius and his actions. With these strong words, the Ghost aims to denounce Claudius as a lustful and conniving seducer of Gertrude and thus calls upon Hamlet s sense of duty as a son to defend his father s honor. The hissing of the above mentioned serpent is further dramatized by the use of the alliteration so to seduce (1.5.52) to emphasize the manipulative nature of the incestuous relationship. Furthermore, by referring to Gertrude as a most seeming virtuous queen , the Ghost suggests that Claudius has successfully corrupted her and that this may have occurred before her husband s death. This constitutes another motivating factor for persuading Hamlet to avenge his father s honor against his adulterous brother and wife. In addition, in his mention of Gertrude s falling off (1.5.54), the Ghost considers her relationship

Network configuration as well as reconfiguration becomes easier, quicker, and overall less expensive. Nonetheless, this technology also poses new threats as well as brings change in the already existing profile of risk in the information security. Explaining this terminology, as we all know that the communication occurs through the air utilizing the radio frequencies, the inception risk are higher in comparison to the wired networks. In case the messages are not encrypted, or just encrypted having a relatively weak algorithm, then the attacker could very well read it, hence compromising the confidentiality of the data. Though, the wireless networking changes the integrated risks with the various threats towards the security, the objectives of overall security remain all the same as they are with the wired networks: confidentiality preservation, ensuring integrity as well as maintaining the availability of information including information systems. This paper deals in assisting the concerned users of the wireless technology in performing sound decisions by inculcating them along with the basic understanding related to the some associated threats with the wireless networking as well as their countermeasures. The wide popularity of the wireless Networks is quite a testament relating primarily to their conveniences, cost

Alcibiades In Plato s Symposium Essay The Tragedy of Alcibiades in Plato s Symposium In Symposium, a selection from The Dialogues of Plato, Plato uses historical allusions to demonstrate Alcibiades frustration with both social expectations for the phallus and his inability to meet these expectations. Alcibiades inability to have a productive sexual relationship effectively castrates him and demonstrates the impotence caused by an overemphasis on eroticism. The tragedy of Alcibiades is that he realizes he is unable to gain virtue through sexual relationships and will therefore be forced to remain mortal, yet he is unable to alter his condition. Socrates attempts to justify homosexual relationships by quoting Diotima s differentiation between heterosexual relationships ( those who are pregnant in terms of their bodies and produce children) and homosexual relationships (those who are pregnant in terms of the soul and produce prudence and the rest of virtue in their partner) (Plato 271).2 This ideal of productivity in homosexual relationships is realized by the lover passing knowledge and wisdom on to his beloved. Thus, Socrates successfully justifies homosexual relationships; with this reasoning, he demonstrates to the other partygoers that their homosexual relationships must be productive to be justified. Alexander Farnese was positioned as Governor General of the Spanish Netherlands. Farnese led a successful campaign against the Dutch Revolt, in capturing the main cities in the south and returned them to the control of Catholic Spain. By the treaty of Arras in 1579, he secured the support of southern Catholic nobles. Although this treaty did not last forever, and the northern seven provinces eventually became free and independent, forming the Dutch Republic, this was a victory for the Catholic Church, seeing as the treaty lasted until the end of the reformation period. To keep a solid foothold in both political and religious worlds, the Church believed institutional reform was necessary. Depression is a mental illness that not only affects how you mentally perceive reality, it affects how your brain processes and executes your actions as well. Depression has not only changed my ways of contemplating my everyday complications , but it has changed my belief about inner and self strength completely. Let me tell you, my depression is the reason I am writing about my belief, in gaining strength from desperate times. Now, I m 14 years young, and have lived in two different countries, one province, and two states in a matter of two and a half years. Which is part of the reason why I am a completely different person now. Moving is aggravating and exasperating for really anyone who goes through it, but it has a whole other perspective when you are a student in high school. Moving was upsetting and set my anxiety and depression off like a firecracker, but at the same time it was an adventure that I was lucky to have had. Why? Because it made me get out of the house and meet people. Sure, I could have stayed inside and slept all summer, but then I might not have been here typing this as of right now. Moving gave me strength by making me get out and find new things and new people. My experience with depression turned my whole life around. This has been down to the political party in power at the time, pressures of a changing society and the subsequent rise and fall of the national economy. The purpose of this essay is to look at how these factors have affected and developed secondary educationin Great Britain starting with a brief overview of the pre 1900 s. Moving through the years in chronological order, the essay will consider various Education Acts and reports, the effect of two World Wars and the controversial Butler Education Act of 1944 when the tripartite systemwas introduced. Prior to 1900 secondary education was virtually non existent, the consensus view at that time was that secondary education was only for boys of the middle and upper classes. The few schools available were fee paying and therefore only an option to those who could afford them. This fuelled the gap in social status and in the opinion of Marxists kept the lower classes in their place so as not to disrupt the economic and social balance. In the 1860 s there were no grammar schools for girls, however due to a slight change in the views of society by 1900 eighty girls schools had been created (Stephens, 1998). The 1870 s saw the development of some of higher grade schools, these had a scientific and technical bias and grants were provided for those whose pupils were successful in the

  • 39. Greek And The Modern Culture Of The Ancient Greek Culture There are a couple of ways in which a given cultural period has influenced the modern world. In my opinion if you look at today compared to the Ancient Greece time period looking back about 2500 years ago a lot of things they have created and started evolved into great things for an example. Sports and the Olympics, Architecture, and even the Greek arts. I personally feel like these subjects hit home when we are talking about influential changes from the past to todays culture. You actually might just be as surprised finding out some of this information just like me. You might be surprised but although looking back about 2500 years ago they also played sports just like we do to this day. As a matter of fact the Ancient Greeks were the inventors of the Olympics believe it or not the Olympics has been around for that long. Although it was a little different back then. The ancient Olympic Gameswere initially a one day event until 684 BC, when they were extended to three days. In the 5th century B.C., the Games were extended again to cover five days. The ancient Games included running, long jump, shot put, javelin, boxing, pankration and equestrian events. (Olympic.org). They even often performed nude to demonstrate the performance of the human body. (mindmeister.com) . The running contest included the Stade race (200m foot race) , The Diaulos (two stades 400m foot race) , Dolichos ( ranging between 7and 24 stades). The next event was the jumping Athletes used stone or lead weights called halteres to increase the distance of a jump. They held onto the weights until the end of their flight, and then jettisoned them backwards. (Olympic.org). There s also boxing and wrestling which is still like modern days boxing and wrestling. But with the both were way more brutal boxers back then would sometimes even disfigure there own opponents. Wrestling matches would not stop until there opponent admitting call for defeat. As you can tell our modern day Olympics have grew but the start has come from the ancient Greek. Who would have know ? That a couple of games would turn into something as big as the Olympics that today brings the best from all around the world to participate in these following events that

  • 43. Espn Case Study Analysis To what extent are ESPN subscribers committed to the ESPN network and brand compared to on the air talent on the network? It s no secret that ESPN has lost a multitude of popular sports broadcasters over the last few years. Many have joined FOX Sports, after being unable to come to terms with ESPN s contract deals. These personalities include big names such as, Colin Cowherd, Jason Whitlock, Skip Bayless, Shannon Spake and Chris Broussard. Although moving forward without these reporters will save the company money, one must consider how these transitions are impacting ESPN s viewership. Colin Cowherd was with ESPN radio since 2003 until Fox Sports outbid ESPN in a $6 million deal. Skip Bayless also decided to jump ship this past April. According to Forbes, Bayless signed a $26 million deal which included $5 million annually and a $4 million bonus. Bayless teamed up with ... • 44. Example Of Adversity In Bravery Bravery As a person on this earth we all face adversity everyday whether you know it or not. These two stories demonstrate Adversity really well. The first story is The Most Dangerous Game. (Connell) The second Story is The Sniper. (O Flaherty) In The Most Dangerous Game a man gets stranded on a island. He then finds a house on this island in the middle of nowhere and there is this man there. He is a skilled hunter like the man stranded, he invites him in for dinner and for huntingstories. He then reveals that he has killed every animal there is and now he hunts humans. In The Sniper. There is a sniper and he is getting shot by a enemy sniper. The enemy sniper hits him in the shoulder. He then puts his helmet on top of barrel of his gun. The enemy sniper shoots his helmet he then throws his body on a barrier. The enemy sniper puts his weapon down and then he get shot by the other sniper. The Sniper goes to check on his kill and it turns out he killed his brother. There is one major quality you need to overcome adversity and that is Bravery. Bravery is a very important quality because when adversity hits you you need to be brave enough to conquer it. This quote from The Sniper will give an example of bravery Taking off his cap, he placed it over the muzzle of his rifle. Then he pushed the rifle slowly upward over the parapet, until the cap was visible from the opposite side of the street. Almost immediately there was a report, and a bullet pierced the centre of

Other issues must be brought into consideration such as: How large will the networked system be? Who will use the system? Many questions like these must be addressed to collect information about how we will answer these questions we can investigate the current system using multiple collection methods. A questionnaire could be produced to quiz current staff about how effective the current system s features are, and we could ask for the flaws in the current system to ensure the new health care analytics system fixes these problems. Another method of investigation is to look at staff logs and work patterns so we can adapt our system around how the doctors work. From all of the information we collect from monitoring the users we must collate this to form a specification so that the developers of the system know what guidelines to work from. This will prevent any mistakes from being made and give a foundation for the structure of the system, more technical details such as the processing power and the network speeds will also need to be determined to find the correct hardware required so the company can be cost efficient. The next stage in the process is the software design phase, this is the part of the development where the software s structure will be created in many aspects, here we will draw out the network and decide whether it will be a LAN (Local area network) or a WAN (Wide area network) this depends on if this system will be used over different branches of
  • 46. Theme Of Resilience In Defending Jacob Resilience is defined as the quality that allows people to be knocked down and come back stronger than ever. Resilience is demonstrated throughout the novel Defending Jacob by William Landay, and the ancillary texts If by Rudyard Kipling, and The Third and Final Continent by Jhumpa Lahiri though different literary devices. The similar conflicts of Defending Jacob and Third and Final Continent help develop a theme of resilience throughout the stories. Another literary device that helps to show this theme in Defending Jacob and If is point of view. Finally, the theme is displayed once more in the novel and Third and Final Continent through the use of characterization. The theme of keeping one s head through troubled times and not giving up is developed through the use of conflict, point of view, and characterization in Defending Jacob, If , and The Third and Final Continent . Both William Landay and Jhumpa Lahiri use conflicts in their stories to demonstrate the theme of resilience and perseverance. William Landay uses the conflict of Andy s belief in his son and Lahiri uses the narrators will to be successful as those characters motivation to continue working for what they believe in. Andy and Laurie s visit to Dr. Vogel shows the beginning of a conflict in Defending Jacob. So? So what does shoplifting have to do with murder? What s the difference if he took a candy bar or something from CVS? What on Earth does that have to do with Ben Rifkin being brutally stabbed to death? (Landay 146). Andy Barber never once stops believing that his son is innocent, even after this leads to fights with Laurie and could potentially lead to divorce. However he fights for Jacob and he knows they will get through the trial. While Andy Barber s conflict and perseverance is more mental, the narrator of The Third and Final Continent has a more physical conflict he must overcome. The theme of resilience is also developed in this text when the narrator is telling his son about his life at the end of the story. Whenever he is discouraged, I tell him that if I can survive on three continents, then there is no obstacle he cannot conquer (Lahiri). These words of wisdom demonstrate resilience because the

As premature births increase and the climbing number of mothers that are breastfeeding rise, the amount of infants that are developing jaundice continue to climb as well. Jaundice starts with an infantthat has the inability to regulate the amount of red blood cells breaking down, other wise known as bilirubin. If the body produces too much bilirubin in the blood it is then referred to as hyperbilirubinemia. Some babies, especially newborns, do not have the ability to breakdown and excrete bilirubin properly, thus, creating a build up in their blood and surrounding tissues. As a result, bilirubin, having a natural... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Several different types of treatments include phototherapy, fiberoptic blanket, and exchange transfusion. Researchers over the years have looked into finding how phototherapy actually works. Several researchers conducted a study that looked into the influence of light on the hyperbilirubinemia of infants, they found that, The effect of light on jaundice in neonates, and the ability of light to decrease serum bilirubin levels, was first described by Cremer et al in 1958 (Cremer). Phototherapy is a process that takes light and uses it to manipulate bilirubin molecules in hopes to turn it into something more soluble like water to be excreted by the body. William Cashore, MD wrote an article going over exactly what jaundice is. He wrote, The bilirubin levels treated with effective doses of phototherapy should decline to acceptable levels within 12 24 hours (Cashore, 154). The prognosis for an infant with jaundice is extremely good when they are treated at the right time with the correct treatment. The importance of knowing the symptoms like, yellowing of the skin, excessive crying, or abnormal behavior can help save a child s life. The types of treatment can be tedious but they are helpful in reducing the risk for further complications. Women should be aware of neonatal jaundice and there child s level of bilirubin in his or her
