Ozone Therapy in Dentistry
Ozone is a naturally occurring molecule that protects us from radiation and binds to air pollutants. It is formed by sunlight and lightning and exists as a triatomic molecule. Ozone therapy uses ozone in gas, water, or oil forms to disinfect areas and stimulate healing in the body. When introduced into the body, ozone creates an oxidative burst that kills microorganisms but also improves blood flow, immune response, and healing. Ozone therapy can be used to treat dental issues like tooth decay, sensitivity, gum disease, and sockets after tooth extraction by disinfecting and accelerating the healing process.

This study compared the efficacy of four mouthwash solutions in reducing plaque and gingivitis over 6 months in a population with good oral hygiene: 1) two low-dose 0.06% chlorhexidine preparations, 2) a commercially available 0.1% chlorhexidine solution, 3) an amine fluoride/stannous fluoride solution, and 4) a water control. All solutions reduced plaque levels, but the 0.1% and 0.06% chlorhexidine solutions were more effective at 3 months. Indications of D&I

Contraindication : Pelvic infections.
Steps of operation
The patient is asked to remain empty bladder.
Operation is done under general anaesthesia.
The patient is placed in lithotomic position
Local antiseptic cleaning is done.
Posterior vaginal speculum is introduced.
Anterior lip of cervix is grasped with Allis tissue forceps.
7. Uterine sound is introduced to confirm the position and to note the length of cervical canal.
Cervical canal is dilated with graduated dilators.
After the desired dilatation, the insufflation cannula is introduced into the cervical canal.
10. Air is introduced in the uterus and the hissing sound is auscultated over the flanks.
Test
Positive Test:
An audible hissing sound on the flanks due to exit of air.
Patient complains of shoulder painon sitting.
Negative Test:
No hissing sound over the flanks.

Irrigation

Fiber post

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).

Relieve the tooth from occlusion slightly in some situations. Leave the tooth open in some cases (avoid it whenever possible).
