  • 11. You have 3 options: 1. DO IT YOURSELF 2. FOLLOW YOUR TRADITIONAL PROCUREMENT ROUTE 3. ENGAGE WITH A STARTUP TO BE THEIR PILOT CUSTOMER
  • 12. Option 1- Do it yourself: DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT COMPETENCE? IF NO, CAN YOU GET HOLD OF THE RIGHT COMPETENCE? IF YOU CAN´T GET HOLD OF THE RIGHT COMPETENCE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND OPTION 1 IS NO LONGER AN OPTION
  • 13. Option 2 – The traditional procurement route DO YOU HAVE THE COMPETENCE TO DESCRIBE THE REQUEST? IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE COMPETENCE, ARE YOU ABLE TO FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP YOU? IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE FOUND SOMEONE, WHAT WILL BE THE COST AND TIMELINE IN ORDER TO PREPARE YOUR RFQ WITH SUPPORT FROM AN OUTSIDE CONSULTANT? HOW DO YOU QUALIFY WHETHER SOMEONE ARE ABLE TO HELP YOU IF YOU DON´T KNOW WHAT YOUR ARE LOOKING FOR?
  • 14. Option 3 – Engage with a startup and be their pilot customer ARE YOU ABLE TO LOCATE A STARTUP TRYING TO SOLVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM AS YOURS? IF YES, SIT TOGETHER AND SHARE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO ACHIVE ON BOTH ENDS MOST LIKELY YOUR PROBLEM IS NOT EXACTLY ALIGNED WITH THE ONE OF THE STARTUP. IF YOUR ARE ASKING THEM TO TAKE A DETOUR YOU NEED TO DISCUSS A COMPENSATION MODEL IF BOTH PARTIES FIND IT USEFUL TO CONTINUE, DEFINE A TIMELINE, MILESTONES AND EXIT TERMS. BE THEIR FIRST (PILOT) CUSTOMER
