Should Esports be considered a real sport?

Introduction
The influence of technology throughout the 21st century has been significant, affecting every
aspect of society, including sport. Technology has created an unofficial, esports (Electronic Sports),
which has grown rapidly over the past 4 years, erecting various Tournaments and bringing in
millions of viewers. This interests me due to my passion for video games and sports, a
combination of the two being extremely enticing; however, the real interest lies in the controversial

Streamers are people who broadcast them playing video games through a broadcasting service.
This service is twitch , as it has a monopoly on the video game broadcasting market. The
broadcasters gain ad revenue and viewers can subscribe to streams, allowing them to gain an
income from streaming and interacting with viewers, however, it is a free service and can be
viewed by anyone without any payments needing to be made. Esports has influenced this due to
the immense amount of organisations requiring professional players to implement streaming in
their day to day activities. Streaming is an integral part of a professional gamer s life in the
western world due to the ad revenue it provides. Companies attempt to raise the profile of the
players through content on youtube such as gaming house tours, making the players seem more
likeable and approachable, directly influencing the user interaction gained from streaming, thus,
increasing revenue. By observing twitch streams I was able to find that the top 3 twitch streams
on avg. at any one time would have 10 20 thousand viewers in the League of Legends section
alone, as supported by statistic gathering website Socialblade , with the other 7 in the top 10
averaging 1 7 thousand. Many other sections such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive and
Hearthstone also have similar statistics. This done not include

Essay on Scottish American Immigration
Scottish American Immigration
America was created by people who immigrated to the country over the years. One of the many
groups of people to come to America and help build into what she is today was the Scots. In order
to discuss the Scottish immigration you must understand why they immigrated, what type of
prejudice they faced, and what role the Scots now have in today s America. Though the Scots did
not have the influx of people immigrating as the Irish, Italian, or English they had a major influence
on the development of America.
When did the first Scottish arrive and why did they come? The first Scots in America probably
came with the Vikings is what Wikipedia says on when the first Scots came to America. The first
official ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because of this many Scots did not face prejudice or discrimination and more Scots came to the
New World. So much so that at the time of our first federal census (1790) people of Scottish
(including Scottish Irish) origins made up more than six percent of the population.
(geneologymagazine.com) By the year 2000 approximately 1.5 million Scots have immigrated to
America. (Gormley) So were the Scottish discriminated against or did they discriminate. The truth
of the matter is that though the Scottish was not discriminated against, they did participate in
discrimination. The Scottish was some of the main farmers of cotton and tobacco. Because of this
the Scottish owned many slaves and fought to be able to keep the African Americans slaves. Their
discrimination against this race would continue well into the 1960 s. This would include
discriminating against them in jobs, whether that being not hiring because of color, or not
promoting for the same reason.
For the most part the Scottish did real well for themselves once they were in America. A fair went
on to have children who became presidents; Andrew Jackson was one of those children. Along
with Andrew Jackson there were a few more Scots to help sign the Declaration of Independence.
Many presidents later would be of Scottish decent. Many went on to become successful tobacco and
cotton farmers. Many went on to settle and discover the American West

Old Navy Black Dress
According to world renowned fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, who describes, One is never
over dressed or underdress with a little black dress. Sometimes the simplest item of clothing
with little or no accessories can really make unique and one of a kind. The item I ve selected
was my recently new Old Navy Black T shirt Dress. The dress gently hits above my knee with rib
kit crew neck and to finish with cap sleeves. The dress materials would include 93% cotton and
only 7% spandex. The dress is a soft, medium weight jersey material that comes in a variety of
colors. I ve selected this item of clothing because currently in my life I am transitioning my life

who are forced to toil for a total of 14 to 17 plus hour shifts, seven days in the week and only paid

behaving inappropriately, the work will receive physical punishment and illegal firing are the norm.

Weekly Paper #6
As an account of absorption, Kaspar is ruled by the deficient thought in Herzog s film, clear
through its categorizing of him into various assortments of the same social part. In any case, he is
depicted by alternate characters in the film as the
foundling. As a foundling he is on the edge of society, yet on the edge ready for socialization: he
has been found and is prepared for the procedure of absorption. However, when this incorporation
demonstrates troublesome, Kaspar turns into a turn off from society, a maverick, an oddity, or
what Deleuze and Guattari would call a negative line of flight. Asked by the town older folks how
he will gain his keep, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, a picture has a similar metaphysics; before it is any sort of sign, it is matter in
development (a development picture), and Kaspar and the picture are both augmented substance.
Along these lines both Kaspar and a picture have a substance and an expression, a substance, or
more profound level whereby insufficiency is just a single inconstancy of their assurance. A
picture is a quality or reality before it is an indication of anything specific, and Kaspar is a method
of expansion and thought before any of the social molds he experiences. We see now that the way
of individual is to be comprehended not as the creature with dialect, however as the getting to be
dialect being, and that the jump of dialect is a transforming into the educable being, which I
need to style as an instructional method of taking off. Being with Dialect proposes that the way
of leaving is just imagined, separated, lastly discredited through the present being with dialect.
The past recipe appears to neglect to clarify Hauser s case. There was no show of the exit from
the give in. We see from Hauser s case that being with dialect does not promise us flexibility. Or
maybe, Hauser step by step accumulated more doubt upon himself: the more he talked, the more
he picked up doubt. This activity and others cause disappointment in Kaspar s volunteering
instructors. He is unequipped for accommodating in ordinary terms. He is later acquainted with
the town s nobles at a bourgeoisie party the plan is so odd for Kaspar that it smothers his capacity
to be agreeable. This scene, as with the very way of the film, is intensely

Canada welcomes more than 200,000 new immigrants. It creates a diverse of multiple nationalities.

(Basok, 2002), as a newcomer in Canada, Mexicans must adapt to all the new concepts of culture,
language and climate, housing, transportation and other facets that may be difficult at first. Even,
try to make new friends, is not so simple. However, most Canadian cities have an organized
system of aid and assistance for immigrants, who provide all the necessary advices. These services
are provided during the first two years of stay, adjusting the approximate time for any new entrant.
Some people point out that a few aspects should be followed to make the immigration process more
convinience, for example:
1. To gather all the documents required for the procedure.
2. Hiring a consultant or immigration lawyer, so your questions get answered.

What Does Lenor Symbolize In The Raven
Does grief truly leave you lonely, or does it bring the memories of someone back to you? In the
poem The Raven , by Edgar Allan Poe, there is a Raven that talks to the narrator who is currently
going through the grieving process. He is grieving over his lost love, Lenore. Throughout the
poem, he constantly refers to her and is always left feeling sad and alone. The Ravensymbolizes
Lenoreand the narrator s relationship with her. It seems as though his grieving creates a way for
him to have her back in his life. Lenore, the narrator s lost love, has passed on and the narrator
misses her very much. The narrator opens a window because he believed he heard something. The
Raven flies into the room and rests on the bust of Pallas the figure that represents wisdom. The
window may symbolize the narrator s openness to new knowledge and experiences. Sometimes
unexpected things happen, such as a loved one dying;... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He finds himself enjoying the company of the Raven. After contemplating about the bird, he
says, Till I scarcely more than muttered Other friends have flown before / On the morrow...(the
Raven) will leave me, as my hopes have flown before. / Then the bird said Nevermore (58 60).
This suggests that the narrator is very much missing his soulmate and friend. He tells the Raven
that his other friends and the people he had loved have left him. These words are very powerful
because he is so full of grief and longing, that the bird reminds him of Lenore. He wants her to
stay, nevertheless, he still is doubting that the Raven would stay. The narrator also mentions that
the friends have flown away before. The friends are referring to Lenore. It is a universal
understanding that when it says people have flown it refers to heaven or the afterlife, it is
interesting that he would use those words. Lenore has flown before, therefore showing that the
narrator is questioning if Lenore will leave him

Kindergarten students have been working on several projects to guide their study of colors and
many master artists. In their first project, student s blended colors from the warm and cool color
groups to design a background for their Andy Warhol inspired handprint compositions. Throughout
the unit students also practiced cutting, gluing, tracing and drawing skills. Next, students created
large scale work based on the art of Piet Mondrian. Mondrian s work can be easily recognized by
his use of only primary colors and geometric shapes. For this unit, students carefully crafted a

Comparing Don T Give Up The Fight And Making Sarah Cry
The story Don t give up the fight and the poem Making sarah cry have the same theme because
they both have the theme of courage. Both have courage because in making Sarah cry the boy
had to have courage because he had to stand up to peer pressure so he didn t make fun of
sarah. In the story don t give up the fight Ava had to have courage to stay on the track team even
though nobody wanted her there .They are different because they both show courage, but they
show it in totally different ways like their social implication. Like, Ava helped herself and sarah
helped of her bullies. The boy in making Sarah cry had to stand up to peer pressure and in don t
give up the fight the girl had to show the boys what she is made of. In the story Don t give up the
Fight the theme is courage. I know this because Ava has to keep racing after she is getting
bullied. My other reason is that ava has to stand up to the boys and coach that try to put her down
and want her to quit but, she keeps running even though she is getting made fun of. My last reason
is that ava has her friend to talk to but she didn t because she felt like nobody would understand.

This experiment tests how the amount of sleep consumed effects the accuracy and reaction time
in college students. The hypothesis states that a participant who received six or less hours of
sleep the previous night will have slower reaction times and less accuracy than a participant who
received more than six hours of sleep. Participants were broken into two groups (six or less hours
of sleep and more than six hours) and asked to identify the color of ink on a flash card. This was a
timed test to calculate accuracy and reaction time. The results of the study did not support the

Hong Kong Disney Land Case Study Essay
Assignment 1 Hong Kong Disney land case study. Question 1 Which strategic action Disney
took for consumer focused Initiative. As we all know that any company use the strategy for
only 2 motives which is selling concept and marketing concept. Among them consumer is an
important for only 2nd motive. On that concept there are four stages Here I am going to explain
the planned action for target consumer focus. First of all, I can say that Disney is the world s
leading producers and providers of entertainment and information. Hong Kong Disneyland is the
fifth them park in the worldwide. Here also Disney has one purpose is strategically to reach the
growing Chinese market. But Local residents of Hongkong understood that its country should be
proud that it is selected as a fifth for having Disney theme park. So it s a two way strategic
action. Second this is used consumer decision making process for example, here the exaple of
The lion king 3D which was released on September2011. The first stage in this process is the
need recognition which is always a desired or dream need when it comes to Disney products.
This need can be activated by external source through enormous advertising or positive reviews.
The second stage is information search, here is an internal source because this movie based on the

Literary Devices Used in Albert Camus The Plague
A book of horrors, fear and death. The Plague is a book by Albert Camus which weaves these
emotions and events into one suspenseful tale. Each paragraph and section is written and
structured in such a way as to give the reader insight into the feelings of the victims of the plague,
and to show somewhat of a theme. The passage from section 4, part 4, line number 1 to line
number 35 gives us a glimpse of the melancholy of the people of Oranto their dead loved ones to
the extent that they do not attend All Souls Day, for they were thinking of them too much as it was.
Albert Camusfills this passage with figurative devices, including, diction, personification, pathetic

Diction is seen to be used greatly in conveying the suitability of the town for All Souls Day.
Pathetic Fallacy is also used to portray the message by Albert Camus. Also, the cool wind , big
clouds...trailing shadows , glossy and oiled clothing give the impression of a cool, damp
shadowy day, with clothing mimicking this, portraying the psychology of the people of Oran
when they are in melancholy for their loved ones. However, from around the third paragraph
onwards, a turning point is seen. As previously suggested, it was a suitable time of the year for
mourning and All Souls Day, but ironically this did not occur. Albert Camus devices and literary
intelligence make it very clear that the melancholy of the town was to the extent that All Souls
Day was neglected. It is seen by a turning point, But these familiar aspects of All Souls Day could
not make us forget that the cemeteries were left unvisited . This turning point suggests that All
Souls Day did not occur as it was previously suggested through earlier devices, mainly due to the
already prevalent grief towards the dead. Albert Camus metaphors clearly clarifies this, they (the
dead) were no longer the forsaken to whom...you came to justify yourself and they (the dead) were
intruders whom you would rather forget .Also, these metaphors give insight to the attitude of the
townspeople towards their dead, that the extended period of thinking and grief over their dead has
caused them not

The Decision Tree Method For Intrusion Detection System
Abstract
There are many risks in using the internet irrespective of its popularity. These risks are network
attack, and attack method which vary every day. This research is aim to compare decision tree
method for intrusion detection. As intrusion detection is one of the major research problem in
network security. Tradition intrusion detection systemcontain a number of problems, such as low
performance, high false negative rate, low intelligent level. In this research work we compared
effectiveness of decision tree method in Intrusion Detection System. We also compare the detection
rate, false alarm rate for different types of attack.
1.0Background
Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are software or hardware designed to automatically monitor
activities within a network of computers and identify any security issues . IDS have been around
for at least 30 years since increased enterprise network access produced a new challenge, the need
for user access and monitoring. As day to day operations grew increasingly dependent upon shared
use of information systems, levels of access to these systems and clear visibility into user activity
was required to operate safely and securely.
Many of the initial headway on IDS was made within the U.S. Air Force. In 1980, James P.
Anderson, an innovator of information security and member of the Defense Science Board Task
Force on Computer Security at the U.S. Air Force, produced Computer Security Threat Monitoring

over the age of 50. Every ten years after the age of 50 the prevalence of this disease increases

different forms, the earlier nonneovascular (dry) type and the more advanced neovascular (wet)

protein deposits called drusens may be the key risk factor in understanding dry AMD pathology,
progression, and treatment. Once the more advanced wet AMD is diagnosed, pathology and
treatment are targeted around the formation and destruction of abnormal blood vessels,
characteristic of the wet AMD eye. The increasing prevalence of AMD has influenced more

There are two main climatic zones in Georgia. It is generally a moderate and Mediterranean like in

Third Party Forgiveness Examples
Third Party Forgiveness
The major findings in this article were that reactions to offenses frequently tend toward retaliation
rather than forgiveness and that first parties generally are more likely to forgive offenses than are
third parties. Continuing to study both first party and third party forgiveness through cognitive
evaluations as well as the interdependent nature of relationships can have important implications for
forgiveness promoting interventions, thereby helping individuals reach forgiveness.
In this article two experiments tested the hypothesis that close friends of victims are less forgiving
than the victims themselves. In Experiment 1, individuals imagined a scenario in which either their
romantic partner or the romantic partner of a close friend committed an offense. Third parties were
less forgiving than first parties, a phenomenon we termed the third party forgiveness effect. In
Experiment 2, first and third parties reported an actual offense and their unforgiving motivations that

The article states that it could be possible that third parties might be less forgiving than the victims
themselves, despite the fact that an offense was not directed at them. This could be due to the fact
that close friends or family members of both perpetrator and victim may take sides and feel
intimately involved in an offense and its aftermath. Those close to the victim may feel wronged or
deeply hurt themselves. They may believe that they are entitled to forgive or not forgive the
perpetrator. Interpersonally, they may even influence the victim s decision to forgive or the victim s
process of emotional forgiveness. Interpersonal definitions and models of forgiveness focus almost

Essay on Napoleon s Failure to Dominate Europe
Napoleon s Failure to Dominate Europe
A ruler s reputation comes from the change that he inflicts upon his subjects, territory, and
surrounding lands. Napoleon Bonaparte rose into power during the French Revolution, causing
drastic changes not only to France, but to the rest of Europe as well. His domestic and foreign
policies were not always successful, but his ability to rule was undeniable. From his rising in
power and reform of France, up until his military defeat in Russia, Napoleon succeeded in gaining a
considerate amount of power and control.

Also, there were limitations on personal freedom such as press censorship, the use of spies, and the

Strength In What Friends Character Analysis
Patriotism is easy to understand in America. It means looking out for yourself by looking out for
your country (Calvin Coolidge). Looking out for your country can be as simple as helping out
another individual who is going through a difficult time. Some Americans understand this concept
better than others. The Americans in the book Strength in What Remains by Tracy Kidder,
understand this especially well as they help the main character, Deo, heal. They provide a shelter

Antagonistic Coevolution Between Bacterial And Phage...
Antagonistic Coevolution Between Bacterial and Phage Populations
PCB 4674
Fall 2016
Abstract
Often termed an evolutionary arms race, the enduring battle between bacterial and phage defenses
against one another has shed insight into the mechanisms behind coevolution, and how these
adaptations have led to diversification and speciation within both populations. Research into the
relationship has yielded evidence that antagonistic coevolution can be advantageous for both phage
and bacteria, often resulting in adaptations that would not have evolved by mutation through
natural selection alone.
This review provides background information on the relationship between bacteria and their phage,
elucidating some of the mechanisms behind antagonistic coevolution and the resulting adaptations
therein, and discusses the controversial use of phage therapy as treatment for some strains of
antibiotic resistant bacteria. Data extracted from a study utilizing a species of marine bacteria and
phage is provided as an example of a few basic adaptations behind coevolution and how they can
lead to diversification in both host and parasitoid defenses, and subsequently, their populations.
Introduction Bacteriophage, or simply phage, are obligate intracellular viruses that invade
bacterial cells and take over the cellular machinery to replicate their viral genome and create new
viral progeny via lysis of the bacterial host cell (Buckling and Rainey 2002). Phage have been
identified as the

African American people should look at these studies and want to make a difference, if not for
them, then for the future of the African American racethat have to suffer the consequences for the
actions of others. The cause for all of this black on black violence is the gang violence that has
been rapidly increasing as the years have passed. All of these people that are a part of a gang, go
around killing people because of a street that they do not even own. So many African Americans
become a part of a gang because they probably do not have love and support at home. Since they
do not get it there, they run to the streets to be with people that they think care about them and
will give them support. Many young boys that are from gangs feel, since they grew up around
gangs, then they might as well become a part of one. The boys that are in these gangs think their
purpose for being in a gang is to protect the street they live on. But what they do not realize is that
their lives are put in danger when they try to protect something not even theirs.
Whether in the Black community, or any community, we know that there are some factors that
correlate with a lower rate of violence. Two of the leading ones are: economic stability and strong
social networks. Communities in which people have their basic needs met correlate with a lower
incidence of violence. Both of these will be difficult to achieve until racism is addressed (see

Southwest Flight 1248
Some of the witnesses did not realize what was actually happening such as; we thought it was an
automobile accident and we looked out the window and we saw the tail section of a Southwest
airliner laying across the street (ASN, 2007). Further, witnesses also reported that people were
running and ambulances were coming down the street (ASN, 2007). The witness reports for the
accident of flight 1248 were not a significant source of the investigation. Findings. The NTSB
made 23 findings relative to this accident, discussing crew qualifications, use of reverse thrust, use
of automatic brakes, landing conditions, landing surface condition guidance, and Engineering
Materials Arresting System (EMAS) (FAA, 2005). Probable Cause The National Transportation
Safety Board (NTSB) determined that the probable cause of the accident was the pilots failure to
use available reverse thrust in a timely manner to safely slow or stop the airplane after landing,
which resulted in a runway overrun. This failure occurred because the pilots first experience and
lack of familiarity with the airplane s autobrake system distracted them from using reverse thrust
during the challenging landing (FAA, 2005). According to the NTSB report of accident flight 1248,

The Safety Board concludes that the pilots first use of the airplane s autobrake system during a
challenging landing situation led to the pilots distraction from the otherwise routine task of
deploying the thrust reversers promptly after touchdown (NTSB, 2007). Therefore, if the pilots had
been presented with stopping margins associated with the input winds or had known that the
stopping margins calculated by the OPC for the 737 700 already assumed credit for the use of
thrust reversers, the pilots may have elected to divert (NTSB,

The Conflict Between Ralph And Jack
The conflict between Ralph and Jack shows how lack of civilization can result to savagery.
Ralph states, We need shelters contrasting to Jack who says, We need meat (Golding, p.42). The
lack of civilization in Jack shows because he thinks hunting is more important than shelters
although he has yet to catch a pig, while on the other hand Ralph thinks it s more important to
build shelter for a sense of home and protection from the rain and the beastie that all the littluns
are afraid of. Let him be chief with the trumpet thing (Golding, p. 15). This quote states that
Ralph should be in charge because he has the conch, and Jack gets upset since he is not voted
chief but then Ralph puts him charge of the choir boys who later on become the hunters. Ralph
creates civilization when he is given power to become the chief on the island, and he has the
power with or without the conch. Later in the novel when Ralph realizes he doesn t like being
dirty and disliked perpetually flicking the tangled hair put of his eyes, it shows that Ralph is
used the civilization he had before and wants to return to that civilization (Golding, p.66). Then
Jack becomes an example of savagery when he shows up to the fire in chapter 8, stark naked
save for the paint and a belt (Golding, p.125). Ralph and his followers show the civilized and
orderly side of the island, but on the contrary, Jack and his tribe show the savagery of man and
barbaric side of the island. The contrasting images

Character Analysis Of Miss Emily Grierson
Upon reading A Rose for Emily, penned by William Faulkner, one discovers several colorful
characters, including one Miss Emily Grierson, who may be best described as a wilting violet in a
time capsule. As the daughter of a colonel who was once the respected town mayor, Miss Emily
met a much different fate than one might have expected of someone with such a high societal
status. In keeping with the idea that humans are flawed beings, a tragic herois often described as an
individual with immense potential who meets a horrific end due to flaws within themselves, and
the main character in Faulkner s short story undeniably meets these criteria. In William Faulkners A
Rose for Emily, Miss Emily Grierson suffers an unfortunate fate due to her lack of willingness to
evolve as the times changed, her intense need to keep up appearances, and her withdrawal from
society which leads readers to accept her as a tragic hero.
Throughout the course of the story, it becomes evident to readers that Miss Emily lived her life
as though time was on pause, and nothing was allowed to be altered within the confines of her
reality; in regard to this realization, one notes that this is where she first began her long fall down
the well. In retrospect, she held fast to the days when she fancied herself a symbol of the
flourishing south and became stationary in an antiquated period of life when the times began to
change. She made it known that she wanted no part of change, and she never chose to

The Solidarity of the International Longshore and...
Solidarity is an important linchpin in any type of organization. In a labor union, it is even more so,
it is the foundation of the organization. A limited amount of labor unions today have a level of
unity that gives them the power to wield when it comes to negotiating contracts. Within the United
States ports system, the success through labor disputes, bargaining, organization, and sense of

Legislation though out the last century have affected the labor conflicts and have either helped
or tested the ILWU. One of the most important pieces of legislation to the ILWU would be the
National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA) section 7a. As Deborah Sonis, an editor, observes that
section 7a gave employees the right to organize and bargain collectively (n pag.). This act made
it possible for the ILWU to bargain collectively, which is one of the main points of the solidarity
of the union on the west coast and not just in specific ports. While the NIRA was a help to
unions, other legislation was a deterrent to unions. The Taft Hartley act was created after gains
by labor unions in the wake of World War II to benefit the employers. As the author Peter Onley
claims that giving the President the power to stop worker strikes under threat of financial
penalties and imprisonment could radically shift the balance of power in favor of employers (n
pag.). In 2002, Peter Onley informs that President Bush acted on October 8 and went to Federal
District Court in San Francisco to enjoin the lock out and open up the ports (n pag.). The use of the
Taft Hartley could have negatively affected the union but the solidarity was what help the union
survive. Other unions should see know what legislation affects them, and have strategies of how to
deal with the legislation. Bargaining is a main point in the success of a contract in a labor union.

The Importance Of Happiness In The Work Environment
Happiness in a work environment can aid to increase productivity, decrease the amount of injuries
due to stress and unhappiness, plus it create more jobs because people want to work in that type
of environment. The environment around employees can alter their speed of productivity if it is
unpleasant to them. This issue has gone for many years in many businesses and has been
overlooked by these corporations. Considering that almost 80% of doctor visits because of work
are due to stress. As a businessowner, I will need to understand what affects my employees. The
business can be affected by a decrease in productivitydue to an unhappy environment. The
efficiency of the business will depend on the environment that surrounds the employees. There is
studies that show that the work environment in a business can affect how well the employees
work and can lead to an increase in the number of jobs at that business. People that are enduring
high amounts of unhappiness and stress are more likely to get injured. Businesses can fail,
because their employees are not in a enjoyable environment to work and this will lead to a decline
in productivity. A decrease in productivity will lead to a decline in the profit, because less products
will lead to less money coming into the business. Some businesses want investors to put money into
their business, so that they can grow, but investors do not want to invest in a business that has
employees that are not happy and are not productive

They sought a world better than the one that they were born or immigrated into under British rule.
The founding fathers did not intend to restrict the natural rights they felt were restricted and
stripped away by the British crown. The American Revolution was ignited because of taxes and the
attempt of the British to confiscate arms, but at the heart of the struggle was the desire of those
Patriots to have liberty, and they encapsulated one of these natural rights in the First Amendment.
The founders established for all Americans a nation of laws. The States on behalf of the people

Disadvantages Of Outsourcing In Healthcare
Outsourcing can be a means to perform the core functions of an organization effectively by having

The advantages of outsourcing are:

smoking marijuana since high school and occasionally on campus. Currently Sean was brought to
the emergency room by a friend after passing out on the lawn at a beer party. His friend had seen
that Sean vomited all over himself and would not wake up. His friend then called 911 and an
ambulance came. At the emergency room Sean s stomach was pumped and a blood... Show more

When speaking to the counselor Sean admits that, he does not remember what happened last
night or how he came to be at the hospital. He remembered being at the Sigma house and playing
a drinking game around 10:00 pm and did not remember much after that. He even mentioned a
story about drinking when he was in high school. Sean was very worried that his parents would
find out and that they would make him come home. He seemed to be very nervous about not
knowing whether his parents were called or not. Sean admitted to smoking marijuana before the
party. He also stated that a friend gave him oxycontin. Sean mentioned that his father was an
alcoholic and used to come home all the time drunk, which caused tension between his father and
mother. His father would come home slurring his speech, coming home buzzed or sometimes not
coming home at all. His father attended AA meeting and he no longer drinks. The counselor asked
Sean if it would be okay to set an appointment for him at the outpatient center at the medical
center, which Sean seemed willing to do anything to stay in school. The counselor also agreed to
meet with Sean s parents to discuss the plan they have made to make it easier for Sean to confront
them. There are other intervention strategies that could have been provided such as a support group
that Sean can be involved in with other students who are in the same situation as Sean or who have
been there. When trying to stop

How Did Marilyn Monroe Influence Society
She was the biggest movie goddess, the prime sex symbol to be alive at her time; Marilyn Monroe
was desired by many men, and is still an inspiration to many generations of women. Even after more
than fifty years after her death, she still continues to be an unrivaled fashion and movie icon. Even
though, Marilyn Monroeis not alive today, she still continues to influence today s society by defying
the typical model standard.
Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jeane Baker on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California.
During her early years she overcame many hardships. Marilyn s father deserted the family before
her birth, so she spent most of her childhood not knowing her father s identity. There are two
possibilities Edward Mortenson, who was named on her birth certificate, and Stanley Gifford,
who worked with her mother Gladys. Marilyn moved between many foster homes, when her
mother was sent to a mental hospital after developing psychiatric problems. Eventually, Grace
Mckee, her mom s best friend, became her guardian. Mckee allowed nine year old Marilyn to curl
her hair and wear makeup until Mckee married and sent her to an orphanage. She was then sent to
live with her great aunt, Olive Brunings, and it was thought that Marilyn was sexually assaulted by
Olive s son.
When Marilyn was sixteen she escaped her former life by marrying Jim Dougherty, a twenty one
year old aircraft plant worker, who she sadly divorced four years later. By this time she had begun

The Types Of Parliamentary Democracies
The two types of Parliamentary democracies are direct democracy, also known as consociational or
consensus democracy, and representative democracy, otherwise called majoritarian democracy
(Dickovick 118 120). A consensus democracy is founded on the principle that the citizens govern
directly and that power is distributed between the executive and legislative branches to prevent and
limit one branch from gaining too much power. An example of a consensus democracyis
Switzerland, as it promotes consensus of the people, and it exhibits the factors necessary for a
direct democracy. Alternatively, a majoritarian democracy is based on the principle of majority
rules, and that power is concentrated and centralized. The United Kingdom is an example of a
majoritarian democracy because it follows the majority rule principle and possesses all the
qualities of a representative democracy. While consensus democracy and majoritarian democracies
are both forms of democracy, the contrasting approaches to democratic rule they engage in
foremost pertaining to the ideas of distribution of political power, causes the two types of
democracy to be diametrically opposite. A consociational or consensus democracy is commonly
used in heterogeneous or plural societies, as a majority rule democracy would be unpredictable and
hazardous in such a society. consensus democracy has its virtues in the front end of democracy. It
emphasizes the belief of the consensus of the people rather than the

Examples Of Grit In The Outsiders
Imagine you re surrounded and your friend is being attacked. What do you do next? If you re
Johnny Cade, you murder the leader of the group with your switchblade. This is particularly odd
since he s the gentlest person in your gang. Would you show grit in this crucial moment like he
did, or would you head for the hills? Let s talk more about grit; it stands for growth, resilience,
instinct, and tenacity. Johnny s passion is a blatant example of grit. Grit is passion and
perseverance for very long term goals, Angela Duckworth, the term s creator, states in a TED Talk.
The Outsiders character Johnny Cade demonstrates this precious quality in two ways. He displays
growth and passion when he overcomes his terror and defends his friend, respectively.

Engineering National Engineering College Tamil Nadu, India Abstract In this paper considers
an LTE Advanced cooperative cellular networks. LTE Release 8 is one of the primary
broadband technologies based on OFDM, which is mainly deployed in a macro/microcell
layout. It provides improved system capacity, coverage and seamless integration with existing
systems. LTE Advanced significantly enhances the existing LTE Release 8 and supports much
higher peak rates, higher throughput, coverage and lower latencies, which leads to better user
experience. Also, LTE Release 10 will support the relay networks. The LTE Advanced features
satisfy the IMT Advanced requirements. The objective of this work is to improve the cell edge
user s throughput or to extend the coverage area by placing relays in a cell edge area. When the
channel condition between the eNB and UE is not good, then the cooperative communication
takes place .The proposed system used the Type II relay station. To utilize the existing resources
effectively the RS and eNodeB transmit in the same channel (In Band) with decode and forward
strategy. The power dividing method between eNB and RS is proposed to maximize the
achievable rate on each subcarrier. This paper proposes the

Divine Law In Antigone
The play Antigone is written by Sophocles, one of the three ancient Greek writers whose plays
have survived till this modern time. Antigone mainly focuses on the events taking place due to a
past tragedy which took place in the city of Thebes , where the current king is the play s Antagonist
and Antigone is the Protagonist. The play revolves around the central theme of Human law vs
Divine law, According to the current king Creon, the crime committed by Polyneices accounted
him as a traitor and therefore he does not deserve a proper burial, even though the divine law of the
gods clearly states the every person deserves a proper burial.
The rejection of Antigone to follow Creon s law not to give Polyneices a proper burial deteriorates

He also opposed the irrational law of the gods and favored his own rational law. With Creon s
first law anyone who attempted to bury Polyneices will be sentenced to death . Clearly Creon
was offended by Polyneices and his emotions were brought out when he said, No man shall bury,
none should wail for him; unsepulchred, shamed in the eyes of men . This line has a profound
impact on the audience, as it gives them a good look at Creon s overall disposition, and it also
instills a feeling of resentment towards Creon, as he is misusing the power he has been given.
In addition to this, Creon also brings himself closer to the wrath of the gods by killing anyone
who attempts to bury Polyneices. This is basically killing an innocen person who has done
nothing wrong, and this crates further dislike towards Creon from the audience. Creon s egoistic
nature prevented him from seeing the true repercussions of his actions, and because he was
blinded by his power, he did not think that anyone would stand up to his changing of laws and
rules. His disbelief in everyone and everything gave him a very hard time to think whom to trust
and whom not to, he also did not believe the old prophet Teiresias , whose prophecies were right.
Teiresias predicted that Creon s harsh actions, unthoughtful laws and a steady course of his actions
would result in the death of his entire family and

Biography of Elizabeth Blackburn
Elizabeth Blackburn s adolescence was similar to that of other girls growing up in the 1960s. She
followed current trends in fashion, listened to the Beatles, and had siblings whom she argued with
but also admired. Additionally, she was also a model student who consistently achieved high marks
in academics. Being the fifth of seven children, her siblings considered her the most self motivated
of the bunch; worrying less about pleasing others and more about independent success. Although
Blackburn s family background is primarily English, she was born in Hobart, Tasmania, three years
after the conclusion of World War II. Her father s family travelled to Austrailia from Northern
England in 1882. Her great grandfather, Reverend Thomas... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In doing so, she aimed to support her younger sisters, Margaret and Caroline, and blunt the toll of
their mother s illness (Brady; ch. 2). With all of the activity surround Elizabeth Blackburn, the
presence of gender inequality hadn t become fully apparent. Gendered comments such as What s
a nice girl like you doing in science? were common but Blackburn would initially ignore the
question of why biochemistry and gender were so frequently discussed as a joint topic (Brady;
ch. 1). Yet at the same time, finding a balance between when, where, and to what degree of
femininity she should express was always an unrelenting battle in the back of her mind. Of course,
Blackburn attributed her lack of initial awareness as a defense mechanism that she is later
acquiesced halfheartedly. That is, she shielded herself against conflict by not challenging norms to
sustain a genderless state of mind (Brady; ch. 2). Blackburn s first real research experience
occurred during her fourth year as an undergraduate at Melbourne under the supervision of Theo
Dopheide and Barrie Davidson. Her role was characterizing and purifying an enzyme used by a
specific bacteria to better understand its involvement in biosynthesis of phenylalanine. Blackburn
first assayed for enzymatic activity using bacteria cell extracts for purification. Then, she used
electrophoresis to determine its mass. While her results were initially

Technology has created an unofficial, esports (Electronic Sports), which has grown rapidly over the past 4 years, erecting various Tournaments and bringing in millions of viewers. This service is twitch , as it has a monopoly on the video game broadcasting market. The broadcasters gain ad revenue and viewers can subscribe to streams, allowing them to gain an income from streaming and interacting with viewers, however, it is a free service and can be viewed by anyone without any payments needing to be made. Esports has influenced this due to the immense amount of organisations requiring professional players to implement streaming in their day to day activities. Streaming is an integral part of a professional gamer s life in the western world due to the ad revenue it provides. Companies attempt to raise the profile of the players through content on youtube such as gaming house tours, making the players seem more likeable and approachable, directly influencing the user interaction gained from streaming, thus, increasing revenue. By observing twitch streams I was able to find that the top 3 twitch streams on avg. at any one time would have 10 20 thousand viewers in the League of Legends section alone, as supported by statistic gathering website Socialblade , with the other 7 in the top 10 averaging 1 7 thousand. One of the many groups of people to come to America and help build into what she is today was the Scots. In order to discuss the Scottish immigration you must understand why they immigrated, what type of prejudice they faced, and what role the Scots now have in today s America. Though the Scots did not have the influx of people immigrating as the Irish, Italian, or English they had a major influence on the development of America. So much so that at the time of our first federal census (1790) people of Scottish (including Scottish Irish) origins made up more than six percent of the population. (geneologymagazine.com) By the year 2000 approximately 1.5 million Scots have immigrated to America. (Gormley) So were the Scottish discriminated against or did they discriminate. The truth of the matter is that though the Scottish was not discriminated against, they did participate in discrimination. The Scottish was some of the main farmers of cotton and tobacco. Because of this the Scottish owned many slaves and fought to be able to keep the African Americans slaves. Their discrimination against this race would continue well into the 1960 s. This would include discriminating against them in jobs, whether that being not hiring because of color, or not promoting for the same reason. For the most part the Scottish did real well for themselves once they were in America. A fair went on to have children who became presidents; Andrew Jackson was one of those children. Along with Andrew Jackson there were a few more Scots to help sign the Declaration of Independence. Many presidents later would be of Scottish decent. In this research work we compared effectiveness of decision tree method in Intrusion Detection System. We also compare the detection rate, false alarm rate for different types of attack. 1.0Background Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are software or hardware designed to automatically monitor activities within a network of computers and identify any security issues . IDS have been around for at least 30 years since increased enterprise network access produced a new challenge, the need for user access and monitoring. As day to day operations grew increasingly dependent upon shared use of information systems, levels of access to these systems and clear visibility into user activity was required to operate safely and securely. Many of the initial headway on IDS was made within the U.S. Air Force. In 1980, James P. Anderson, an innovator of information security and member of the Defense Science Board Task Force on Computer Security at the U.S. Air Force, produced Computer Security Threat Monitoring and Surveillance, a ... • 19. Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Review: Age related macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of blindness in people over the age of 50. Every ten years after the age of 50 the prevalence of this disease increases exponentially. Many different factors contribute to the development of AMD including genetic, environment, and metabolic functions. Aside from smoking, abnormal blood pressure, and an unhealthy diet low in fruits and vegetables, many more studies are concluding that similar inflammatory and oxidative processes seen in other age related diseases are also playing a key role in the development of AMD. This disease affects the central areas of the retinaand choroid. In return central vision is impaired while peripheral vision is usually not lost. AMD is seen in two different forms, the earlier nonneovascular (dry) type and the more advanced neovascular (wet) type. Each form has its own specific pathology and unique characteristics that set them apart. Fatty, protein deposits called drusens may be the key risk factor in understanding dry AMD pathology, progression, and treatment. Once the more advanced wet AMD is diagnosed, pathology and treatment are targeted around the formation and destruction of abnormal blood vessels, characteristic of the wet AMD eye. The increasing prevalence of AMD has influenced more investigation into what factors can be modulated to prevent the onset or to stop the progression of AMD. This text will discuss the pathology of drusens and the role of inflammationand ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this article two experiments tested the hypothesis that close friends of victims are less forgiving than the victims themselves. In Experiment 1, individuals imagined a scenario in which either their romantic partner or the romantic partner of a close friend committed an offense. Antagonistic Coevolution Between Bacterial and Phage Populations PCB 4674 Fall 2016 Abstract Often termed an evolutionary arms race, the enduring battle between bacterial and phage defenses against one another has shed insight into the mechanisms behind coevolution, and how these adaptations have led to diversification and speciation within both populations. Research into the relationship has yielded evidence that antagonistic coevolution can be advantageous for both phage and bacteria, often resulting in adaptations that would not have evolved by mutation through natural selection alone. This review provides background information on the relationship between bacteria and their phage, elucidating some of the mechanisms behind antagonistic coevolution and the resulting adaptations therein, and discusses the controversial use of phage therapy as treatment for some strains of antibiotic resistant bacteria. Data extracted from a study utilizing a species of marine bacteria and phage is provided as an example of a few basic adaptations behind coevolution and how they can lead to diversification in both host and parasitoid defenses, and subsequently, their populations. So many African Americans become a part of a gang because they probably do not have love and support at home. In William Faulkners A Rose for Emily, Miss Emily Grierson suffers an unfortunate fate due to her lack of willingness to evolve as the times changed, her intense need to keep up appearances, and her withdrawal from society which leads readers to accept her as a tragic hero. Throughout the course of the story, it becomes evident to readers that Miss Emily lived her life as though time was on pause, and nothing was allowed to be altered within the confines of her reality; in regard to this realization, one notes that this is where she first began her long fall down the well. • 40. The Types Of Parliamentary Democracies The two types of Parliamentary democracies are direct democracy, also known as consociational or consensus democracy, and representative democracy, otherwise called majoritarian democracy (Dickovick 118 120). A consensus democracy is founded on the principle that the citizens govern directly and that power is distributed between the executive and legislative branches to prevent and limit one branch from gaining too much power. An example of a consensus democracyis Switzerland, as it promotes consensus of the people, and it exhibits the factors necessary for a direct democracy. Alternatively, a majoritarian democracy is based on the principle of majority rules, and that power is concentrated and centralized. The United Kingdom is an example of a majoritarian democracy because it follows the majority rule principle and possesses all the qualities of a representative democracy. While consensus democracy and majoritarian democracies are both forms of democracy, the contrasting approaches to democratic rule they engage in foremost pertaining to the ideas of distribution of political power, causes the two types of democracy to be diametrically opposite. A consociational or consensus democracy is commonly used in heterogeneous or plural societies, as a majority rule democracy would be unpredictable and hazardous in such a society. consensus democracy has its virtues in the front end of democracy. Power Allocation Of Lte Advanced Networks Essay Power Allocation in LTE Advanced Networks S.DEEPA PRINCY Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering National Engineering College Tamil Nadu, India princydeeps@gmail.com P.KAVITHA Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering National Engineering College Tamil Nadu, India Abstract In this paper considers an LTE Advanced cooperative cellular networks. LTE Release 8 is one of the primary broadband technologies based on OFDM, which is mainly deployed in a macro/microcell layout. It provides improved system capacity, coverage and seamless integration with existing systems. LTE Advanced significantly enhances the existing LTE Release 8 and supports much higher peak rates, higher throughput, coverage and lower latencies, which leads to better user experience. Also, LTE Release 10 will support the relay networks. The LTE Advanced features satisfy the IMT Advanced requirements. The objective of this work is to improve the cell edge user s throughput or to extend the coverage area by placing relays in a cell edge area. When the channel condition between the eNB and UE is not good, then the cooperative communication takes place .The proposed system used the Type II relay station. To utilize the existing resources effectively the RS and eNodeB transmit in the same channel (In Band) with decode and forward strategy. The power dividing method between eNB and RS is proposed to maximize the achievable rate on each subcarrier. This paper proposes the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Divine Law In Antigone The play Antigone is written by Sophocles, one of the three ancient Greek writers whose plays have survived till this modern time. Antigone mainly focuses on the events taking place due to a past tragedy which took place in the city of Thebes , where the current king is the play s Antagonist and Antigone is the Protagonist. The play revolves around the central theme of Human law vs Divine law, According to the current king Creon, the crime committed by Polyneices accounted him as a traitor and therefore he does not deserve a proper burial, even though the divine law of the gods clearly states the every person deserves a proper burial. He also opposed the irrational law of the gods and favored his own rational law. With Creon s first law anyone who attempted to bury Polyneices will be sentenced to death . Clearly Creon was offended by Polyneices and his emotions were brought out when he said, No man shall bury, none should wail for him; unsepulchred, shamed in the eyes of men . This line has a profound impact on the audience, as it gives them a good look at Creon s overall disposition, and it also instills a feeling of resentment towards Creon, as he is misusing the power he has been given. In addition to this, Creon also brings himself closer to the wrath of the gods by killing anyone who attempts to bury Polyneices. This is basically killing an innocen person who has done nothing wrong, and this crates further dislike towards Creon from the audience. Creon s egoistic nature prevented him from seeing the true repercussions of his actions, and because he was blinded by his power, he did not think that anyone would stand up to his changing of laws and rules. His disbelief in everyone and everything gave him a very hard time to think whom to trust and whom not to, he also did not believe the old prophet Teiresias , whose prophecies were right. Teiresias predicted that Creon s harsh actions, unthoughtful laws and a steady course of his actions would result in the death of his entire family and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Biography of Elizabeth Blackburn Elizabeth Blackburn s adolescence was similar to that of other girls growing up in the 1960s. She followed current trends in fashion, listened to the Beatles, and had siblings whom she argued with but also admired. Additionally, she was also a model student who consistently achieved high marks in academics. Being the fifth of seven children, her siblings considered her the most self motivated of the bunch; worrying less about pleasing others and more about independent success. Although Blackburn s family background is primarily English, she was born in Hobart, Tasmania, three years after the conclusion of World War II. Her father s family travelled to Austrailia from Northern England in 1882. Her great grandfather, Reverend Thomas... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In doing so, she aimed to support her younger sisters, Margaret and Caroline, and blunt the toll of their mother s illness (Brady; ch. 2). With all of the activity surround Elizabeth Blackburn, the presence of gender inequality hadn t become fully apparent. Gendered comments such as What s a nice girl like you doing in science? were common but Blackburn would initially ignore the question of why biochemistry and gender were so frequently discussed as a joint topic (Brady; ch. 1). Yet at the same time, finding a balance between when, where, and to what degree of femininity she should express was always an unrelenting battle in the back of her mind. Of course, Blackburn attributed her lack of initial awareness as a defense mechanism that she is later acquiesced halfheartedly. That is, she shielded herself against conflict by not challenging norms to sustain a genderless state of mind (Brady; ch. 2). Blackburn s first real research experience occurred during her fourth year as an undergraduate at Melbourne under the supervision of Theo Dopheide and Barrie Davidson. Her role was characterizing and purifying an enzyme used by a specific bacteria to better understand its involvement in biosynthesis of phenylalanine. Blackburn first assayed for enzymatic activity using bacteria cell extracts for purification. Then, she used electrophoresis to determine its mass. While her results were initially ...
