Jordan Losh created a melting globe on an ice cream cone using Gimp to show the damage of fossil fuels to the planet. They first watched training videos to learn how to use Gimp's tools. An alien robot has crash landed on Earth and must navigate various levels like warehouses and junkyards to find parts to repair his spaceship. In each level he faces obstacles like switches and conveyor belts as well as puzzles involving liquids and pipes.
A paper craft character named Bob, created by an office worker, magically comes to life and wants to leave the boring office. To progress through levels representing the office desk and floor, Bob must use staplers, paper clips, and paper planes to solve puzzles avoiding threats like thumbtacks and water.
Midway through the game Bob realizes the dangers of the outside world and seeks to return safely to his office, with levels becoming harder. The game ends with Bob
Adrienne rich digital imaging

Some programs like Paint.Net and Blogger were relatively easy to learn, while others like Prezi and Sony Vegas Pro took more time and practice to understand how to use effectively.

Each pair will then choose one energy source to build a model of using recyclables and robotics. The models will demonstrate how energy is generated. The goal is for students to gain a better understanding of alternative energies and how they can replace fossil fuels.

How I used gimp
- 1. Jordan Losh CI 350 Narrative of Digital Imaging Using Gimp When I first began Gimp I experienced many issues as far as understanding how to use the tools. So the first thing I did was go to Lynda.com and watch some of their training videos, I watched "Exploring the Gimp Interface" and "Working with basic selection tools". The videos guided me through using the tools, and how to get started. Once I got an understanding of how to use the tools, I choose my pictures, and what I wanted to make. I thought of many different possibilities, but I decided to use a melting globe on an ice cream cone to show the damage of fossil fuels to the planet. I choose my images and began to use the "Lasso tool" to crop the images the way I wanted them. Next, I had to change the background on both pictures to transparent rather than the default, white. This was particularly difficult for me to find the correct tool, so I had to watch more training videos that was specific to this step. Finally, when I got all of my pictures cropped and transparent, I sat the globe on top of the ice cream cone using different layers. It took me a couple of tries to get the layers to correctly sit on top of each other. Lastly, I added the text to the image, I centered it, changed the text color, and bolded the letters. When I was completely done I saved the image as a JPEG file.
