This document summarizes a panel discussion at the 2013 Rotary International Convention on attracting and retaining young professionals. The panel consisted of five Rotary Coordinators who discussed strategies for identifying and engaging young professionals, and the value they bring to Rotary clubs. Some of the key strategies discussed included asking local Rotaract and other youth clubs for referrals, starting new Rotaract clubs, using alumni databases from youth exchange and other programs, and leveraging the professional networks of younger Rotarians. The panelists stressed the importance of making clubs more relevant, fashionable, and opportunities for professional growth in order to attract and keep young professional members.
