Editor's Notes

  • #3 Barry to introduce self
  • #4 Joey to introduce self.
  • #5 NOT SURE ABOUT THIS.. LO DEJAMOS O LO QUITAMOS
  • #6  The facilitators will overview, briefly, background information on these objectives to help stimulate further discussion. Please ask questions throughout.
  • #8 It is very important to keep Rotaract Clubs excited about Rotary but it is also important to build strong relationships between the members. Usually clubs get to meet once a month at a restaurant or other venue to socialize or celebrate personal milestones and other special occasions that are important in their members’ lives.
  • #9 District social events promotes this relationships to grow and créate long lasting friendships. Clubs meeting each other can find oportunities to work together in different projects. Hold an annual camping, dinner or retreat with all the clubs in your district to have fun and reflect on the work you've done in the past year.
  • #11 Hold a networking meeting to build relationships and rapport with one another. Conduct a joint networking event with Rotaractors and invite business professionals in the community to increase the visibility of Rotaract, bring in new members, and form potential partnerships.  Plan a training event to enhance members’ leadership skills or teach them a new skill that will help them carry out a project.
  • #12 The requirements to start a Rotaract club are minimal, but you can provide the new club insight into how good Rotaract clubs function. Be the expert resource and ensure that club leaders are set up for success. Prompts: How can the district/DRR support new Rotaract clubs?
  • #13 Be the voice at the district level for all of the Rotaract clubs in the district – being DRR is not only about supporting the clubs in the district, it’s also about representing and advocating for Rotaract within your Rotary district.
  • #14  Prompts: What are ways the DRR can work to promote Rotaract within their Rotaract clubs? How can they inspire clubs? How have you inspired a club other than your own to improve or grow? Possibilities: utilizing social media or other means to connect with clubs, visiting clubs and presenting at meetings (sometimes an “official visit”).
  • #15  What are your strategies for attracting new members? What are your tactics for engaging your current members? Why do people join Rotaract? Where do you see opportunities for membership development? Purpose of this discussion is to get participants thinking through the membership development processes within their own districts and identify opportunities to improve – look for strengths and weaknesses and build a plan based on priorities.
