Rotary's mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. To become a Rotarian, one must attend three free lunches, fill out an application, have a sponsor bring it to the board for approval, pay prorated fees upon acceptance, and commit to attending 12 meetings per year and joining a committee while supporting community work. Interested individuals should contact De-de Mulligan or Phil Leiter for more information or to attend a Wednesday lunch meeting at Laurel Lake until March 1st.

The Pen-Web Rotary club meeting covered the following:
1) The president outlined the club's goals for 2012-2013 which centered around literacy, global issues, and community service. Fundraisers like a casino night and wine raffle aim to raise $1000 each for supporting projects in these areas.
2) The club was recognized for its high per capita giving to The Rotary Foundation last year, donating over $134 per member.
3) In his report, the treasurer gave an update on finances and the wine tour raffle recap. The Foundation report and service report also provided updates.

Interact club is Program of Rotary International in which children aged 12-18 are doing wonderful service activities. They are taught leadership skills and also learn the empathy for others and do the community service projects.
