role of bullying and its effects on mental health. Bullying, especially during the tender
age like teens, is a serious threat that can harm the mental balance of the kids.
According to a recent study done by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
around 20% of high school students are facing bullying in their school premises by their
classmates or seniors.
According to Dr. Julio Licinio, bullying has a long term effect both on the victim and the
attacker. Moreover, with the advent of technology, cyberbullying is increasing day by
day. There are so many conditions associated with the problem like violence, increased
risk of depression along with academic problems. There are changes in mental behavior
also. Interestingly, not only the person who is bullied, there are certain changes in the
actions of the attacker.
