Enable Critical broadband networks - When business performance, and even lives are at stake, you need technology that you can rely on. Around the world and across industries, there is a growing demand for business critical and mission-critical broadband communications. To serve these types of organizations, service providers need to deliver the highest level of availability, reliability and security . That is why we have launched a new Critical Broadband Networks offering, which enables service providers and government operators to ensure critical communications when it really matters.
The offering consists of:
Critical network capabilities: Guaranteeing performance of a business- or mission-critical network and enabling operators to effectively serve critical industries.
Critical broadband applications: Includes Ericsson’s Group-Radio application suite of Mission-Critical Push-to-Talk, Data and Video services. Combined, these provide land mobile radio users with a migration path to LTE and 5G, whilst retaining existing operational capabilities for mission-critical group communications.
Flexible deployments for private networks: deployment models for both local private networks as well as for nationwide networks, leveraging operators’ existing assets and operations to gain business scale, and faster time-to-market.

Over the past year, we’ve talked to customers all over the world about our UNPLUG! Logics – smart ways of creating mobile broadband value that are inspired by models from other industries. We started UNPLUG! by discussing business before moving onto technology – and we’ve had a great response. Now it’s time for the third phase of the campaign – it’s time to focus on growth.
STRATEGIC is a project that focus on the migration to the cloud and the development of cloud services used by public bodies, by offering secure and privacy friendly localization, adaptation and governance of public cloud services.

The problem of radicalisation is very high on the European agenda as increasing numbers of young European radicals return from Syria and use the internet to disseminate propaganda. To enable policy makers to design policies to address radicalisation effectively, Policy Cloud consortium will collect data from social media and other sources including the open-source Global Terrorism Database (GTD), the Onion City search engine which accesses data over the TOR dark web sites, and Twitter ( through Firehose). The data will be analysed using sentiment analysis and opinion mining software.

Telecoms operators approaches to M2M and IoTTom Rebbeck
Telecoms operator strategies for IoT have tended to be tactical and ad hoc. Telecoms operators need to develop a sustainable long-term position with regard to the M2M market and the broader IoT opportunity.
This presentation explores the alternative approaches telecoms operators have taken to M2M/IoT and suggests what we believe is a more sustainable long term approach.

The 5G era: New horizons for advanced-electronics and industrial companiesDESMOND YUEN
The next generation of wireless connectivity has arrived: 5G has the capacity to support a huge number of connections simultaneously while improving speed, latency, reliability, and power consumption for handsets and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. As with the transition from 3G to 4G, there are many uncertainties. Where is the value coming from, and who is going to capture it? What are the use cases where 5G performance enhancements will generate the most value and demand? And which applications will most benefit from 5G?

Up the Ratios Bylaws - a Comprehensive Process of Our Organizationuptheratios
Up the Ratios is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap in STEM education for underprivileged students by providing free, high-quality learning opportunities in robotics and other STEM fields. Our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and problem-solvers by offering a range of educational programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
At Up the Ratios, we believe that every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, should have access to the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in today's technology-driven world. To achieve this, we host a variety of free classes, workshops, summer camps, and live lectures tailored to students from underserved communities. Our programs are designed to be engaging and hands-on, allowing students to explore the exciting world of robotics and STEM through practical, real-world applications.
Our free classes cover fundamental concepts in robotics, coding, and engineering, providing students with a strong foundation in these critical areas. Through our interactive workshops, students can dive deeper into specific topics, working on projects that challenge them to apply what they've learned and think creatively. Our summer camps offer an immersive experience where students can collaborate on larger projects, develop their teamwork skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
In addition to our local programs, Up the Ratios is committed to making a global impact. We take donations of new and gently used robotics parts, which we then distribute to students and educational institutions in other countries. These donations help ensure that young learners worldwide have the resources they need to explore and excel in STEM fields. By supporting education in this way, we aim to nurture a global community of future leaders and innovators.
Our live lectures feature guest speakers from various STEM disciplines, including engineers, scientists, and industry professionals who share their knowledge and experiences with our students. These lectures provide valuable insights into potential career paths and inspire students to pursue their passions in STEM.
Up the Ratios relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to continue our work. Contributions of time, expertise, and financial support are crucial to sustaining our programs and expanding our reach. Whether you're an individual passionate about education, a professional in the STEM field, or a company looking to give back to the community, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
We are proud of the positive impact we've had on the lives of countless students, many of whom have gone on to pursue higher education and careers in STEM. By providing these young minds with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed, we are not only changing their futures but also contributing to the advancement of technology and innovation on a broader scale.

3. 5G Context
5G cPPP phases 1 and 2 have supported R&I on technologies and architectures
for 5G. This Phase 3 targets their validation in a system context and for multiple
use cases, with performances well beyond those of early 5G trials planned over
the 2018-20 period with "non standalone" 5G implementations, and supporting
innovative "vertical" use cases as per the 5G Action Plan adopted by the
Commission.
It also aims at leveraging 5G technologies towards downstream innovation both
at service and product levels, at maintaining a significant long term commitment
to prepare for 5G "Long Term Evolution", and at leveraging international
cooperation towards industrial consensus on 5G key aspects such as
interoperability, architecture, standards, and spectrum.

8. CYBERSECURITY Context
The Cybersecurity contractual Public Private Partnership (cPPP) was established
in July 2016 aiming at building trust among Member States and industry by
fostering cooperation at early stages in the R&I process and helping to align
demand and supply. It will facilitate the engagement of end-users in sectors that
are important beneficiaries and customers of cybersecurity solutions towards
defining and providing to the industry their sector-specific digital security,
privacy and data protection common requirements. The topics belonging to this
Cybersecurity call are part of the contribution of the Commission to the
cybersecurity cPPP.
Proposals under this call may be subject to security scrutiny if they could
potentially lead to security-sensitive results that should be classified + they
should consider the relevant human factor and social aspects.
