1. Also known as the American Revolutionary War or the United States
War of Independence is one of America’s notable events in history
which largely influenced the fate of its future. Occurring between the
years 1775 to 1883, it was the period where 13 North American
colonies revolted against British rule when they enforced greater
control over the colonies and imposed unpopular taxes and laws
after a long time of salutary neglect. This uprising played a huge role
in bringing the colonies-turned-states together and the Declaration of
Independence of the United States of America. The desire for
independence led them to create a nation founded on the principles
of liberty, equality, civil rights, and responsible citizenship which
brought significant change and built the society they have today.

2. Happened during the American Revolutionary War, the Boston
Tea Party was one of the first significant acts of rebellion against
British rule. It was a political protest which took place on
December 16, 1773, at Griffin's Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts
where American colonists threw 342 chests of tea imported by
the British East India Company into the harbor after being
enraged by the British imposing “taxation without
representation” and demonstrated that they would not accept
taxes and oppression. The major goal of this act was not to
increase money from the colonies, but to bail out the failing East
India Company, who plays a major role in the British economy.

America, he was also recognized as the American General
and Commander-in-chief of the Continental Army who
played an important role in leading the patriot forces to
victory in the American Revolution. His ability to hold the
trust and confidence of the army and the people showed his
potential as a leader and served as the first president of the
U.S. and presided over the Constitutional Convention,
drafting the U.S. Constitution.

5. Taking place from May 14 to September 17, 1787 in
Pennsylvania State House, the Constitutional Convention
was one of the most momentous occurrences in the U.S.
Constitutional History. In this meeting, delegates have
gathered to discuss writing a new constitution that would
set the nation on the course of becoming a Constitutional
Republic instead of revising the Articles of Confederation
from the existing government. George Washington, who
was elected as the first president, was also chosen to
preside over this convention
