Innovation Workshops from Catalign Innovation Consultingvpdabholkar
I facilitate two types of innovation workshops: (a) "How-to" workshops (b) "What-next" workshops. Primary objective of the "How-to" workshops is learning tools and techniques. Primary objective of the "What-next" workshops is deriving actions in the innovation journey of a team / organization. Topics include challenge framing, idea generation, idea selection, experiment design, idea communication etc.
Design thinking: A 2 day workshop in Bangalorevpdabholkar
This is a brief introduction to the 2-day workshop on Design Thinking to be held in Hotel Grand Mercure, Bangalore on Nov 3-4, 2017. It will be facilitated by Vinay Dabholkar.

This is a high level overview of this presentation. This focus of this presentation is how to leverage lean UX in Drupal. First this is not a development / UX approach for everyone. First determine your site vision and key performance indicators. Then craft user stories and define functional specs. Build, test, iterate! Go with the flow of Drupal and find more project success.
Since the publication of the Agile Manifesto in 2001, Agile has grown to be the standard practice for the software development industry and teams around the globe. Seeing the success of this approach, other areas of the business are looking to adopt it; but…how do you “run agile” in non-software development teams? How do you apply the Agile principles and tools to an Operations, Sales or an HR team? And more importantly, how does your business achieve Business Agility as a whole?

Rethink Drupal Support. Stop the Bleeding!Anne Stefanyk
Support work can range from being a furious fire-fighting activity to a careful unraveling of someone else's code. An engagement often starts with an anxious client and an impossible timeline… just get it fixed asap. But what if this type of ad hoc approach is just throwing fuel on the fire and making things worse?

However, building and sustaining a strong relationship requires a unique approach and making us of variety of tools to create the right work culture . In this session we will talk about common issues that lead to burnout and attrition. But most importantly we will talk about key tactics to keep your development (and all other staff) happy, inspired, creative, productive and most importantly, part of YOUR team.
As companies evolve to adopt, integrate and leverage software as the defining element of their success in the 21st century, a rash of processes and methodologies are vying for their product teams' attention. This Session will give you guidelines on how to start an innovative business lean and fast by using design thinking, lean and agile approaches and how to build high-performing digital product teams. The session will finish with discussing Lean Agile meets Design Thinking to give a meaningful conclusion.
Designing a Single Experience for Different UsersUXDXConf
At Kaplan, Raina was tasked, alongside a digital transformation team, to shift the in-person learning experience for tens of thousands of students to virtual classes. There were many elements at play with a culture shift to being product-led, a business looking to define the ROI of continuous innovation and a single customer experience being designed to serve learners across 10 different courses. So how did Raina's team design and advocate for a single customer-centric UX?
In this session, Raina will talk about her journey through this transformation and touch on:
Why the team moved from using personas to mindsets in order to create successful and consistent user experiences.
The metrics for UX she developed to measure success throughout the process, and
The challenges she encountered in this journey and learnings she picked up along the way

“Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth in the end because once you get there you can move mountains.”
How keeping things simple can help build better products. There are simple and powerful ways that can help us to reduce the risk of starting new initiatives and get real feedback quickly. I will share experiences where simple techniques of using a pen and a paper to create a paper prototypes helped us answer complex problems and validate business ideas, quickly.

The convention in startupland is that moving fast, putting in the energy, time and work are the guiding principles that yield results - and ultimately growth. While these are key factors in how we prioritise experiments and make decisions, there's one element missing - direction. What's often ignored in the prioritisation process are the vectors of velocity, momentum, and lift as they relate to how we decide what to do next.
Choosing the 'right' thing to experiment on
-Litmus tests for understanding the health of users
-Strategies for product scoping, and growth

Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban: Which Is Right for You?TechWell
Agile is on everyone’s minds today, as more and more organizations are eager to reap the benefits of rapid iterations using customer-centric approaches. Organizations tend to run to Scrum first because it is the most recognized agile framework. But is Scrum always the right answer for a team and a business? Heidi Araya discusses the types of scenarios and projects in which Scrum may not be a good fit. She shares other frameworks—including Kanban and Scrumban—as potential alternatives to consider to ensure teams and projects select the right fit and can deliver great software efficiently. Some considerations include organizational culture, size of teams, team composition, types of work, industry requirements, overall project size, and type of project. Go back to your organizations and confidently select the right frameworks for your current and future roles and projects—and explain to management why the framework chosen is appropriate.

Review and discuss the basic agile practices in the context of two games. The first game will illustrate why small batches are important and how they can help you address project risks sooner. The second game will illustrate how small batches can help give you better information about your project sooner and will demonstrate some of the basic agile practices at work like iterations, continuous flow, manage to done, velocity, retrospectives, etc.

Four User Insight Techniques in 60 minutes
Beyond asking users to play with your prototype or product how do you get meaningful feedback to influence your design? This talk was from an interactive Meetup about how to gather deeper information from users. We started with a quick introduction of four techniques of gathering information: observation, talk out loud, contextual inquiry, and storytelling. Then volunteers from the audience practiced these four techniques with a volunteer user using a real product from a local startup. We discussed how these methods gave triangulation and depth to what could be learned in interviews. There are MANY tools for gathering insight; these four are good ones to add to your toolkit.
A dive into DESIGN THINKING – Making products and services that people wantAndy McBride
Terms such as ‘design’, ‘design thinking’, ‘agile’ and ‘MVP’ are now casually talked about in many organisations. Beyond the buzzword bingo, there are real methodologies and approaches that can help all teams deliver great solutions. Like many organisations, QUT needs to respond quickly to the increasingly complex challenges of our internal audience with innovative solutions that are also feasible and viable. Over the past year QUT has taken a design thinking approach to developing its new service experience – HiQ. HiQ brings together service and communication teams, and integrates information, technology and physical spaces. The result is a personalised and consistent experience of QUT across our diverse internal audiences, that aims to engage with them wherever they are.

Lean thinking is a business methodology that aims to provide a new way to think about how to organize human activities to deliver more benefits to society and value to individuals while eliminating waste.
Agile development methods such as Scrum, XP, and kanban have achieved notable success in improving speed to value, reducing waste, and raising customer and team satisfaction. Successful practitioners worldwide have cut development times, improved product quality, and reduced development cost. Underlying these agile methods are timeless lean principles—focus on customer value, respect for people, and continuous improvement. Sanjiv Augustine describes how agile teams are implementing lean management. Learn the basics of lean, including its origins in the Toyota Production System, and how to apply lean to software development with disciplined practices such as automated build-and-test and test-driven development. Find out how to apply kanban to non-software activities including operations and maintenance. Take away new approaches for PMOs to manage WIP, how executive teams can use visual control to manage their enterprises, and how kaizen teams drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Whether we like it or not, a large part of our thinking is wasteful. It expresses itself as repetitive and compulsive thought patterns typically labelled as worry, anxiety, frustration, blame, guilt etc. This drains our energy and hinders creative decision making. Mindfulness is about recognizing thought patterns to be wasteful while thinking. This workshop explores how mindfulness can be experimented with on the go - any time, anywhere.

The Matrix as a system vs thought as a systemvpdabholkar
"The Matrix" is a popular sci-fi film released in 1999. "Thought as a system" is a book by David Bohm which explores the dysfunctional process of human thinking. In this presentation, we explore six attributes on which the two systems are similar. We are hoping that this will help the viewer understand process of thinking better. The presentation ends by showing whether the analogy breaks as well.
Most of us find it difficult to allocate time (say, 30 minutes) for an activity such as meditation. How to steal time during the day, say while we are waiting for the elevator, and meditate? Here are a few tips on "Mindfulness on the go: meditation in a time stealing mode". These slides were used during a half-day workshop conducted in Bangalore, India.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Moreover, the rise in sports injuries and road accidents are also contributing to the demand for orthopedic devices. Advances in technology and the introduction of innovative implants and prosthetics have further propelled the market growth. Additionally, government initiatives aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure and the increasing prevalence of lifestyle diseases have led to an upward trend in orthopedic surgeries, thereby fueling the market demand for these devices.

When there are fewer customers, the service delivery was quick and
efficient and surplus staff could have provided extra services.
Customers increasingly relied on a person guiding them where to go or
what to do next inspite of signs.
Even a well equipped counter could not serve well because the queue
system was dysfunctional.
