Library Hours for the Gill Library Home Page. We have organized the
first part of the library home page under four headings:
Monday – Thursday “About Gill,” “Resources,” “Services,” and “Need Help.”
9:00am – 11:00pm
Friday Reference Services
9:00am – 5:00pm
The Gill Library Reference Librarians are available at
Saturday the Reference Desk during all hours that the Library is
10:00am – 6:00pm open. If you wish to ask a reference question online,
click “Ask a Librarian” under “Need Help.” If you wish to
schedule a “Hands-on Help” tutorial with a librarian for
Sunday individual instruction, click “Hands on Help” under
1:00pm – 11:00pm “Services.”

2. Books and Media
To find books and media (DVDs, Videos, Cassettes) owned by Gill Library, click
“Books and Media” under “Resources.” Books at the branch campus libraries can be
sent to the main campus through Intercampus Loan.
Journal Articles
To find journal articles, click “Articles and Journals” listed under “Resources.”
Choose the database you wish to use to find journal articles on your specific subject.
Ask the reference librarian if you need assistance in choosing which database to
search. Or, you can search all of the library’s resources using “Quick Search” (in the
middle section of the library home page).
Interlibrary Loan
Students, faculty, and staff who wish to obtain books not owned by Gill Library or
photocopies of journal articles not held by Gill Library can obtain them using the ILLiad
Interlibrary Loan system. To access the ILLiad system, click “ILLiad” under “Services.”
RefWorks
If you need help creating a bibliography or managing your research you can use
“RefWorks.” To access Refworks, click “RefWorks” under “Resources.” For those not
familiar with RefWorks, it is highly recommended that you register and attend the “Intro
to RefWorks” workshop.
Search Other Libraries
To find books not owned by Gill Library, use “WorldCat” (located in the lower right
corner of the library home page under “Search Other Libraries”).
