Textiles are products made from fabrics, which are materials made from fibers. There are two kinds of fabrics: natural fabrics made from plant and animal fibers like cotton, linen, wool, and silk, and man-made fabrics from synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester created by humans. When selecting a material, some criteria to consider include cost, appearance, texture, durability, and washability.
