1. HEI Resources Partners with Rocky Mountain Kids
As a dedicated member of the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado, HEI Resources has contributed
to a number of local organizations in order to help the disadvantaged and underserved. Currently, HEI
Resources supports Rocky Mountain Kids, a Colorado Springs-based organization that assists pre-teens
and adolescents who have suffered from abuse or neglect.
Working with Colorado's Department of Human Services, Rocky Mountain Kids has accumulated over a
decade of experience providing housing and care for boys and girls separated from their families.
Through its shelter for girls, Future Bound, and two shelters for boys, Drew's Place and Nevada House,
the organization has helped more than 400 children between the ages of 12 and 18. In addition to
providing housing, Rocky Mountain Kids works directly with its charges to help them overcome any
problems that may have arisen due to abuse or neglect. The organization also focuses on providing life-
skills training, guiding young men and women to become productive and happy members of society by
ensuring they receive a good education and that they learn to be effective in today's job market.
