Alexander Graham Bell was a Scottish scientist and inventor born in 1847 who invented the telephone in 1876 after experimenting with electricity and sound in Canada. He died in 1922 at age 75 having made one of the most important inventions in communications history.

H e finished school when he was fifteen and at the age of sixteen he worked as a music teacher in an academy in Scotland. In 1870 he moved to Canada and started experiments with electricity and sound. Then , in 1876 he invented the telephone.
