2. 1. บทนา... อ่านประโยคต่อไปนี้
 The importer checked the goods.ผู้นาเข้า
ตรวจดูสินค้า (ตรวจเอง)
 He noticed the damage. เขาสังเกตเห็นความ
เสียหาย (สังเกตเห็นเอง)
 He had the consignment inspected by an
insurance agent.
 เขาจัดการให้สินค้าถูกตรวจสอบโดยตัวแทนประกันภัย (ไม่ได้
ตรวจสอบเอง เรียก/ขอให้ตัวแทนประกันภัยมาตรวจ)

3. หมายเหตุ: คาแปลอาจประหลาดๆ หน่อย แต่
ตั้งใจแปลตรงตัวให้เห็นโครงสร้างเดิมใน
ภาษาอังกฤษ ถ้าจะแปลให้ได้ความหมายทั่วๆ
ไป ในภาษาไทย นิยมใช้รูป active หรือ
จัดการให้ใครทามากกว่า ที่จะบอกว่า จัดการ
ให้อะไรถูกทา

 เน้นสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นมากกว่าผู้กระทา บางครั้ง ไม่จาเป็นต้องบอกว่า
ใครทา
 สังเกต word order หรือลาดับคา
 Subject – verb - direct object - past
participle (+ by ผู้กระทา)
 He (subject) had (verb) the consignment
(direct object) inspected (past participle)
by an insurance agent. (ผู้กระทากริยา inspect)

5. 3.Verb “have” เปลี่ยน tense ได้
 We always have our order shipped by air.
เราจัดการให้สินค้าที่เราสั่งซื้อถูกส่งทางอากาศเสมอ
 He had the report sent to the overseas
subsidiaries. เขาจัดการให้รายงานถูกส่งไปยังบริษัทใน
เครือต่างประเทศ
 I’m having a feasibility study prepared. ฉัน

 They had an agency organize the whole

 We are having a lawyer investigate the

10. 6. หมายเหตุ:
 6.1 Have something done ไม่ได้หมายความว่า
จะต้องเป็นการจัดการให้เกิดขึ้นอย่างตั้งอกตั้งใจเสมอไป เช่น
 He had his passport stolen at the airport.
หนังสือเดินทางของเขาถูกขโมยไปที่สนามบิน
 เห็นชัดว่า ไม่ควรใช้ *He had someone steal his
passport. ซึ่งถูก grammar แต่ความหมายเหมือนกับ
เป็นการจัดฉาก เขาจัดการให้มีใครคนหนึ่งขโมยหนังสือเดินทาง
ของเขา


11.  6.2 ในบริบทที่ไม่เป็นทางการนัก อาจใช้ get แทน have
 เช่น Will you get a few more copies made?
คุณจะช่วยจัดการให้มีการถ่ายเอกสารเพิ่มอีกหน่อยได้ไหม
 She gotTim to do it. เธอจัดการให้ทิมเป็นคนทาเรื่อง

 บางครั้ง have someone do sth. ก็น่าจะเหมาะสมกว่า
เช่น ในประโยคนี้ เป็นการเน้นผู้กระทา
 I have had the largest two suppliers give
me a quotation. ฉันจัดการให้ซัพพลายเออร์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุด
สองรายเสนอราคาให้ฉัน
