2. FACTS ABOUT MY ANIMAL
The Ring Tailed Lemur lives in Madagascar off an
island of South Africa.
Lemurs have a wooly coat that is usually
Red, Brown and Black. They also have Black and
White striped tails.
They eat seeds, leaves, plants, flowers, birds and
bird eggs.
They are active at night and have
a fox like face.
They are related to Monkeys and
Apes. They have long legs for
jumping.

My animal is a vertebrate because they
have a backbone. The class is apes and
monkeys. My class is called primates.

Africa , Madagascar only on one island.
My animal lives in the Rainforest because
lemurs love to swing from tree to tree.
Also, good resources live there.
They are known for sleeping in trees and
nests.
5. WHY IS MY ANIMAL ENDANGERED.
My animal is endangered in many ways.
First, people are burning trees for charcoal and
that is destroying the Lemurs habitat. Also, all
36 kinds of lemurs are endangered.
Finally, people keep Lemurs as pets and are
found in very small cages. That is why my
animal is endangered.
6. HOW IS MY ANIMAL BEING PROTECTED?
My animal is being protected by people
keeping them in the right captivity.
7. WHAT IS RELATED TO A RING TAILED LEMUR.
The Ring Tailed Lemur is related to
Apes, Monkeys, Gorillas and other types of
lemurs. Also to chimpanzees and black spider
monkeys.
