Brian L. Shields is the co-founder of IncubateNYC, an incubation program that aims to help first-time entrepreneurs. Traditional accelerators, incubators, and programs had acceptance rates below 3% and were often inaccessible or ineffective. IncubateNYC teaches entrepreneurs how to build profitable businesses from day one through its venture bootcamp. The program is open to any first-time founder and provides workspace to work on their business while still employed. IncubateNYC believes innovation starts by solving personal problems, and encourages people to create solutions if existing options don't adequately address their needs.
