Dr. Steve Sider has conducted numerous research projects in Haiti related to educational leadership over the past 15 years. These include: 1) training over 500 school administrators through two leadership courses; 2) providing workshops to 250 teachers on transformational leadership and teaching practices; and 3) editing an anthology of chapters written by Haitian school administrators on issues in Haitian education. He is currently applying for several grants to fund additional projects in areas like digital mentoring, transformational leadership development, and collaborative research networks.

3. School Administrator Training
• Timeframe: 2005-current
• In partnership with Haitian
principals, developed two, one-
week courses focused on a variety
of leadership topics (e.g. curriculum
development, communication,
developing strategic plans)
• Approximately 500 school
administrators, from across Haiti,
have taken these courses over the
past 5 years. There is an
agreement with Universidad FLET
(Florida)/Laurel University (North
Carolina) to accept the courses
